Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Beneath a starry curtain of night sky, upon the boundless blue sea, the Dawn Sound sailed along the edge of the green coast.

At this time, everyone on the Dawn Sound, except for Juanlu who was on night duty, had fallen into a deep sleep, lost in their dreams.

Even Ulllius had curled up in a corner of the deck, snoring softly. A barrier of crystals automatically guarded her as she slept.

「In Alka’s Dream Realm.」

Alka, having just fallen asleep, observed his Dream Bubbles.

Is it going to be full again?

Feeling his own strength, Alka murmured helplessly. He already felt that his strength had reached the perfection of the Fourth Stage and was seemingly about to break through to the Fifth Stage.

”Dad, Huan wants to see you about something,” Xuan’s voice came from beside him.

Hearing this, Alka turned to look at her.

”What is it?”

”I don’t know. You’ll have to go out and ask Huan yourself.”

Upon hearing this, Alka nodded and floated out of his Dream Bubble.

Outside, the Mirror Palace had completely changed its appearance. A conical Crystal Stone had become the core of the entire Mirror Palace. Throughout the entire palace, such Crystal Stones floated everywhere, though they were much smaller than the one at its core.

As Alka emerged from his Dream Bubble, a white horse swiftly flew over and carried him on its back. Besides the white horse, two bizarre, mist-like creatures also guarded the area around Alka’s Dream Bubbles, ensuring his safety.

Although Alka felt it wasn’t necessary.

However, to the dream creatures within the Palace, this was a necessary symbol of the Dream Realm King.

”King, where to?” the white horse asked.

”To Huan’s location.”

Hearing Alka’s words, the white horse immediately fluttered its wings of white mist, its hooves striking the ground as it moved rapidly within the Palace. The Palace was not large, and at the white horse’s speed, it took less than half a minute to reach the entrance—the gateway between the interior and the exterior.

Huan currently stood outside, facing several peculiar dream creatures. Not just mist creatures, Alka also saw light-shadow creatures. The white horse suddenly froze.

Alka asked, ”Do you know them?”

”Yes,” the white horse replied. ”They were all members of the Mirmi Court before. That light-shadow creature was even the Court Manager.”

Mirmi’s deputy, a mist creature, was actually a light-shadow creature?

Curiously, Alka looked at that light-shadow creature. Its appearance was somewhat similar to a Dream Death God, but only superficially. Upon closer inspection, the differences were quite significant. Trailing robes composed of light and shadow, pure black, enveloped it entirely. His face was invisible; or rather, it was a dark mist. A massive black Scepter floated beside the robe’s right side. What emerged from the robe was not a hand, but rather something like ethereal, smoky flames.

”Let’s go outside,” Alka said.

The white horse nodded and passed through the film of the Mirror Surface, arriving in the outer Dream World.

Faced with these suddenly appearing figures, the several dream creatures who were chatting shifted their attention. The light-shadow creature, referred to as the Court Deputy, focused his attention directly on Alka.

A... Hunter, is he?

A Hunter becoming a king... an unprecedented combination.

The moment he saw Alka, the many questions this light-shadow creature had were instantly answered.

He turned his head towards Huan and said, ”Very well, I will temporarily join you.”

His words weren’t akin to soul-whispering; he spoke like a normal person. This was something relatively difficult for dream creatures to achieve. Even the white horse, with its Fifth Stage strength, had to use a form of soul voice to communicate with Alka within the Dream Realm. Clearly, this light-shadow creature’s strength surpassed that of the white horse.

This was primarily Alka’s intuition.

Alka’s mind processed the information the white horse conveyed about the light-shadow creature before them.

”He is known as Shadow Robe. He’s stronger than anyone in the Mirmi Court. According to the King’s strength classification, he should be at the Sixth Stage. He has never shown any particular emotions, always performing his duties. Aside from when necessary, we rarely spoke with him; he usually worked in silence.”

A Sixth Stage dream creature?

Moreover, Alka had clearly heard the words he had just spoken: he was willing to temporarily join his court. Clearly, Huan had extended an olive branch.

Usually, dream creatures who were formerly members of the Mirmi Court would accept Huan’s invitation to join Alka’s Royal Court. This was true even though Alka’s strength might not have yet reached the Fifth Stage. For dream creatures, it seemed the king they pledged allegiance to didn’t necessarily have to be powerful. Rather, it was Royal Authority itself that allowed these kings, even if not inherently powerful, to grow strong through the offerings of the countless creatures eager to join their banners.

The mental circuits of dream creatures were evidently different from those of normal life forms. They valued the legitimacy represented by Royal Authority more.

”Honorable new King, I hope my temporary allegiance will be of assistance to you,” Shadow Robe said, bowing slightly before Alka.

Looking at this light-shadow creature, so distinctly different from the mist creatures, Alka couldn’t restrain his curiosity and asked, ”Why did you choose to join my Royal Court?”
