Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

They understood what she meant by chaos; it was just as they had thought. As the Divine’s revival drew near, more and more chaos erupted in this place. Perhaps it was an attempt to stop the revival, or maybe it was simply to stir up trouble. There were too many possibilities. After all, who knew what the revival of a god would mean for the shattered Endless Sea? But one thing was certain: a new great power would emerge. And in the chaotic region of the Giant Wood Habitat, those who thrived in these ungoverned zones certainly wouldn’t welcome a Divine’s authority.

While chatting, Jilenna led them to a place resembling a military camp. Soldiers patrolled outside, while others trained inside without their armor. The soldiers who had accompanied them departed, and the young woman guided the three into a large, dark gray, flower-shaped structure ahead.

”Sit down,” Jilenna offered.

The three sat.

”Who among you is the leader?” she asked.

”The leader’s not here.”

Hearing this, Jilenna nodded. ”Is it the one called Alka?”

The three tensed, silently heightening their alertness. This Female Knight’s question caught them off guard. They never imagined she would know Alka. Has he become that famous already?

”There’s no need for that,” Jilenna said, waving her hand with a smile. ”Perhaps I didn’t know him before, but today his name has spread among us. You’ll find out when you return.”

The three were puzzled but didn’t dare to ask rashly.

”Let’s talk about something else,” Jilenna continued. ”I have a commission, and I hope you can assist. The reward is 3,000 Golden Sails or items of equivalent value. What do you say?”

Jason immediately shook his head. ”I can’t make that decision. Besides, we have other matters to attend to recently and might not have the energy to help you.”

Hearing this, Jilenna raised her hand slightly. ”Don’t be so quick to draw conclusions. Hear me out. I believe you’ll definitely be willing to take this commission.”

Jason couldn’t help but furrow his brows. Is she implying she knows us well? Is this a show of strength?

Despite this, Jason remained silent, and the three waited for Jilenna to continue.

”You saw that monster earlier. These kinds of creatures have only appeared around the Land of All Spirits in the last ten years. The Flower Children who turn into these monsters are all swayed by certain individuals and transformed through evil rituals. They worship malevolent entities.”

Jilenna continued, ”After our long-term investigation, we’ve confirmed their lair is in the Giant Wood Habitat. Over these ten years, while they haven’t caused major damage, they’ve brought us considerable trouble. They’re like flies; no matter how many we kill, we can’t seem to get rid of them all.”

At this point, clear irritation and disgust showed on Jilenna’s face.

Then she added, ”Especially in the past two years, their leader has become a very crafty fly, acting more covertly than before. They never cause large-scale destruction, only continuously disrupt public order. Due to the increased intensity of attacks from the Life and Death Boundary, we’ve had to allocate more troops to the border, which has made it difficult for us to deal with them for the time being.”

By this point, the commission was clear.

”So,” Jilenna said, ”I would like to entrust you with helping us eliminate them.”

”Eliminate an entire Cult Group?” Jason asked, perplexed. Isn’t she overestimating us?

”No, of course not,” Jilenna clarified. ”You need to eliminate the cult squad active in the area around the Land of Fragrance. They’ve been active here for over a year, and recently we haven’t had enough manpower to spare.”

After hearing her commission, Jason furrowed his brows in thought. She’s clearly asking us to play cat and mouse. Catching all the ’mice’ around here would surely waste a lot of time. The problem is, we do have other matters to attend to. Where would we find the energy to take on another commission?

”Sorry—” Jason began.

”No, don’t be in a hurry to refuse,” Jilenna interrupted, smiling at the three of them. ”We have obtained quite accurate information about the leader of this cult squad.”

Hearing this, the three waited silently for her to continue.

”This leader,” Jilenna stated, ”was once a core member of the Nafasi Clan.”

Upon hearing this, the three could no longer contain themselves. They shot to their feet, brows furrowed, already adopting attack stances. They were certain that basically no one here knew their target. So how did this woman in front of them know?

「Meanwhile」

Alka stood in the Bishop’s hall. Led by the young woman in front of him, he had entered the building and made his way to the center. The entire hall was filled with a faint, elegant floral fragrance, but there weren’t many people around.

She led him to the back of the building, where a large garden bloomed, every flower in full display. The garden was obviously meticulously pruned and maintained.

A figure leaning on a Scepter stood with their back to Alka and the young woman.

The young woman stepped forward. ”Great Gardener, Lord Alka has arrived.”

Hearing this, the person turned around. It was an elderly man, at least sixty or seventy years old, with white eyebrows, hair, and a beard. Despite their color, his hair and beard appeared exceptionally smooth. He wore a light blue robe, and beneath it, some sort of armor intricately carved with flowers could be glimpsed.
