Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 533: Chapter 261 Training/Transformation

”Chadite, be careful not to hurt Alka!”

Sitting atop the sterncastle, Er swung her iron fist and loudly reminded him.

”That’s right, don’t hurt Daddy!”

Held from behind by Er, with Er’s chin resting on her head, Xuan echoed.

Because the Puppet Girls always stuck together like this, Er loved being close to Xuan.

At this moment, the sterncastle was packed with various Puppet Girls watching the battle.

”Who will win this fight?”

”I think the Captain will!”

”Nonsense, definitely Lord Chadite!”

”Captain!”

”Chadite!”

Arguments erupted out of nowhere.

Ling, the Vice Captain, dressed in a maid outfit, stood quietly like a lady on the sterncastle. She said gently, ”They’re just training, not fighting. There won’t be a winner or loser.”

”Really?”

”Even if it’s training, the Captain is stronger!”

”You’re talking nonsense again!”

Hearing the clamor behind her, Ling silently rubbed her forehead. The personality differences among the new sisters have been growing more pronounced lately. While it’s a good change, it’s also become slightly troublesome, Ling, the Vice Captain, thought to herself.

A Puppet Girl dressed in brown overalls, with a Compass Eye on her chest, watched the battle on deck through her goggles. On her back, she carried a device resembling a construct. It had four protruding tentacles, each made of segmented metal rings threaded onto a long Energy strip. This device enabled them to perform more intricate tasks and finer craftsmanship.

”Wu Yi, quickly record this! This is all invaluable data.”

A similarly dressed Puppet Girl beside her nodded, rapidly jotting notes with a pen.

Jason, who had already been disturbed by the commotion, leaned out from the crow’s nest to peer down. Watching the two on the deck, he silently shook his head. Exchanging ’affection’ so early in the morning... sigh, he thought.

”BUJI!”

”Exactly. And they don’t even care if they disturb others.”

”BUJI!”

”Well said!”

Nowadays, wherever Jason went, Ulu Liwus would follow him.

Yi, who was sitting by a glass console observing the situation outside, quietly turned his head to look at these two life forms communicating in what seemed like code. He sighed and turned his head away.

The battle on the deck below had ceased.

Chadite, who had been using the Ring of Light to accelerate her attacks, was now sitting on the deck, gasping for breath. Sweat had soaked through her clothes.

Alka was also a bit tired, but having advanced to the Third Stage, his stamina was much better than Chadite’s. So, he simply stood there, took a few deep breaths, and his fatigue subsided. Besides, he had mainly been on the defensive, which consumed more of his mental energy and Magic Power.

He waved his hand. The Mirror Surface receded from his face, and the Mirror in the sky shattered, dissolving into Starlight-like glass shards before vanishing.

A white towel appeared in Alka’s hand. He crouched beside Chadite. Using the towel, he gently wiped the sweat from her forehead.

Alka’s sudden intimate gesture stunned Chadite, and her body stiffened slightly. Yet he acted very naturally. So, Chadite could only endure it, trying not to react, as if she didn’t mind. After all, Alka wasn’t making a big deal of it, so I can’t overreact either. I need to act natural, Chadite told herself. But her slightly averted gaze betrayed her uncalm heart.

”Er, I think you can go over now,” Ling suddenly said from the sterncastle.

Er prepared to rush over and interrupt them. But Xuan pulled her back, holding her in an embrace. ”Whose side are you on?”

”I’m on my own side, of course!” Er declared loudly, clenching her fist. She then received disdainful looks from the other captains.

”I’m definitely on the Captain’s side.”

”Don’t forget who made the clothes you’re wearing.”

”Well... that’s a separate issue! How can you compare these two things?”

Regarding the captains’ bickering, Ling calmly looked on. San and Si, however, merely tilted their heads slightly to look at the sky.

Down on the deck, Alka had finished wiping the sweat from Chadite’s exposed skin with the towel. He also casually wiped the beads of sweat from her silvery hair.

”Miss Chadite, my service wasn’t bad, was it? Is this reward satisfactory?” Alka whispered in Chadite’s ear.

”It... it was alright, I guess,” Chadite managed to say, feeling the heat rise to her face and trying hard to suppress her shyness.

Alka has been getting bolder lately, Chadite thought. Luckily, she had just finished strenuous exercise, so the flush on her face matched the redness of her skin, not giving her away.

But Alka, having spent so much time with Chadite day in and day out, how could he not notice? A pleased smile appeared on his face. He gently leaned his head in from Chadite’s left side.

SNIFF, SNIFF.

The sound of his light sniffing, a warm breath, brushed against Chadite’s collarbone.

Her skin, sensitive after the exercise, made Chadite’s heart pound furiously. She felt as if her heart was about to leap out of her chest. Her ears seemed to block out all external sounds; her mind went blank, filled only with the deafening throb of her own heartbeat.

”Hmm...” Alka said with a smile, his voice teasing. ”You smell nice, but you’re also a little sweaty, you know?”

He didn’t pull his face back; instead, he leaned even closer.

Chadite stared blankly ahead, her mind completely unable to process anything.

Alka could already feel a warmth rising to his own cheeks.
