Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 513: Chapter 254 Call Daddy_2

Watching the island draw nearer, Alka slid down. She arrived at the edge of the deck, looking at the island passing by their side.

Everyone glanced at each other, seeing the shock in each other’s eyes.

”What’s going on? This is Broken Island, right? Look over there, there are still traces of where we stayed,” Simon said, pointing to a spot on the island’s beach.

”This place always manages to shock you just when you think you’re used to it,” Julia muttered.

As a preserver of natural order, she had long since thrown in the towel. Since life hadn’t changed anything in this sea, what could she, as a believer, do? All I can do is quietly watch and get used to this sea,

she resolved. However, she still said, ”This island is indeed Broken Island; our senses weren’t mistaken. It’s just that due to the special changes in the Endless Sea, its movement brought it ahead of us.”

She had sensed even more.

Once they had completely left the island’s range, they saw the island, which seemed to be moving, pick up speed until it disappeared. For a moment, they didn’t know if it was their ship moving fast or if the island itself was truly capable of motion.

”So, you’re saying that by leaving the island at that moment, we would have gotten closer to Southern Cross Island... Is that what you mean?” Jason asked, finally grasping the situation.

Alka nodded. ”That’s right, you’re very smart.”

”Come on, your ’smart’ never means what it says.”

”HAHAHA.” Alka laughed, waved her hand, and walked down to the cabins alone.

The long-awaited sea voyage naturally brought idle sailing time. This is the perfect time to organize the spoils from the island, Alka thought, heading to the Manufacturing Hall.

As soon as she entered the Manufacturing Hall, she noticed something was distinctly wrong. The current Manufacturing Hall was now the size of that entire deck level combined. But when she poked her head out, she could see that was clearly not the case; the hall itself remained in its original position, with no external expansion or any other visible change. The walls of the Manufacturing Hall were also adorned with strange Spell patterns, and spheres floated in the upper corners.

Within Alka’s workspace, the table was piled high with various materials and drafts. She organized them, archiving some technologies. This included spatial expansion technology—Lucilia’s favorite, though she didn’t necessarily understand how it worked. This technology was the reason some spaces on the ship inexplicably expanded. As long as this technology existed, there would always be enough space on the ship.

This was one of the technologies obtained from the excavation; besides it, they also had Space Division technology. This involved segmenting a piece of space and embedding it within an object, such as a Ring. The practical enhancement from this technology was that everyone once again possessed extra-dimensional storage equipment.

But compared to the Pocket Ring, this technology wasn’t as flexible. The Pocket Ring’s space wasn’t created by division; it was an inherent property of its material. Special crafting and design made it extremely easy to move objects in and out. This was indispensable in battle. For instance, retrieving or stowing objects required only a thought and an input of Magic Power. If a weapon was stored inside, it would appear directly in hand when willed. There was no complicated process in between.

But the space created by Magic Power division didn’t work that way. One needed to conceptualize the space and then physically reach into it. The actual usage was quite different from what Alka and the others had initially imagined. It was more like a spatial pocket, only its true size was incredibly vast. It looked more like spatial expansion, but it was actually Space Division, as an ordinary pocket’s material couldn’t withstand true expansion. Even if it could expand, its material wouldn’t allow it to expand too much.

So now, Alka and her companions each wore a small pouch at their waist, within easy reach. These pouches had much larger internal spaces, sufficient for each person to carry personal items and daily supplies. Because their Space Division technology was still immature, the internal space wasn’t square-shaped. Instead, it was circular, and the circles varied in size, leading to differences in storage capacity. The largest spatial pouch was specially made for Pororo; otherwise, he wouldn’t even have been able to fit his hand inside. The Pocket Rings, being more convenient, were now used to store items needed for combat or frequently used items.

These two technologies were probably the most important knowledge and techniques obtained from their treasure hunt on the entire island. Besides these, there were various other pieces of knowledge that, while less spectacular, were still inspiring and offered avenues for technical improvement. This was especially true for Simon. As a Mechanic, he also possessed a Treasure closely tied to his profession. A significant portion of the knowledge excavated from the Vastva city-state related to constructs, which had kept him fascinated for a long time.

After organizing these materials, Alka placed them on a bookshelf beside the Manufacturing Hall, then proceeded to her personal workstation. The materials scattered around indicated that all the Puppet Girls had been manufactured here.

Looking at the half-finished product on the workbench, Alka fell into deep thought.
