Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 487: Chapter 245: The Mystery of the Variant_3

If I put myself in the position of the leadership...

If I knew and wanted to properly protect and hide the most important thing for the entire city-state...

How would I do it?

Considering the current situation I’m already aware of...

To retrieve this Treasure, the approval of the most powerful people, or those with the highest authority among these four city-states, would surely be needed.

No one would want others to take this thing freely, nor would they want others to take it without their consent.

After all, it concerns the survival of the Race.

Considering the Difficulty of that Treasure, ’Four Parts of Power’... it becomes very clear.

It would require the presence of the four Priests with the highest authority to unlock and obtain this Treasure.

What could represent them? Undoubtedly, it would be their most powerful Holy Grail Level Treasures.

The information also clearly states that each one is controlled by a Priest.

I recall when we entered that underground hall—those four statues, each holding something aloft with both hands.

The meaning of ’Four Parts of Power’ must be that one needs to gather these four Treasures to bring out the Scepter Level Treasure, the ’Star of Opening’.

Although this was just speculation, Alka found it very reasonable. However, more information was needed to prove it.

After all, without concrete evidence, the Treasure Information wouldn’t expand.

Moreover, more problems arose.

If this is confirmed, then obtaining this Treasure will be incredibly difficult.

The former city-states were shattered long ago; where we are now is merely a fragment.

And there’s only one Great Temple on it.

In this chaotic sea, trying to gather all of them is simply a pipe dream.

Due to the chaos, the entire sea is constantly shifting. How could it possibly be feasible to find all the Treasures?

Thinking of this, Alka leaned heavily against the back of his chair and couldn’t help but sigh.

The orange light is right in front of me, but my discovery seems to indicate that I can’t obtain this thing at all.

I need to get a grip. It can’t be completely proven yet.

After all, the Treasure Information about the orange light is still incomplete, and I don’t know what the final conditions for obtaining it are.

What if I guessed wrong?

After all, if even I can guess the method of obtaining it, it can’t be that straightforward.

Moreover, this method has many potential dangers.

For a Treasure linked to the core of the entire city and tied to the fate of the entire Race, one can never be too cautious.

With this in mind, Alka stopped worrying.

Since I’ve reached this step, tomorrow’s goal will naturally be set on this golden light.

I’m about to obtain another Treasure.

Looking at the remaining blue and white dots, Alka raised his hand and clicked on them one by one.

Through this museum exploration, a vast amount of information had been revealed to him. These blue dots now included more expanded information, no longer offering just ambiguous explanations for an item as they had before.

As more and more Treasure Information entered Alka’s view, a certain idea in his mind became increasingly firm.

It’s decided.

「...」

When Alka woke from his sleep, the night sky outside was still filled with stars and immense planets. Due to the extended length of the nights, everyone’s sleep schedule had long since become chaotic. Alka had also purposely waited in his dream until everyone else’s ’bubbles’ had dissipated, indicating they were waking up, before he himself woke.

After briefly freshening up, he waited for the DING-DONG sound signaling mealtime.

Arriving in the dining room, everyone had already gathered around the dining table, chatting among themselves.

When they were almost done eating, Alka finally knocked on the table.

Upon hearing the knock, everyone turned their heads towards Alka. Their chatter ceased, and they fell silent.

It seemed Alka had something to say.

”Considering the current situation and what we’ve discovered during our recent exploration, I have a proposal. I’d like to hear your opinions, or whether you agree.”

After pausing for a moment, Alka continued, ”Based on what Balazs said, I’ve decided that we should stay on this Island for an extended period, until all of our strength reaches Nine Spirals. This should be a turning point. At this stage, rapid strength enhancement typically ceases. Many people get stuck here permanently; it’s a common limit. This means that at this stage, we will also possess a certain ability to protect ourselves, without appearing overly weak.

Think about it. After we arrived in the Endless Sea, we came to this Island—our first landing spot. The town on it only had a few thousand people. The issue is, even with just those few thousand people, there were several individuals at the Third Stage. I only knew the mayor was one of them; I hadn’t identified the others. That’s a town of only a few thousand! On Southern Cross Island, the powerful individuals will only be more numerous. If we don’t reach Nine Spirals, we’ll be seen through much more easily. Moreover, if a conflict occurs, we’d be more prone to injury and more likely to fail. This is too dangerous.”

Not to mention the Treasure Information Alka had seen on those blue dots on the map yesterday.

So, he continued, ”And you’ve probably noticed too, countless things are buried beneath this Island. During this time, we can also excavate these ruins and relics. It’s a way to kill two birds with one stone.”

He had an idea. My plan is to clear this entire Island, to extinguish all the highlighted spots except for the Treasures with a danger level equivalent to the Third Stage. And the Treasures indicated in that Treasure Information are worth the effort. These Treasures can definitely enhance everyone’s combat strength and even strengthen the Sound of Dawn. I can also use this time to perfect the Puppet Knight Order. The materials here are good enough and plentiful enough.

After speaking, Alka looked at everyone. He waited for their answer.
