Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 457: Chapter 235: First Harvest_3

A slight touch turned it into fragments, so what could be gained from just observing its shape? It wasn’t as if it were paper used to record information.

Hearing Alka’s words, everyone maintained their curiosity and began to observe their surroundings.

With their touches, various objects began to show signs of damage and destruction.

Everything here had become incredibly fragile over the passage of time.

Alka headed straight to the innermost part, eyeing the object outlined in blue.

He was afraid that his touch might shatter this blue object into pieces.

After all, the surrounding items had already disintegrated with the passage of time.

If this blue object followed suit, it would be quite embarrassing.

Especially since it was something they had worked so hard to obtain.

He walked over and gently touched it with a finger. The object wobbled twice at his touch, but he could also sense its solidity.

This item hadn’t become fragile over time like the objects around it.

Alka immediately picked it up.

It was an object resembling a rhombus crystal, with edges bordered by bronzed metal.

Other than that, the entire object appeared exceedingly plain; even the crystal’s interior wasn’t lustrous, looking rather dull.

”Your thing isn’t broken? What is it?” Jason asked curiously, looking at the rhombus crystal in Alka’s hand. He had broken almost everything he could touch along the way.

All the objects around, including tables, shattered with a touch, yet the thing in Alka’s hand seemed perfectly fine.

”This is the target of our journey, a Magic Item.”

Hearing this, everyone gathered around Alka, curiously eyeing the crystal in his hand.

And in the places they passed, tables and other objects had all turned into fragments; dust from the broken pieces was beginning to fill the space.

”These items... they’ve been corroded by Magic Power to this extent! How long must it have taken for this to happen!” Simon exclaimed, seemingly having discovered why these objects were so fragile.

It was unimaginable for an object to be corroded by Magic Power to such a state; that must have taken an incomprehensibly long period!

Shaking his head, Simon looked at everyone’s expressions, then joined them in examining the only intact object in Alka’s hand.

To think that after such a long time, this object had amazingly remained intact!

It had to be an extremely sophisticated Magic Item, possibly even capable of autonomously drawing Magic Power from its surroundings; otherwise, it couldn’t have survived for so long undamaged.

Ordinary items and Magic Items would naturally react differently over time when placed in an environment with Magic Power.

This completely piqued his curiosity.

”So what is this thing?” Lucilia asked from the side.

Alka looked at her strangely and shook his head, ”Shouldn’t I be asking you?”

After all, Lucilia was the only one who had seen the information recorded on those diagrams, and only she could understand it.

The specifics of this item should have been recorded in that material.

”Oh, right.” Lucilia hit her head in realization. She had just forcibly etched the words from those sheets into her mind.

She began to recall and interpret the words she had just seen.

Seeing Lucilia’s state, Chadite smiled and couldn’t help but quip, ”Your memory and recollection seem disconnected.”

”Hehe, this is my proudest skill. One glance and I remember it,” Lucilia said with a smile. ”This object should be the finished product mentioned in these materials. According to what it says, it seems to be the first successfully created item, called a Magic Gathering Stone, also known as a Magic Gathering Device.

”According to the description, it seems related to the gathering of Magic Power. As for its specific function, the materials I saw didn’t say.”

After all, she had only seen a very small part of it; the rest of the piled-up materials had long since been scattered by the wind.

Alka looked at the crystal in his hand, pondered for a moment, then asked, ”Should I... give it a try?”

”I suggest we use it after we leave,” Julia suggested from the side. ”There’s not much Magic Power left in this space. If we absorb it, it might destabilize the entire space.”

Hearing this, everyone immediately nodded.

It was best to heed Julia’s advice in such matters.

”Lucilia.”

Hearing Alka’s call, Lucilia nodded and was just about to open her mouth to recite the Spell backwards.

Suddenly, she saw something in front of her and leaped towards it.

”Wait, there’s something like a booklet over there that hasn’t disappeared!”

With those words, she grabbed it and held it in her arms.

Only then did she recite in reverse the Spell that had brought them in.

After she recited the unknown language backwards, everyone vanished from their original location.

Some Magic Power was consumed, some was taken out, and the Magic Power within the space decreased significantly.

Only the space itself, with little Magic Power remaining and on the verge of destruction, was left, along with the pervasive dust and scattered fragments within.

Again, they felt the same sense of disorientation, coupled with a feeling of weightlessness.

With a blackout before their eyes, they once again found themselves above the ruins, at the exact spot where they had entered.

However, it was evident that the air and the flow of Magic Power outside were much better than inside that space.

CRACK!

Upon hearing this sound, Julia immediately shouted, ”Retreat quickly! The space we just exited is breaking!”

Hearing this, everyone who had just emerged didn’t doubt her and immediately rolled backward.

The CRACKING sound echoed, and then a fissure-like tear appeared in the air.

Everyone instantly moved away.
