Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 463: Chapter 237 Advancing Together_3

No matter how much one meditates, the speed of improvement cannot exceed one’s physical limits. This also ensures that one cannot damage their body through Meditation. However, maintaining extreme absorption is still a very physically demanding task. But in return, it is very time-saving and extremely efficient. Under normal circumstances, how could extreme absorption be possible? A large portion of Magic Power absorbed normally cannot be utilized by the body.

But this item in his hand perfectly solved this problem. When Alka was absorbing, he wasn’t just mindlessly taking in Magic Power; he first briefly inspected the Magic Power he was absorbing. The absorption efficiency reached an astonishing 80% or more, and during the intermediate stages, it even reached around 85%.

Consider this: in the Homeland Sea, the Magic Power absorption efficiency during Meditation might only be around 10%, sometimes even less. Upon reaching the Forward Course, the efficiency rose to around 30% to 40%, and it continued to improve as they progressed. This was all because the surrounding Magic Power concentration became higher, so the same amount of absorption would yield more Magic Power. After reaching the Endless Sea, the absorption efficiency generally stabilized at 50%. If they were to land on an island, it might increase somewhat, but it would not exceed 60%. This was essentially the limit for absorbing Magic Power through Meditation.

The Magic Gathering Stone nearly doubled the Magic Power Meditation efficiency; moreover, this was merely the absorption efficiency doubling. The amount absorbed would be much greater than before. After all, with a higher Magic Power concentration and faster absorption speed, the quantity absorbed would naturally be larger. Calculated overall, the speed of increasing one’s strength through Meditation, compared to not using the Magic Gathering Stone, was boosted by about 2.5 to 3 times. This was far more than Alka had imagined, and he considered it a fairly precise calculation. Moreover, the Meditation time was directly halved. Less than half an hour was needed each day, though this half-hour would be very physically demanding.

With this in mind, Alka noted down the data. Afterward, he said to the others, ”I’ll adjust it tonight and fashion it into something for individual use. Then, we can take turns meditating each day, which will greatly increase our efficiency.”

Everyone nodded at Alka’s words. This was something that could enhance everyone’s strength. Although not immediately obvious, its benefits would accumulate over time. Over time, their strength would increase much faster than others at the same stage. This would help them establish a foothold in the Endless Sea much faster. After all, being from the Four Seas, their strength gap compared to those who had always lived in the Endless Sea was somewhat significant.

For instance, Bai Shi was only in his twenties, and without the aid of Treasures, his strength was estimated to be at least 7 to 8 Spirals. It went without saying that Simon and Julia, the strongest in their group, were much older than Bai Shi. Yet their strength still couldn’t match his.

”I’ll cook for you all. I haven’t been in the ship’s kitchen for several days. Tonight, I’ll make a feast!” Juanlu announced after he had rested.

”Yay!”

”I want that roasted beef leg from last time.”

”Then I’ll have a grilled fish.”

Everyone eagerly requested their favorite dish. Juanlu smiled and nodded, noting them down.

By now, the warehouse was already filled with the prey they had hunted on the island and some harvested ingredients, so there was no need to worry about the food being insufficient or not fresh.

”Oh, and there’s this,” Lucilia said, as if suddenly remembering something, and a small booklet appeared in her hands. This was the booklet they had obtained earlier in the inner space of the Temple. It was made of some unknown material and, remarkably, had not disintegrated over time like the surrounding objects. Lucilia flipped through the booklet.

”Well? What’s written in it?” Alka asked curiously. He hoped the information recorded in it would reveal more details about the Vaswa City State.

”These are the research notes of that man named Vita,” Lucilia explained. ”It documents some of his research ideas and some extremely jumbled records.”

Upon hearing this, Alka and Simon both stood up at the same time and quickly sat down beside Lucilia.

”Quick, tell us what’s written in there.”

”Is there anything explaining how to make that thing?”

The two began to ask, their questions overlapping.

”Don’t rush! Don’t rush!” Lucilia exclaimed, waving her hand helplessly. Then she jumped onto Chadite’s shoulder and said to the two, ”Don’t rush. Much of the text here is quite difficult to translate. I need to look carefully to figure out how to translate it to perfectly convey the meaning. There are also some parts I don’t seem to recall.”

Hearing this, the two, who had been slightly anxious, calmed down and nodded, remaining seated. After all, the booklet was in their hands; it wasn’t going to run away.

After flipping through it for a while, Lucilia said, ”Alka, wake me in my dream tonight. I need to delve into the knowledge deep within my memories.”

”No problem.”

Soon after, everyone made their way to the bathhouse to clean the grime off themselves. Digging pits all day had left them covered in a thick layer of mud.

After cleaning up, Alka began to adjust the Magic Gathering Stone in his hands. The device wasn’t complex, and with a user manual included, it was well within his ability to operate. At least it isn’t so delicate that I might accidentally break it with random tinkering, Alka thought.

Alka finally finished adjusting it just as it was time for dinner.

”I’ve adjusted this device. It’s best to activate it every two to three hours. Each activation will last for half an hour, during which it will automatically form a circular Magic Gathering Array beneath it, just enough for one person to use.” He added, ”Including Pororo.”

As he finished speaking, a rope flew in, wrapped around the Magic Gathering Stone, and pulled it out.

”I’ll place it in the lookout room. Then, when each of us is on watch duty, we can take half an hour for Meditation.”

Everyone nodded as Alka spoke. This was indeed a good plan. Normally, the lookout room was always manned, and each person’s shift lasted about three hours, which was perfect. Moreover, with Yi helping to keep watch in the lookout room, sparing half an hour would be no problem at all.

After discussing these arrangements, Alka then said, ”Tomorrow, let’s go check out another, more dangerous ruin.”

Only then did everyone begin to eat the delicious food on the table, replenishing their energy. They quietly waited for daylight to arrive.
