Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 476: Chapter 242 Museum

”Alright, everyone, don’t worry about these things. I’ll place this book in the library; anyone who wants to read it can go check it out.”

”We’ve been working hard for so many days; let’s take tomorrow off to rest.”

After all, since arriving in the Endless Sea, they had barely rested. As soon as dawn broke, they were out and about, either gathering intelligence or excavating ruins.

Now, both their intelligence gathering and the yields from the ruins had reached a temporary halt.

They needed to sort through their gains from this period before deciding on their next course of action.

After chatting with everyone for a while, Alka returned to the captain’s cabin.

Having learned so much about Vastva, I naturally need to review the map, he thought. I believe many treasure locations will have new information revealed, and through this expanded information, I can better understand this city-state. This will also help me replan and determine our next objectives.

He entered the captain’s cabin and sat in his usual spot.

Pale light shone from the Lighting Stone as the island map appeared in Alka’s hand.

He spread it on the desk, blinking his eyes.

Vibrant orange light and dazzling golden light flashed out first, exceptionally eye-catching.

The blue light spots and ordinary white spots beside them paled in comparison, like mere adornments.

Alka first tapped on the orange light, wanting to see if what he now knew would expand its treasure information.

After all, it was by a twist of fate that the first temple we visited was where this orange light is located. And it was indeed confirmed that there was nothing there. High-grade treasures like this must be hidden very deeply,

he mused.[Heart of Vastwa]

[Difficulty: Four Parts Strength (Third Stage)]

[Fame: 126,000]

[Treasure Information: City-state Vastva, the Ancient City, worships the Ancient Secret God in four parts; also known as the City of Change.

Parshwa Temple, the core of the city-state.

Here lies the city’s heart, the eternally beating heart. It is the most important thing in the entire city; it is the source of everything.]

Alka frowned slightly as he looked at the information revealed by the orange light.

Compared to the last time he checked, this treasure’s information hadn’t expanded with anything particularly useful, adding only a single sentence: it stated that this treasure was the most important thing in the city, the source of everything.

If this is a Scepter-level treasure, is it really that powerful? His mind couldn’t help but drift to the Realm of Pitch Darkness he had once journeyed through in the Homeland Sea, and suddenly, this level of power felt quite normal. Perhaps Scepter-level treasures truly are this formidable. And what about those of even higher levels? His thoughts began to wander.

After a while, he returned to his senses and tapped on the golden light again.

Hopefully, the golden light will reveal more useful information, he thought.

[Object of Upper Position]

[Difficulty: Hunter (Second Stage)]

[Fame: 0]

[Treasure Information: Enshrined in one of the four Great Temples of Vastva, this item is related to the God of Four Parts, representing one-quarter of its treasure.

Revered by the Vastva people as ’Upper,’ it is one of the four great treasures, and only the master of its Great Temple can use it. The master of the Great Temple is selected from the ranks of the Eye of Secret Technique and the Hand of War.]

The information revealed by this golden light was much more useful.

One-fourth of a treasure... If one is called ’Upper,’ could it be that the other three are named ’Lower,’ ’Left,’ and ’Right’? Does ’four parts’ refer to directions?

Alka could only speculate.

Is the master of this temple of a higher status than the Hand of War and the Eye of Secret Technique? After all, the master has to be chosen from these two roles, and there are four such positions in all of Vastva.

The reason these were considered positions was that Vita, the Great Tutor, had mentioned he might be promoted to Eye of Secret Technique after completing his task. The Eye of Secret Technique referred to civil officials, while the Hand of War clearly denoted military officers.

Alka considered the golden light.

The strength required for the orange light, along with the ’Four Parts Strength’ condition, is clearly beyond our current capabilities. But the golden light’s difficulty is only Second Stage, and its designation is ’Hunter.’ This clearly doesn’t require any special conditions. Both of these are within our acceptable range.

Alka looked at the location of this golden light.

This golden light was located at the very tip of the long, narrow island, in the furthest part of the Third Area.

They had ventured there before; it hosted the largest concentration of monster territories, with bloody conflicts erupting almost constantly.

The ’Hunter’ difficulty, combined with this location, evidently meant the danger wouldn’t stem from the temple itself but from the monsters in the surrounding area.

So, the question is, should we go for this treasure?

After thinking for a while, Alka temporarily shelved the question and looked at the other blue and white dots.

I need to see if these blue and white dots can provide any useful information, he thought. Besides, all our efforts recently have been aimed at that orange light. I can’t give up on it, even if my current strength is insufficient. But I also have to get the treasure information for the orange light to completion, to figure out what ’Four Parts Strength’ really is, and where this treasure is hidden. Only then can I find a clear path to work towards meeting the conditions.

As Alka clicked on these blue and white dots, he indeed found that their treasure information expanded.
