Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 455: Chapter 235: The 1st Harvest

”The ruins of this temple... are still 20 meters deep.”

Chadite’s voice was filled with confusion. She had completely scanned this section of ruins, which seemed to be a temple building with a rather large footprint. Moreover, the building had almost completely collapsed, but the manner of its collapse was somewhat peculiar. It was as if someone had struck it in the middle, breaking it into three sections that fell into a pile.

This meant the pile of ruins stacked together was a full 20 meters high. Additionally, the uppermost spire, which was relatively well-preserved, remained upright.

The entire height of the ruins might be around 35 to 40 meters.

Excluding the well-preserved spire, the ruins alone were over 20 meters high, which was already quite tall. If this had been an intact structure, the Temple’s height would have been at least 100 meters.

Estimating based on such a height, among the buildings they had previously constructed, the only one that could compare was the Holy Mother statue at the center of the Great Cathedral.

That statue was much taller.

But one was a statue, and the other a Temple building; they were clearly different.

Not to mention, who knew how many years old these ruins were.

”Twenty meters high?” Alka deliberated for a moment, then asked, ”The ruins after the collapse?”

”Yes.”

Calculated this way, the building’s original height was indeed outrageous.

And, judging from the Treasure Information, this building certainly couldn’t have been the tallest in the entire city-state. This was because these Temple ruins evidently served as a research facility, much like a research institute, and were just one among many such Temple ruins dedicated to research.

The height of the buildings also indirectly reflected the level of development this civilization had once achieved. Especially in this island-dotted world.

Wait.

Alka suddenly thought of something; he realized he had hit a dead end.

Who said these ruins must belong to a civilization that came after the Divine War?

Upon realizing this, many things suddenly became clear.

”No worries, don’t get hung up on it. Let’s see what Lucilia can analyze.”

”Scan more; we might need to dig a little deeper later.”

Chadite nodded, focusing on her work.

Although a large portion of the ruins was exposed, there was evidently not much clear or useful information.

After Lucilia carefully examined everything, she said, ”Sapphire Temple. That was the former name of these ruins. However, there’s a numeric marker ’3’ and ’2’ after it; I’m not sure what it means.”

”There’s also a name, Vita, who was called the Great Tutor.”

”We haven’t learned much. Dig a little more, and let me see if there’s more information.”

Upon hearing Lucilia’s words, Chadite immediately began to mark additional digging points and outlines further down. This time, extra caution was needed to avoid causing more damage to this ancient ruin.

The digging speed remained swift. The group had some experience by now and caused no damage.

Although the building had collapsed, it hadn’t completely turned into a pile of debris. Due to the three-segment collapse and stacking, the main structure of each segment remained relatively intact.

Once the uppermost segment was fully excavated, they entered through a broken hole.

However, it was evident that even though it hadn’t been crushed by the collapsed debris, the interior was still empty. Countless things had already vanished with time.

Only some patterns and text on the surrounding walls still recorded information. Although they were still blurry, they were much clearer than what was outside.

Alka and the others did not enter, allowing the physically smaller Puppet Girl to go inside to prevent more damage.

”This place seems to have once been used for some kind of research—research into gathering Magic Power, or something like that. That person named Vita appears to have been the one in charge of this project.”

This time, Lucilia evidently gathered more information.

After hearing this, Alka felt they had gathered enough information. He directly took out the map and began to examine it.

[Treasure Information: The Vastva 3-6 Project. Research was conducted using Great Tutor Vita’s Sapphire Temple as the research institute.

The research topic was how to stably and efficiently gather Magic Power and filter it into High Magic Factors more suitable for absorption.

Use a secret phrase to enter the Temple’s Superimposed Space; the completed first-edition product is stored inside.]

Indeed, with the two pieces of information Lucilia had gathered, the Treasure Information was now basically complete. They knew what the treasure was, its origin, and where it was stored.

Next was the most crucial part: the method to obtain the treasure. This was also the most difficult piece of information to supplement in the expanded details. But in some circumstances, it was also the least important because the map markings could skip this process.

For over half of the treasures Alka and his group had acquired, they didn’t know the complete process for obtaining them. Because for most treasures, once the hiding location was known, they were easy to obtain.

As for the specific details of a treasure, they weren’t always crucial. Unless the treasure itself was deliberately hidden. In such cases, even knowing the exact location made it very difficult to enter and retrieve it.

For example, the classic Twelve Treasures.

In reality, however, under normal circumstances, most treasures were relics left behind by their original owners due to unforeseen events.

Superimposed Space...

Muttering to himself, Alka couldn’t help but think of how they had arrived on this Island and the Temple ruins that had mysteriously activated.
