Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Since Arya was so direct, Fang Zheng’s response was naturally straightforward as well.

”I refuse.”

The thing I, Fang Zheng, enjoy the most is saying NO to those who are full of themselves!

”Why?!”

Faced with Fang Zheng’s blunt reply, Arya was dumbfounded.

”I’m a researcher, not a detective, and I’m not interested in playing detective games. Also, when asking for someone’s help, you should at least show some semblance of a request.”

Fang Zheng shrugged his shoulders and then bowed his head. Although Arya’s voice sounded similar to a few people Fang Zheng had encountered before, her personality was relatively worse.

Shana might be a bit tsundere, but when it comes to following instructions, she’s willing to back down.

Minase Iori is also a young lady, but as an idol, she works in the service industry. If she can’t even smile, she’d have been sent back home long ago.

Louise is somewhat arrogant, but considering her past, it’s understandable, and she doesn’t behave rudely to others all the time either.

But this Arya right in front of me is truly... too impolite.

Is that the tone you take when you’re asking for help?

”You...”

”What do you mean ’you’? Can’t even talk properly yet you expect others to help you? Don’t dream. I’m not interested in you, and I’m equally disinterested in playing detective games.”

Fang Zheng waved his hand, directly interrupting the fuming Arya.

”Shirai, take this person away, I’m busy here.”

”Understood.”

Kuroko Shirai nodded helplessly. There wasn’t much she could say. To be honest, even she felt annoyed by Arya’s attitude earlier. While Kuroko may act like a simple pervert in front of Misaka Mikoto, she’s quite polite in front of others. After all, Tokiwadai is full of young ladies, and someone who doesn’t even understand basic manners couldn’t possibly blend in.

However, looking at Arya, Kuroko Shirai felt she was just too rude. When someone gives you advice, the least you can do is thank them. But all she could say was ”you, you, you.” Not to mention, how old are you? Is that any way to speak to an adult? At the very least, show them a little respect by using Mr. or Ms.

This attitude of complete disregard is bound to anger people.

”Hmph!”

Hearing this, Arya’s face flushed with embarrassment, and she stomped her foot angrily before turning to leave. Kuroko hurriedly bid Fang Zheng goodbye and then chased after Arya.

”Honestly, how can someone like that be an A-rank martial investigator?”

After Arya left, Fang Zheng shrugged his shoulders and looked at Frenda and Riko, who were behaving well. Riko gave a slight smile.

”That’s why she’s considered a defective product.”

”A defective product?”

”Exactly. Mr. Fang Zheng, you know the story of Sherlock Holmes, right? So, you should know that Holmes isn’t just one person, correct?”

”Are you referring to Watson?”

”Exactly.”

Riko chuckled, snapped her fingers.

”The Holmes family has always had such a ’partner’, but Arya doesn’t, so she’s always been seen as a defect within the family. Honestly, I was really surprised that she wanted you, Mr. Fang Zheng, as her partner. I thought you might agree to it.”

”I’m not interested in self-centered brats like her.”

Fang Zheng snorted lightly. Although Arya’s past might be sympathetic, so what? Louise has it much worse than Arya. At least Arya is an A-rank martial investigator, while Louise was always a zero. Even so, Louise hasn’t twisted and deformed to this extent.

”Really?”

But to Fang Zheng’s surprise, Riko came over with a mischievous grin, leaning against him.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, why don’t you train her properly? It would be nice to train a disobedient puppy into a loyal hunting dog.”

”Have you been playing some unspeakable games again recently?”

Fang Zheng glanced at Riko, knowing she loves to play those beautiful girl games, particularly adult ones...

”Is it not good? Although Arya doesn’t have anything to show for her chest or butt, she still looks passable.”

”Not interested.”

Fang Zheng shook his head. If it were someone like Shana, he might be interested in educating her, but as for someone like Arya, he had absolutely no interest. Particularly after their conversation, Fang Zheng decided that once Arya left Academy City, he’d find an opportunity to remove the 312 material from her body and be done with it. He wasn’t interested in anything else.

”Then who are you interested in, Mr. Fang Zheng? Frenda?”

”Wait, what does this have to do with me?”

Hearing her name, Frenda suddenly jumped up.

”Riko, are you trying to sell me out?!”

”Is that so bad? You like Mr. Fang Zheng, don’t you?”

”I do like him, but... how should I put it... in conclusion... that...”

Just then, Fang Zheng looked up, critically observing Frenda and nodding.

”Hmm, Frenda is indeed quite cute, much cuter than that little girl just now.”

”Eh? Ehhhh!!”

Hearing this, Frenda’s face instantly turned beet red, while Fang Zheng chuckled, got up and walked over to Frenda, then pressed his hand against the wall behind her, slowly leaning in.

”Mr. Fang Zheng...?!”

”So, cute lady, would you like to spend a wonderful evening with me?”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng reached out and gently lifted Frenda’s chin. By now, Frenda was completely dizzy. Seeing this scene, Riko pouted.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, what kind of outdated lines are those? They went out of style long ago.”

”Then what do you suggest I say?”

”Hehehe, cute little sister, don’t scream, no one will come to save you. Let’s have fun together...”

”Ah———!”

Upon hearing this, Frenda let out a scream and quickly dashed out the door, at which point Fang Zheng straightened up and silently stared at Riko.

”When you go back, delete all those games on your hard drive!”

”Eh? But those were bought for me by Mel!”

”..........”

Alright, found the prime culprit!

The day’s work came to an end.

Fang Zheng had already learned from Kuroko Shirai that Arya had left Academy City, which meant he could now make a move against her. In fact, Fang Zheng had already instructed Riko to prepare for the next action, and he would personally take part, aiming to resolve the matter as quickly as possible.

It’s just that he wasn’t sure how much of the 312 material there actually was... When he previously visited that short-haired girl named Reiji, he unfortunately found that Reiji herself didn’t possess the 312 material; she had just come into contact with it before, thus carrying the aura of the Goddess’s Power.

This made locating it really troublesome. After all, Ratziel couldn’t investigate Goddess’s Power-related matters... Hmm, perhaps Riko’s suggestion of a bit of confinement and interrogation should really be considered?

It feels somewhat odd......

Fang Zheng thought to himself as he bought a drink from the vending machine. However, as he opened the bottle and prepared to drink, suddenly, a Discipline Committee Member approached him.

”Excuse me for disturbing, sir, is this bag yours?”

”Bag?”

Fang Zheng glanced at the bag in the hands of the Discipline Committee Member. It was an ordinary black leather bag, seemingly nothing special about it.

”Yes, this bag was just placed near the supermarket shelves, probably lost by a customer... is this your bag? Or do you know whose bag it is?”

”Hmm... it’s not mine, and I didn’t notice it either.”

”Is that so? Sorry for bothering you.”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s response, the Discipline Committee Member bowed before going off to ask other customers. Yet, at that moment, Fang Zheng suddenly felt an eerie sensation.

He could feel the space within the bag starting to distort, transforming, accelerating rapidly!

”Hey.”

Fang Zheng turned and hastily called out to the Discipline Committee Member. Just then, a voice sounded from not far away.

”Quick, move away from that bag, it’s a bomb!”

”Huh?”

The sudden warning startled the Discipline Committee Member, who instinctively hurriedly tossed the bag aside. However, his actions wouldn’t change the unfolding events. Soon, Fang Zheng saw the bag being compressed as if being absorbed by something and shapeshifting. Meanwhile, a figure appeared in front of the Discipline Committee Member, raising her hand as if intending to block what was about to happen.

Yet, at that instant, Fang Zheng pressed down on the person’s shoulder.

”Enough, I’ll handle this.”

With these words, Fang Zheng extended his hand.

In the next moment, the bag on the verge of exploding abruptly paused. Following this, the entire process reversed its distortion, and Fang Zheng stared at the bag with a cold snort.

At the same time, the bag, which was about to explode, quickly reverted to its original state and dropped to the ground.

”All done.”

Watching the bag return to normal, Fang Zheng clapped his hands and looked aside. There, he saw a girl who appeared to be around Misaka Mikoto’s age, with amber-colored long hair and eyes of gold-green and purple hues. She was quite an attractive young woman, yet...

Is there such a person in Academy City?

Judging by looks, the girl seemed like she belonged to the main character tier, but as Fang Zheng recalled the animations ’Forbidden Magic’ and ’Ultra Electric,’ it seemed they didn’t feature such a person?

While Fang Zheng contemplated this, the girl also stared at him, eyes wide with amazement. She certainly understood what that scene signified, but for this reason, she was utterly shocked. Because it completely defied the norms of this world, transcending dimensional changes!

”Classmate Hainara!”

Just then, another familiar voice rang out, and Fang Zheng turned his head to see Kuroko Shirai appear out of thin air, looking at the girl.

”Are you alright!”

”I’m fine.”

The girl shook her head, looking at Fang Zheng.

”It was this gentleman who prevented the explosion...”

”Mr. Fang Zheng?”

At this point, Kuroko Shirai noticed Fang Zheng too, momentarily stunned.

”What are you doing here?”

”Buying a drink to enjoy.”

Fang Zheng shook the bottle in his hand, then looked at the bag.

”So, is this the void explosion incident you’ve been investigating recently?”

”Yes... thankfully you were here... no explosion?”

”I reversed the process; now you should search the vicinity and locate the culprit.”

”Understood, any characteristics of the suspect?”

”The one who’s passed out, of course, given that I forcibly halted his ability deployment, he should be unconscious due to ability backlash now.”

”Haha...”

Upon Fang Zheng’s indifferent answer, Kuroko Shirai also sighed helplessly.

”I truly wish Mr. Fang Zheng you’d go easy.”

”Go easy on someone attempting a terrorist attack in public?”

”I’ll head out immediately.”

At this point, Kuroko Shirai stopped arguing with Fang Zheng on such matters, quickly calling a couple more Discipline Committee Members, and hastily departed the supermarket. Since the perpetrator activated abilities nearby, he should be relatively easy to track down.

Watching Kuroko Shirai leave the supermarket, Fang Zheng sipped his drink, as the girl respectfully bowed toward him.

”Thank you very much for your assistance, sir.”

”No need, it was merely a casual effort... hmm?”

Glancing at the girl before him, Fang Zheng’s eyes narrowed slightly.

By appearances, the girl was merely a very pretty young lady, yet Fang Zheng could perceive within this body a completely distinct soul and the Radiance connecting from it—a Radiance he had seen in only one other person.

That was Sajou Aika.

Speaking of which, in the Type Moon World, the Ryougi Family had attempted to create a connection to the Origin through the absolute unity of yin and yang, male and female—never anticipated to see the theoretical result in this world, quite surprising indeed.

This truly is interesting.

Just then, Kuroko Shirai returned.

”He’s been found, fortunately, he only fainted due to ability backlash...”

”Are you sure it’s the culprit?”

”Confirmed.”

Faced with Fang Zheng’s inquiry, Kuroko Shirai nodded.

”We found aluminum spoons and cans, along with an excavated doll in his bag. Caught red-handed, he won’t escape this time!”

At this point, Kuroko Shirai glanced at the girl.

”But Classmate Hainara, you coming out like this truly gave me a fright.”

”You know each other?”

Upon overhearing Kuroko Shirai’s dialogue with the girl, Fang Zheng curiously asked, and Kuroko Shirai nodded, followed by a cough and introduction.

”Let me introduce, this is Miss Hainara Kuon, a classmate of mine and Sister Dear’s.”
