Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

In the following days, nothing changed.

Riko continued to track the guy named ”Armed Detective Killer.” According to Riko, she wants to catch the Armed Detective Killer herself and ”deliver” him to Arya, allowing the Sherlock Holmes clan to enjoy some ”charity” from the Lupin clan. By that time, Arya will be as twisted as a pretzel, and she herself will be thrilled!

Fang Zheng naturally didn’t get involved in this personal vendetta.

He continued attending classes and conducting research daily at Academy City, occasionally going out for a walk, of course.

Just like now...

”Phew... it’s been rare to have some leisure lately.”

Fang Zheng stretched lazily, yawned, and walked down the street. Everyone was busy with their own affairs, and Fang Zheng wasn’t in a hurry to find that mysterious 312 metal yet, since he already had a target. However, approaching the target might be quite challenging this time.

After all, strictly speaking, Riko and Arya were considered enemies, and Fang Zheng was on Riko’s side... Um... well, it’s not a big problem.

But in Fang Zheng’s view, the best way is to steal directly. This time, the coordinate data is embedded within the metal material, unlike the previous cumbersome case. As long as he steals it, then scans it on a personal terminal for analysis, it’s no big deal to return it afterward.

”......la la la......”

Just as Fang Zheng was pondering while walking, suddenly a burst of singing entered his ears. Curious about the song, Fang Zheng turned his head and looked towards the source of the sound.

He saw a girl with a hat and pink hair on the other side of the overpass, singing and playing as if she was a bard performing for money. Some people gathered around her, evidently attracted by her singing.

She’s singing quite well.

Intrigued by the song, Fang Zheng walked over. Having worked as a manager in the World of Love for a period, he had some ability to judge songs. In his opinion, although the girl hadn’t received formal training, her singing was quite good. With some packaging, she could undoubtedly become a popular idol.

However, it’s indeed rare to see someone singing for money in Academy City.

”Hey hey hey, make way, make way!”

Just as the girl finished her song, a rough shout suddenly sounded. Several guys dressed like delinquents swaggered over, causing the original crowd listening to the song to leave quickly. Soon, those delinquents surrounded the girl.

”Who gave you permission to sing here, huh?”

”Don’t you know this is our turf?”

Facing the delinquents’ intimidation, the girl was clearly somewhat frightened, but she still mustered the courage to respond.

”This is everyone’s place, not your turf.”

”What did you say?”

Hearing that, one dyed blond with earrings reached out and grabbed the girl’s hand.

”Come with me, I’ll give you a proper lesson...”

However, before the delinquent finished speaking, Fang Zheng walked over and gently patted his shoulder.

”Who the hell are you!”

The delinquent turned his head and angrily shouted at Fang Zheng, but before he could finish his words, Fang Zheng’s fist directly connected with his face. Accompanied by a wail, the unfortunate delinquent flew backward, landing heavily on the ground.

”You bastard!”

Seeing Fang Zheng hit their companion, the other delinquents quickly let go of the girl and surrounded him.

”I see you’re looking for trouble!”

”Being a delinquent in Academy City, don’t you know you’re missing a few brain cells?”

Fang Zheng helplessly reached out to press his forehead and sighed. This is Academy City, for crying out loud. Many times, Fang Zheng felt these delinquents were really brainless. Especially those who dared to harass Misaka Mikoto, indeed, you say Railgun isn’t an idol, it’s normal for people to know the name but not the face, but Misaka Mikoto wears the Tokiwadai school uniform!

Tokiwadai is a private nobility school, only allowing LV3 and above ability users to enroll. If they’re bullying LV1 and LV2 ability users, it’s understandable, but they dare mess with LV3 and above ability users?

Are they idiots?

Although according to Fang Zheng’s research, ability itself is related to genetic structure, but even if this group became ability users, they wouldn’t be able to elevate their rank...

After all, a brain is a good thing, pity they don’t have one.

”You bastard!!”

Now, several other delinquents also brandished daggers and iron bars as weapons, shouting and rushing forward. Seeing the scene, Fang Zheng sighed helplessly.

”Oh...”

Bang bang bang bang.

Hmm hmm ha hey, I use nunchucks hmm hmm ha hey, with a horse stance forward a left hook and a right hook, a line to those provoking me are in danger, repeated over, a cigarette I don’t smoke, and a big release...

”What a bunch of trash.”

Observing the delinquents sprawled all over, groaning, Fang Zheng patted his hands and pursed his lips. Really a bunch of trash, he just got into the groove, and they laid down themselves.

Stopping halfway through the song doesn’t feel good.

Fang Zheng shook his head, turned to leave, but at this moment, the pink-haired girl suddenly walked toward him.

”Ah, sir, please wait a... wow!”

However, before the girl finished speaking, her right foot accidentally caught on the cables below. She shrieked and fell forward, with Fang Zheng reacting promptly, reaching out, and the girl ended up diving into Fang Zheng’s arms, tightly clinging to him.

Hmm, nice figure.

Feeling the sensation from his body, Fang Zheng raised his eyebrow slightly. At that moment, the girl came to her senses, hastily blushing as she stepped away from Fang Zheng’s embrace, bowing her head in respect.

”Th-thank you for your help, sir.”

”You’re welcome, you sing quite well.”

Fang Zheng waved his hand.

”Have you considered becoming an idol? With your talent, some training could surely make you a big hit.”

It’s a shame this world doesn’t have 765, otherwise Fang Zheng would have directly roped her in.

”I’m working hard on it, but in Academy City... it’s still quite challenging.”

”True.”

Hearing the girl speak, Fang Zheng nodded. The core of Academy City is ability development, entertainment is something that’s directly imported from outside, no need for self-production, after all, Academy City doesn’t rely on singing and dancing to get by.

”My name is Elisa Minori.”

The girl extended her hand graciously, and Fang Zheng also shook her hand.

”My name is Fang Zheng, I’m the director of the Quantum Neural Research Institute.”

”Director?”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s introduction, Elisa Minori seemed quite surprised, looking up and down at Fang Zheng with curiosity, then shaking her head.

”I really couldn’t tell, Mr. Fang Zheng, that you’re a director...”

”Is it because I’m too handsome?”

”Haha...”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s response, Elisa Minori couldn’t help but cover her mouth and laugh lightly. However, at this moment, a voice suddenly rang out.

”I’m a Discipline Committee Member, immediately... why is it you again?”

Fang Zheng turned his head, only to see Kuroko Shirai, wearing a Discipline Committee armband, with an embarrassed look on her face.

”I wanted to say, why do you always come so late?”

”What can I do, it’s you who’s too quick!”

Looking at the thugs lying scattered on the ground, Kuroko Shirai sighed helplessly.

”Although I already know what happened, you still need to come back to the branch and write a record... can’t you go a bit easier?”

”It’s not my fault, they can’t take a hit.”

”...”

Faced with Fang Zheng’s words, Kuroko Shirai didn’t want to say anything.

Returning to Discipline Committee Branch 117 in the Seventh School District, Fang Zheng efficiently completed the record, and of course, Elisa Minori followed along as the victim, needing to be questioned as well.

”Although I admit helping a girl harassed by thugs is a good deed, please mind your manners, Mr. Fang Zheng.”

”Compared to Misaka Mikoto, I’ve been very mindful, okay.”

Fang Zheng remembers every time Misaka Mikoto encounters thugs, she directly electrocutes them half-paralyzed. In comparison, he only gives them superficial injuries, which look severe but are actually less dangerous than electrocution.

”Uh...”

Hearing this, Kuroko Shirai was speechless. She quickly closed the record and shook her head.

”Alright, that’s it, we’ll report to the guards.”

”Thank you, you’re such a good kid.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng reached out to pat Kuroko Shirai’s head, causing her face to turn red, and she immediately protested loudly.

”Why are you casually patting a lady’s head? It’s rude behavior!”

”Okay, okay.”

Facing Kuroko Shirai’s protest, Fang Zheng chuckled and released his hand. Just as he and Elisa Minori stood up to leave, suddenly someone pushed open the door of the Discipline Committee Branch and walked in.

”Who are you?”

Seeing this uninvited guest, Kuroko Shirai frowned displeasedly, while the other person extended her hand, showcasing her credentials like a police officer.

”I’m Arya Kanzaki from the Armed Detective Bureau, I’m investigating a case and hope you can cooperate.”

Arya?

Looking at the pink-haired twin-tail girl before him, Fang Zheng was taken aback and a bit surprised.

How did she find her way here?
