From Arsenal to the Ball God

”Ashley Young breaks into the penalty area! With Valencia suspended due to a red card, the attacking responsibility falls on his shoulders!

”A feint, a change of direction! Hutton brings him down! The referee awards a penalty!

”Rooney.....! Tricks the goalkeeper! Rooney scores his 24th goal of the season!”

”.....”

”The first half ends, the score is one to nil! Team captain Rooney puts his team in the lead!”

”.....”

”Here is Evans! He wants to pass to Nani! Nani wants to go solo! He’s a rather selfish player!

”A feint! Oh....! Oh, oh, oh.....! Nani weaves past defenders with brilliant dribbling and scores a goal! Two to nil!

”No problem now! With over twenty minutes left, Manchester United deploying a six-defender formation should undoubtedly clinch the victory!”

”...”

”Beep! Beep! Beep—!”

Three long whistles blow, and Ferguson, holding a water bottle, walks casually towards the sidelines, shakes hands with the opposing coach, and heads towards the player tunnel.

At the entrance, he spots a photographer who’s been shooting him all along.

”Heh heh...!”

He glances at the photographer, aims his water bottle at the camera, and sprays water in a prank, ”Haha.....!”

”Standings 1: Arsenal 33 games, 27 wins, 6 draws, 87 points. Standings 2: Manchester City 33 games, 26 wins, 4 draws, 3 losses, 82 points. Standings 3: Manchester United 33 games, 25 wins, 6 draws, 2 losses, 81 points.” — Premier League Standings

On a day when everyone’s attention is focused on Ma’el, the victories of Manchester’s Twin Heroes didn’t cause much of a ripple, as people seemed to think it was to be expected.

However, realizing the Premier League has reached 33 rounds, the tension in everyone’s heart is growing.

The champion will soon be decided... could it be this month?

...

On April 17, at Stoke City’s Britannia Stadium, Arsenal faces its 34th league match.

Stoke City lost 0-1 to Manchester City last round, now they rank fifth from the bottom, just 3 points clear of the relegation zone.

Their fighting spirit is undeniable, but it’s uncertain if it can bridge the gap between them and Arsenal.

”Boom!!”

In the 31st minute of the first half, Arteta makes the first strike in the penalty area, testing Stoke City goalkeeper Begovic with a long-range powerful shot.

”Graze!” Begovic’s fingertips touch the football but can’t change its course, and the ball still flies into the goal, ”Whoosh!”

One to nil!

Arsenal takes the lead away from home!

”Aha...!”

Arteta makes a gesture of flying with outstretched arms and runs towards the Arsenal fan section behind the goal.

In front of the advertising board, he raises his right hand, smiling and pointing to a spot in the stands where his new girlfriend from London is at.

After turning back, he sees Van Persie and Ma’el approaching, looking at him and waiting for something.

Arteta smiles, clenches his fists, and joins the two, ”Vamos...!!”

”Haha...!” The three hug and clap each other, taking an early lead away from home, easing much pressure from the game.

This was the only goal in the first half, and as the second half starts, Walcott’s cross from the right side of the area creates danger in front of goal.

Stoke City defender Huth originally had the chance to get the ball first, but unfortunately, he underestimated it, wanting to turn and clear the ball without giving away a corner.

”Clap!”

Ma’el speeds up quickly and intercepts the ball at the goal line, sweeping it across the box.

”Boom!” Van Persie easily taps in the cross, poking the ball into the net.

Two to nil!

Extending the lead!

”Come on...!” Van Persie initially wanted to run to the fan section but thought better of it and ran back towards Ma’el, who assisted him.

This is his 30th goal, which is very significant for him!

He also equals Henry’s goal record within the team, second only to Ma’el, and also ranks in the top five in the Premier League’s single-season scoring list!

”Oh yeah...!”

Van Persie extends his right hand, runs to Ma’el’s side, and claps hands with him.

He understands that without the approximately 10 assists from Ma’el on the left this season, he wouldn’t have reached this achievement so early.

”Clap!”

Under the despairing eyes of Stoke City fans, the two clap hands and then embrace in celebration for a long time.

minutes later, Ma’el receives the ball in the middle and, taking advantage of the opponent’s unorganized defense, launches a breakthrough.

”Clap... scrape.. bang!!”

He first feints past the opposing midfielder White, then does a small flick to evade Huth’s extended leg, and finally, with a fake shot, bypasses the extremely nervous Shawcross.

Beats three men!

”Boom!!”

His right foot strikes the center of the football, delivering a low shot that hits into the near corner.

Three to nil!

Goal number 37!

Another breakthrough!

”Yeah...!”

Ma’el runs to the touchline, kneeling down to glide in front of the opposing fan section, and after standing up, gracefully taps the corner flag.

He turns his head to see Van Persie and Rosicky running over, pointing both hands at them, laughing loudly: ”Victory is in sight! 40 goals in sight! The championship is definitely ours!”

After breaking records, his mindset seems different..... there’s no such thing as pressure building as time goes on, he only feels beating anyone is easy, only feels springtime is glorious!

28th victory!

Points break 90!

”Snap snap!” A journalist on the sidelines captures this moment, which becomes the front-page cover headline concerning this match in the post-game reports.

”Three to nil! Arsenal blooms on multiple fronts, easily defeating Stoke City! Ma’el elevates the record to 37 goals!” — The Guardian
