From Arsenal to the Ball God

On March 20th, Ma’el finished the first phase of filming for the Pepsi commercial endorsement and also successfully signed a formal contract with the company.

Including the prior deal with Pepe, he has now received endorsement fees from two brands.

After returning home, he posted his third ad on Twitter and received another commission.

This money-making speed is really intoxicating... but he didn’t enjoy it for long and quickly used this momentum to train with Davis on physical power and speed.

”Huff...! Huff...!”

The heavy breathing echoed in the villa’s gym. Ma’el maintained a good breathing rhythm, exhaling forcefully with every effort.

”Good! Good! Another set! Keep going, maintain proper form!”

”Beautiful!”

”As long as you keep this rate of progress, it won’t be long before an even scarier monster lands in the Premier League!”

”Haha...!”

Davis kept clapping and encouraging on the sideline; the team always provided Ma’el with strong emotional value and feedback during training, which was part of their job.

Without these voices, the monotonous training would be hard for anyone to endure.

Without external help, it’s difficult for people to overcome their lazy instincts, especially when you feel very free... that’s also why personal trainers are hired for supervision.

After a while, Davis glanced at his watch and shouted outside, ”Safina! Safina! Start preparing the food, today’s high-intensity and high-volume, make a bit more.”

While training, the body’s functions do not improve; on the contrary, they rapidly decline.

Only by quickly replenishing energy and getting good rest after training, the body’s functions will slowly recover and continue to grow, rising to a level higher than before the training.

Ma’el’s training is not for weight loss but for enhancement, so at this time, post-training nutrition supplements are extremely important.

”Heard you!” Safina’s voice came from outside the door, followed by the sound of her footsteps heading to the kitchen.

Davis then called Harry on the second floor, and after connecting, reminded him, ”Harry, check the working status of the cryotherapy chamber and hyperbaric oxygen chamber, the player will be up in half an hour.”

”Overover...!” Harry pretended to hold a walkie-talkie, responding with a laugh.

Davis laughed, and even Ma’el, who was practicing leg strength, slipped a bit and regained his state.

”You guys,” Ma’el shook his head with a smile, ”Every day is like being an agent, confirming everything once over. Clearly, it’s just a normal life, but it makes me feel quite motivated.”

”Hahaha.”

Davis laughed out loud, then explained with a clenched fist, ”Passion! We have to maintain passion, only then can you stay optimistic and enthusiastic about training.”

”Okay, okay, okay.” Ma’el said ’okay’ three times, then picked up the dumbbells again and started doing squats.

After completing the training, he went to the living room to eat and drank a cup of Mate Tea while watching a match.

”With such high training intensity now, I suggest you add an hour and a half nap every day.”

Davis, sitting nearby and having a few bites himself, suggested with a smile after eating, ”Or try sleeping when Harry and Safina give you a therapy massage, it will aid recovery.”

”Master of time management?” Ma’el smiled, nodded after thinking for a moment, ”I’ll try, sleeping more does make me feel a bit better.”

”I don’t know about anything else, but after three high-intensity training sessions a week, I can definitely fall asleep.”

”What if it feels itchy or painful?” Davis seemed in a good mood today, chatting cheerfully, ”And the high chance is you’ll have to sleep on your stomach.”

”Sleeping on my stomach is fine.”

Ma’el gestured with his right hand, drawing the shape of a human brain, ”As long as there’s a spot on the therapy bed for my head, I should sleep quite comfortably.”

”As for itch and pain, I’ve long gotten used to it, it doesn’t affect me.”

Davis raised his eyebrows high, like he’d discovered a new land, ”You had a Thai massage outside? Didn’t see that, got plenty of experience there.”

”Haha...”

Ma’el laughed twice without saying anything, he couldn’t answer he’d never had one in his life.

After eating, he went to the therapy room on the second floor, spent a few minutes in the cryotherapy chamber, and then moved to the hyperbaric oxygen chamber for body recovery.

The equipment in his home was getting more complete, somewhat like a small club.

”How about buying this house at the end of the season?” Ma’el had a thought, after thinking carefully, he’s been here nearly a year, already treating it as home.

Other than his old home in French Aix, this is the only place where he can physically and mentally rely on, or perhaps, even without counting the old home.

Getting it sooner would surely make him feel more secure, and better adapt to life in London.

million pounds isn’t too expensive for him now; he can definitely afford it... this house’s value will surely rise in a few years, a mansion in this area always has a market.

Even without considering whether it will appreciate, he should buy this house.

After leaving the oxygen chamber, Ma’el went into the therapy room, where Harry and Safina were already prepared with various essential oils, waiting for him.

He lay on the therapy bed, closed his eyes, and tried to sleep.

Living such busy and fulfilling little days, he sometimes wondered if the current him is no longer just his own.

He carries the expectations of many, with countless people pinning their hopes on him.
