Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 693: Chapter 693: She’s Pushed to the Limit

Early the next morning, at the R-Alan Group.

A light gray shirt and white wide-leg pants accentuated Monica Usher’s tall and confident demeanor.

As soon as she arrived at the company, she walked into the design department.

It was almost eight, yet half the workstations were empty!

Monica Usher’s expression darkened, thinking to herself: Do these people usually arrive just on time? This is too neglectful!

This work atmosphere is nothing compared to the Kingston Group!

She had been with R-Alan for a while now and found that people here were not motivated at all, accustomed to being laid-back, like retirees in a nursing home with no youthful energy and vigor.

As a workaholic, Monica Usher really disliked this kind of atmosphere.

After waiting for over ten minutes, she repeatedly glanced at her watch. Just as she was about to note down the tardiness, the designers rushed in like a swarm of bees!

”President Usher.”

”Good morning, President Usher.”

Though they didn’t like Monica Usher, they still had to put on appearances because she was the vice president, so everyone greeted her.

Monica Usher did not lose her temper because she couldn’t change these people.

Once everyone had arrived, Monica Usher unclasped her hands, stood up straight, and said to everyone, ”If anyone can submit their work within 24 hours, I will personally reward you with half a million!”

Her tone was firm, and her words were clear, causing the room to fall silent immediately!!

All the surprised eyes turned to her!

”Don’t worry, many are listening,” she spoke again. ”I, Monica Usher, always keep my word. Not a penny short of half a million; my demands won’t be too high. Just give me your best work. I know your capabilities well. Anyone who tries to slack off will be fired. I’m no fool!”

With that, she turned and left, not wanting to hear any more nonsense.

Even after her footsteps completely faded from earshot, everyone in the design department was still in shock, as if frozen.

”...Did I hear that right?”

”Half a million? Is she crazy?” Someone was shocked. ”There are so many of us. She would go bankrupt!”

”She’s not crazy,” someone said calmly. ”She’s desperate. She’s here for revenge, remember?”

”Right, the Kingston Group is about to launch their product. How can she not be anxious? Our drafts are nowhere to be found.”

Someone complained, ”She’s really annoying. As soon as she comes, we have to work on that true love series of four pieces. We used to only need to design three or four pieces a quarter.”

”How are your designs? How many pieces have you completed?”

”I’ve got three.”

”I’ve got three too.”

”I’ve got two, but I have inspiration for earrings and a necklace. I’m planning to sketch them today.”

”So, are we guaranteed to get this money? Completing four pieces shouldn’t be an issue?”

”Just a matter of working some extra hours. But I wonder if she’ll keep her promise.”

”She’ll have to! So many people heard her! Does she take us for fools?”

”But this is part of our job,” someone said timidly.

”Well, it was her who made the promise! If she doesn’t keep it, how will she continue in this company in the future?”

”Hurry up! Get to work!! Such benefits coming out of her own pocket are rare to encounter even in a decade.”

In the large open-plan office of the design department, everyone resumed their work.

Morning, at the Kingston Group.

Last night, Finn Morgan had insomnia and couldn’t sleep. He only dozed off after drinking a bit.

When passing by the vice president’s office, he deliberately glanced inside and saw Hailey in a yellow dress, typing at her desk.

Seeing her from a distance made Finn Morgan feel reassured, and a faint smile appeared on his lips.

Upon entering the CEO’s office, he immediately noticed a bottle of banana milk and a red bean cake on the desk, his smile deepening.

Was this a secretly sent breakfast from Hailey?
