Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 397: Chapter 397: Neither Thing nor Human

But now...

Barbara took a deep breath, feeling her eyes starting to get a little teary.

Until she heard footsteps outside the door, she quickly regained her composure and walked out.

”Special Assistant Morgan.” She called lightly, standing at the door anxiously.

The approaching Finn Morgan stopped, standing still in front of her, ”...” Why did she come?

”Justin Kingston told me to come over.” Barbara noticed his confusion, and asked with a bit of unease, ”President Usher is gone, so what’s my position now?”

Finn Morgan thought for two seconds and said to her, ”You wait here for a moment, I’ll go ask Justin Kingston how he plans to arrange things.”

”Okay.”

Seeing Finn Morgan leave, Barbara let out a small sigh of relief.

There was no arrangement for her position, even Special Assistant Morgan didn’t know, it felt like she was forcibly inserted, an extra person.

Barbara returned to the deputy general manager’s office, telling herself she must pull herself together, completely say goodbye to the past.

At least there’s still a job, she can still support herself and her family.

In the spacious and subtly luxurious CEO office next door.

Justin Kingston had just finished a video conference and stood at the window with arms crossed.

After hearing Finn Morgan’s question, he opened his lips slightly, ”The position won’t change, she’s still the deputy general manager’s assistant.”

”Hailey Hale will also come over then.” Finn Morgan reminded, ”Are you going to have two assistants for the deputy general manager?”

Justin Kingston glanced slightly at him, ”Can’t I afford two salaries?”

Finn Morgan was taken aback for a moment, quickly responding, ”Of course not!”

”Do you think Hailey Hale is someone who can get things done?” Justin Kingston was completely skeptical, his lips curved slightly.

Finn Morgan, ”...”

”I brought her over just to keep Mia entertained.”

After hearing the CEO’s statement, Finn Morgan’s worldview was completely refreshed!

Is this still the familiar CEO Kingston he’s known for years?

”I understand.” He quickly nodded, ”The real work is still done by Barbara, she’s familiar with it after all.”

”Wait.” Finn Morgan was about to leave when Justin Kingston called him, ”Mia won’t be coming for now.”

”I know.”

”So during this period, Barbara will be coordinating with you.” Justin Kingston told him, ”You’ve taken on the deputy general manager’s work, so she’s like your personal assistant now.”

Finn Morgan nodded thoughtfully, ”Alright.”

Then he went to the deputy general manager’s office.

Barbara turned her eyes upon hearing footsteps, ”Special Assistant Morgan.”

”You’re still the deputy general manager’s assistant.” Finn Morgan told her, ”Currently, I’m handling the deputy general manager’s work, so you need to coordinate with me. For convenience, you can also move to the CEO’s office.”

”No, no... I’d rather not.” Barbara became inexplicably nervous, ”I’d prefer to stay here, is that okay?”

”That’s fine too.”

She said, ”When there are documents, I’ll go and get them, delivering them is not tiring.”

Finn Morgan understood her too, the young woman just entered the workplace and didn’t want to be under the boss’s watch every day.

So he didn’t force her.

Mia Lane’s recording today went smoothly, and she went with Mary quite late.

Sean Dalton hadn’t bothered her, maybe he has learned his lesson, or maybe because she hadn’t finished her scenes, he didn’t have time to come.

Mary stayed by Mia Lane’s side, enchanted by the captivating voice, her eyes filled with admiration, she was completely immersed in the script, the sound was more powerful than the visuals.

On the set of ”The Romance of Purple Bay”.

The director hunted around, panicking.

He said to Anton Miller who had just finished a scene, ”Anton, the finale analysis page is in the office, forgot to bring it, and there’s no electronic version here, can you drive over and fetch it? They can’t get the emotions right without it.”

”Okay.”

Without a second thought, Anton Miller took the task and drove off.
