Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 382: Chapter 382: Monica Usher Comes to Plead for Mercy

Mia Lane gave him an OK gesture, and Justin Kingston walked over, took her hand, turned to Ian Shelby, and said, ”We’ll be leaving first!” Then he led her away.

In the night, the Lamborghini headed to Emerald Cove.

Sitting in the passenger seat, Mia Lane held a bottle of medicine in her hand, feeling cheerful as she turned to look at him. The warm yellow lights highlighted Justin Kingston’s features, and she couldn’t help but steal a few extra glances.

Whenever Justin Kingston was with her, the whole aura inexplicably became much more gentle.

The same night.

A red Bentley was parked in the Clearwater Bay yard, and the person in the driver’s seat hadn’t gotten out for a long time.

Monica Usher looked at the familiar vintage mansion in front of her, the lights in the living room were bright, she reminded herself to be mindful of her identity.

The wedding was over, the bride wasn’t her, all the beautiful dreams had ended.

After getting out of the car, she walked into the living room.

Kristina Kingston happened to be coming downstairs, and as they reached the corner of the stairs, their eyes met, and both stopped.

One standing at the door, the other standing on the stairs.

”Auntie.” Monica Usher painfully corrected herself, no longer qualified to call her mom.

Kristina Kingston snapped out of it, her gaze withdrawing, stepping forward.

They sat down on the sofa, and after Mary brought the tea and left, she wondered quizzically, why has she come? She was kicked out of the company by CEO Kingston, is she here to plead with the wife?

The bright lighting shone on them, and their gazes met once again.

”Auntie, I came today to plead for Barbara Sutton.” Monica Usher got to the point directly, with sincerity in her eyes, ”Justin Kingston dislikes me and fired me, but he had no reason to fire Barbara Sutton.”

”Barbara Sutton was fired too?”

Mrs. Kingston’s words were clear, using the word ”too” showed she knew about her being fired.

Monica Usher inevitably felt a bit sad; she could sense the obvious change in Mrs. Kingston’s attitude toward her.

Mrs. Kingston seemed to have tacitly consented to Justin Kingston and Mia Lane’s marriage.

”Yes.” Monica Usher nodded, ”but she hasn’t made any mistakes at work, her only fault is caring too much about me. She is a grateful child, new to the society and still very naive. We shouldn’t treat her the same just because she is my assistant.”

”I can help with this.” Kristina Kingston understood, she picked up her teacup and took a sip, saying nothing more.

Monica Usher also accepted the change in her attitude.

Kristina Kingston didn’t ask about her future plans, nor did Monica Usher take the initiative to speak.

The atmosphere was a bit awkward.

The relationship between them strangely distant, until Monica Usher stood up to leave.

Under the night sky, the Lamborghini stopped in front of the Emerald Cove villa.

Justin Kingston and Mia Lane got out of the car and entered the living room. Since they had already had dinner, they went straight upstairs.

The living room on the second floor was spacious and bright, exceptionally stylishly decorated.

The phone rang, it was Gigi calling.

Mia Lane sat on the sofa, happily answered, ”Gigi!”

”Mommy, how are you both lately?” The concerned voice of her son came through, ”Are you used to being newlyweds? Is Daddy treating you well?”

”He’s treating me very well.” Mia Lane glanced at the man with a smile and put her phone on speaker, ”Do you have anything to say to Daddy? Is Dolly there?”

Justin Kingston also sat beside her, his voice gentle and kind, ”Son, are you both adapting well abroad? Is there anything you need help with?”

”Daddy! We’re all good here, you just need to protect Mommy in Riventhal!” Gigi slapped his little chest, ”I’ll take good care of Dolly! Don’t worry!”

”Daddy, Mommy.” Dolly’s sweet voice came through, ”We will bless you from across the ocean! Have a little brother or sister soon! So we can play together when we get back.”

Three children?

Mia Lane had never thought about it!!

Yet Justin Kingston hugged her shoulders and promised to the little ones on the other end of the phone, ”Don’t worry, you will all become big brothers and sisters!”
