Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 389: Chapter 389: Taking the Initiative

”Alright, you guys can leave, I’ve got this,” Gina said. She preferred to record alone, without being watched, as it helped her express emotions better.

Because she was Gina, highly professional, and definitely wouldn’t mess up.

So, after escorting her there and exchanging some pleasantries, everyone turned to leave.

”Mia, there’s water here,” Mary noticed a case of mineral water in the corner and grabbed a bottle to hand it to her.

She reached out to take it, ”Thanks.”

Recording for a long time definitely makes one thirsty, and Mary was quite attentive.

Right after the person in charge left, Mary watched her skillfully open the equipment for testing, and the muted scene of the first episode appeared on the large screen, looking quite good.

Just then, Sean Dalton stepped out of the elevator with an assistant, heading towards Recording Studio 33.

Her scenes had just ended, and she was eager to meet this Gina.

She had always been curious whether Gina was a man or a woman?

Clearly a big star, picky with scripts, and yet she had the ability. How could Anton Miller invite her over with just a few words? And without even looking at the scripts?

She really couldn’t understand! Could it be that they knew each other?

Anton Miller hadn’t arrived yet; he was caught up in an important fighting scene with the male lead, which was rather challenging and took longer to shoot.

Sean Dalton had perfectly timed her visit to come over for a look.

Her red high heels stopped in front of the recording studio.

Just as she was about to raise her hand to knock, she noticed the door was ajar, not fully closed. That meant the soundproofing was almost ineffective.

”Oh my, Anton is too good to me, I feel too shy to reject him,” Sean Dalton said flirtatiously to her assistant while playing with her diamond ring, ”I plan to accept his confession, and date him discreetly, keeping it hidden from all the fans for now.”

The assistant looked stunned; when did he ever confess to you? Didn’t he hardly care about you?

But the assistant quickly understood that this was intentionally said for those inside the recording studio to hear.

Inside the room.

Mia Lane and Mary happened to overhear and both glanced back.

She told Mary, ”Go close the door, we need to start recording.”

”Okay.” Mary moved to close the door.

Mia caught the tone; did Anton Ford confess to Sean Dalton? Was he serious?

”What do you think? If the media catches us, I’ll admit it,” Sean Dalton said with a smile to her assistant, ”Celebrities are human too, they have feelings.”

The assistant met her gaze, unsure of how to respond.

Just as Mary was about to close the door, Sean Dalton reached out to push the door open.

Standing not far away, holding the script, Mia Lane turned her gaze, as Sean Dalton walked inwards, their eyes meeting.

Mia Lane seemed very calm.

Sean Dalton’s steps faltered in utter shock as she looked at her!

Then she surveyed the surroundings; there was no one else, and she looked at Mary by the door, wondering who was Gina?

One was about to close the door, the other holding a script.

After a brief analysis, Sean Dalton’s gaze locked onto Mia Lane, ”Is it you?” Her tone was full of disdain, and even her steps towards her became arrogant.

Mary quickly moved to Mia Lane’s side, sensing a brewing conflict, needing to protect the idol!

Mia Lane calmly met Sean Dalton’s gaze, quite composed.

Downstairs, a black Volvo pulled up, the driver opened the door, and the formally dressed Anton Miller stepped out, removing his sunglasses as he headed into the building.

Due to his stellar acting skills, the complex fighting scene was done in one take, thus rushing over to check on Mia.

Inside the recording studio.

Sean Dalton laughed towards the sky, then mocked, ”What capability does Mrs. Kingston really have? To impersonate Gina just to get close to my Anton? Aren’t you afraid of being legally pursued?”
