Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 197: Chapter 197: Fell in Love Seven Years Ago

At this moment, however, her heart ached as if pierced by needles. She was trying hard to control it, yet her lips still held a smile, ”I love you too.”

She saw the curve of Justin Kingston’s lips become even more beautiful, his smile more brilliant.

They finished their coffee and took the car back to the castle estate. Along the way, the two of them held each other’s hands tightly, gradually losing themselves in their thoughts.

In the exquisitely tasteful suite, Justin couldn’t help but embrace her from behind, resting his chin lightly on her shoulder like a child, ”Darling, shall we take a bath together?”

The man, standing on the clouds and revered by all, could also have such a passionate moment.

”...” Mia Lane’s heartbeat became irregular, her cheeks burning hot.

But that’s the greatness of love; when you truly fall in love, your whole soul can’t help but sink, unwilling to refuse any request from the other, no matter how slightly excessive.

”Okay.” She agreed.

Justin filled the bathtub with warm water, sprinkled some petals, and then lit the candelabra, turning off the main light.

In the vast space, only the gentle flicker of candlelight remained, the warm yellow glow flickering softly. The steam in the bathroom blended with the air, making it a bit hard to distinguish illusion from reality.

Half an hour later—

Mia, in a white bathrobe, stood in front of the mirror, and Justin, holding a hairdryer, dried her hair.

In the mirror, she saw his robe slightly open, unconsciously revealing a few of his abdominal muscles.

Mia turned around and buried her head in his embrace.

”What’s wrong?” The man’s voice was low and magnetic.

”Nothing, just want a hug.”

She suddenly felt an urge to cry, yet love is not selfish. Monica Usher is the most suitable person for him, and one must keep their promises; she had agreed to leave for the Kingston lady.

She didn’t want to cause them to turn against each other because of herself.

With the Kingston lady’s recovery, good days for the Kingston family had begun.

After her hair was dry, Justin planted a gentle kiss on her forehead.

Then he led her to the window and personally poured two glasses of red wine.

With the main light turned off, the bright moonlight poured in, allowing them to see each other clearly through the dimness.

”Do you remember the scene from seven years ago when we first met?” Justin started the conversation.

Mia held her wine glass, ”I remember.”

”There was something wrong with that glass of wine. I didn’t have any thoughts about it at the time,” he said honestly. ”I just didn’t want the person who drugged it to succeed. Just as I opened the door, I saw you.”

Mia’s slightly tense expression was perfectly hidden by her long hair trailing down her face.

”If it hadn’t been you that night, it would have been someone else.” He leaned back in the chair, ”But I’m very grateful it was you. I’ve also looked for you before.”

”Why look for me?” She was slightly startled, ”To compensate for mental damages?”

The roses bloomed outside the window, beading with dew, and the night was extraordinarily quiet.

”Of course not,” he said. ”I don’t know why, but I missed the faint herbal scent on you. I remember the details of that night very clearly; it felt like a magical experience.”

Her cheeks grew hotter, did he remember every detail?

Justin took a sip of his wine, then put down the glass, walked around the coffee table, and came behind her, leaning down to grasp her shoulders.

His thin lips gently approached her ear and said softly, ”Perhaps, I fell in love with you seven years ago.”

Her heart inexplicably skipped a beat, ”...”

The next second, the man’s fingers gently pinched her chin.

Mia turned her face accordingly, his breath enveloped her, and he kissed her with deep affection...

The next morning.

In the thin morning light, the castle estate was as beautiful as a dream.

In the well-lit suite, on the wide and soft double bed.

Justin lay sideways, his head supported by his elbow, smiling as he gazed at the girl sleeping peacefully.

His gaze was as rich as the aromatic fragrance of wine.

Today, he was to endorse the ring designed for Alice, and the media was likely already there, with makeup artists and stylist prepared.

But Justin was reluctant to wake her, thinking she must be exhausted from last night’s activities...
