Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 151: Chapter 151: Monica Usher’s Scheming

”How have you been lately?” she asked with a smile. ”Is everything going smoothly?”

”Receiving your call on such a beautiful morning, I’m in a great mood,” the other person shared. ”The weather in Aeridia has been nice lately, so I’m naturally in good spirits.”

Monica Usher’s eyes carried a gentle warmth. ”That’s good.”

The person asked with concern, ”How has CEO Kingston been? As busy as before?”

”Yes.” Monica’s voice was gentle. ”Mr. Ed, both Justin Kingston and I are especially grateful for your past help to Kingston Group.”

”It’s been such a long time, no need to keep mentioning it. We’re all friends. It was just a small favor.”

”Mr. Ed, there’s something I would like to ask for your help with,” Monica said, somewhat embarrassed.

”What is it? Please, go ahead.”

She smiled and held her breath, ”Could you move the meeting you’ve scheduled with Justin Kingston to the day after tomorrow?”

The other person was clearly taken aback, ”Did something happen?”

”Not really.”

Ed apologized, ”But my schedule is already full this month, and I genuinely don’t have time the day after tomorrow.”

”I remember it’s your daughter’s 18th birthday on the 15th of this month,” Monica had done her research. ”No matter how busy you are, on such an important day, you will be by your daughter’s side, right?”

”When I said I wasn’t free, I meant I’ll be with her,” he said with a smile. ”It’s just that her birthday is not meant to bother you. Justin Kingston is also a busy man; I can imagine his work schedule at any moment.”

”This wouldn’t be an inconvenience. After all, there’s a collaboration to discuss, and with your relationship with Justin Kingston, he should come.”

Having heard this, Mr. Ed was also joyful; after all, being friends with Justin Kingston is a great honor.

Monica added, ”During the time Justin has scheduled with you, there’s an urgent project he needs to personally oversee, so...”

The other person understood — rescheduling was Justin’s idea.

Ed couldn’t refuse and agreed, ”Well, in that case, I’ll agree to it.”

”Thank you, Mr. Ed, for your understanding. I thank you on behalf of Justin Kingston.”

”Please, don’t prepare a gift for my daughter,” the other person said mysteriously. ”When the time comes, I’ll ask you and Justin Kingston for a favor. I’ve already thought of something you can help me with.”

”Us?” Monica was puzzled.

”Yes, I’ll tell you then.”

”Alright.” Monica smiled. Suddenly, she heard another voice on the other end of the phone, and before long, Mr. Ed said, ”Monica, something came up here. I’ll hang up now. Please come the day after tomorrow.”

”Alright.”

”You must come, and Justin Kingston is welcome too!”

”Got it.” The woman smiled gently, ”Thank you.”

Ed was a Chinese-American, one of the few friends Justin Kingston had, who had offered help when Kingston Group needed it.

He was one of the very few important figures in Justin’s life and also a successful business entrepreneur.

Ed had been ill before, leading to a loss of feeling in his legs, so he now moved around in a wheelchair, his movements limited. Therefore, for their planned discussion on a new project, Justin had agreed earlier that he would fly over to meet Ed.

Standing in front of the bedroom’s floor-to-ceiling window, Monica held her phone as the smile on her face gradually faded, a hint of intelligence flashed in her eyes.

She wouldn’t let Cora Yates take Justin Kingston away!

Clearwater Bay, under the bright moonlight.

In the upstairs bedroom of Cora Yates.

Mia Lane finally freed herself from Justin Kingston’s embrace, hurriedly whispering, ”You hurry out, I need to take a shower!”

Her head was dizzy from his kisses!

Justin Kingston wouldn’t spend the night here; he still had a sliver of rationality. So when Mia Lane pushed him out of the bedroom, he didn’t resist much, only feeling a sense of reluctance.

Bam!

The grand CEO was ruthlessly shut out of the door!
