Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 156: Chapter 156: Take Off the Mask!

Upstairs, Mary said to Mia Lane, ”If you don’t go down, the madam will have the servants bring the food up, and stay with you to eat together.”

Mary’s meaning was clear. Mia Lane watched Mary leave, feeling that no matter what, she needed to go downstairs.

Just as she was about to leave the pharmaceutical research room, her phone rang.

She took out her phone, glanced at the caller ID, and answered, ”Hello.”

”We’ve arrived in Aeridia, at a beautiful estate, the environment is particularly nice. You don’t need to worry, the kids are very excited.” Justin Kingston reported the situation there as soon as he got off the private plane.

Mia Lane’s eyes held a smile, she said softly, ”That’s great, enjoy yourselves. I won’t keep you, it’s time for my meal.”

”Alright, I’ll call you tonight, we haven’t unpacked our luggage yet.”

”Okay.”

Justin Kingston ended the call.

Mia Lane put away her phone and went downstairs.

When she reached the entrance of the dining room, she felt the atmosphere was different today.

Kristina Kingston sat upright in the white dining chair, she looked with some thin anger at the woman in a black mask walking towards them.

Mia Lane stopped in her tracks, just about to speak when Kristina Kingston coldly said, ”Take off the mask!”

Meeting her gaze, Mia Lane felt a tightening in her chest.

”Quickly!” Kristina Kingston slapped the table and stood up, startling everyone.

Mia Lane was clearly taken aback, had she been recognized?

Three seconds later, Mia Lane was mentally prepared, under Kristina Kingston’s watchful eye, she reached out and removed the black mask.

This exquisitely beautiful face made Kristina Kingston frown, her eyes growing even colder!

The air seemed to stall momentarily, Mary’s mind went blank.

Kristina Kingston took steps forward, standing firm in front of Mia Lane in that instant.

Slap—!

Mia Lane’s face was smacked to the side! Her ear buzzed, stars danced before her eyes!

Soon, half of her face became visibly swollen, the prickly pain spreading through her!

Mary beside them was also shocked!

How could the madam resort to hitting people?

Mia Lane forcibly suppressed the anger in her heart, reminding herself that she was Justin’s mother, her child’s grandmother, deserving of respect!

Thus, she gradually returned her beaten face, looking towards Kristina Kingston.

She saw in those eyes from under the mask nothing but disdain and anger!

”Lying to me, lying to my son!” Those were eyes that wished to tear her apart, ”How long are you going to keep pretending?!”

Mia Lane returned to her senses regarding the lying, she apologized, ”I’m sorry.”

Before she could say another word, Kristina Kingston humiliated her, ”You’ve been sleeping with Dr. Shelby for ages, haven’t you? These two kids are his, aren’t they? Otherwise, why would he cooperate with you in lying?!”

”What are you saying?” Mia Lane frowned and explained, ”Ian...”

”Still trying to argue? Could your stories be any more outrageous?!” Kristina Kingston’s anger arose, ”A country bumpkin girl! Daring to impersonate Pharmacist Cora Yates? What exactly are you trying to do?!”

”The kids belong to Ian Shelby, don’t they?!”

”The paternity test was fake, right?”

After hearing these words, Mia Lane was simply speechless, facing such a grotesque madwoman, she felt that now was not the time to explain.

The taste of blood filled her mouth, Mia Lane raised her hand to gently wipe her lips, finding blood.

”If Monica hadn’t reminded me, the whole Kingston family would have been emptied by you and Ian Shelby, wouldn’t it?!” Kristina Kingston shouted at her, ”Speak! What’s your goal? Is it for money?!”

Mia Lane had never heard such a voice filled with deep hatred, those eyes seemed poised to ignite with rage.

”He develops drugs and you take credit?! Have you no shame?! Do you truly think we Kingston people are fools?!”

Mary supported Kristina Kingston anxiously, afraid she would hit again.

Her entire body shook with rage, her breath unsteady, ”Mia Lane!!”

Mia Lane just stared at her, unwilling to explain further, she understood clearly that explaining was not appropriate now.

”Get out!” Kristina Kingston pointed to the door, ”Get out immediately!! I never want to see you again!”
