Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 152: Chapter 152: Bit by Bit Falling Into the Trap

Justin Kingston didn’t feel defeated because he had kissed enough.

Carrying the warmth from Mia Lane’s lips and her unique sweetness, he walked to the door next to his, halting briefly and immaturely glancing scornfully at Ian Shelby’s bedroom!

Only then did he nonchalantly enter his own room!

People say that women in love have zero IQ, and I think men are pretty much the same, right?

Back in his room, that kiss left Justin wanting more, a gentle smile spreading across his handsome face just as his phone chimed with a notification.

He checked his phone and saw a message from Monica Usher on WeChat, saying Ed had called, the schedule had changed and their meeting time was moved up, also inviting him and her to attend Ed’s daughter’s eighteenth birthday celebration.

Justin read the message three times and then dialed Monica Usher’s number.

When the phone in Monica Usher’s palm rang, she was startled!

Staring at the caller ID, she took a deep breath before answering, ”Hello, still awake?” Her voice was particularly gentle.

”What’s going on? Weren’t we scheduled for next month?” Justin asked, ”Did he tell you this?”

”Yes.” Monica Usher was also frustrated, ”Mr. Ed just called; he hopes we can attend his daughter’s eighteenth birthday party. He also feels very sorry because his leg surgery, the fifth one, is scheduled for next month, and the doctor’s timetable conflicts with yours, so he wants to discuss the cooperation with you while celebrating his daughter’s birthday.”

Justin didn’t doubt the authenticity of this because it was quite reasonable.

”When is his daughter’s birthday?”

”The 15th of this month, the day after tomorrow, but we have to arrive on the 14th, right?”

”Are you going too?” Justin asked again.

”Yes.” Monica Usher remained calm, ”He invited us both, he said he needed our help with something.”

Justin’s expression was calm, his deep eyes looking at the night sky, ”Got it.”

”Then you should rest early, goodnight.” With that, she hung up the phone of her own accord.

Monica Usher didn’t give him a chance to refuse; since it involved Mr. Ed, Justin would seriously consider it.

On her phone’s web page, there was a display of Ed’s daughter’s Baidu Encyclopedia page, with her birthday prominently highlighted.

She had to get Justin out of Clearwater Bay!

He couldn’t live there any longer, otherwise, Cora Yates would enchant him!

She would use her wisdom and means to win over Justin!

At Clearwater Bay, inside a vintage mansion.

Justin didn’t consider whether or not to go.

Instead, he sent a message on WeChat to the girl next door—done with your shower?

Mia Lane replied with a single word—No.

He chuckled and replied again—using your phone in the shower? And replying so quickly?

There was no response from the other side, silence...

This made Justin a bit uneasy, what was she doing?

After a while, she sent another message—I’m going to sleep.

Goodnight.

Goodnight.

After exchanging goodnights, Justin felt quite happy.

He lay in bed, thinking of Mr. Ed, who had done a great favor for the Kingston Group, so he had no choice but to attend his daughter’s coming-of-age ceremony.

The next morning.

Ian Shelby opened his bedroom door and saw Justin Kingston like a wall blocking the entrance, which startled him!

”...Morning.” Ian released the doorknob, ”Come in.” Puzzled, when did he start standing here?

Justin entered the room, gently closed the door, ”I’m leaving, flying to Aeridia tomorrow. I’m here to remind you, don’t cross the line with her in your teacher-student relationship.”

”CEO Kingston.” Ian couldn’t resist commenting, ”You really are...”

”I’m serious.” Justin said, hands in pockets, not joking at all, ”You need to keep your distance from her, no improper thoughts.”

”I do not!” Ian also got serious, ”I’ve said it before, as long as you’re good to her, I’ll bless you both.”

Justin nodded, placed a hand on his shoulder, and said in a solemn tone, ”Help me take good care of her these days; my mom has a bad temper.”

Ian nodded, ”Don’t worry about that, definitely.”
