The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

“Why would you five want to leave when you can stay in this world?” he asked.

Since the only thing preventing them from roaming around is the heavens, then the moment they escape their wrath, why can’t they stay in his world?

“We can’t. If we were to stay in your world, our presence would attract too much attention. Of course, we could risk it and stay, but that would just be asking for too much trouble.”

“In simple terms, until your world awakens, any being above the Ascension stage cannot stay in an unawakened world. If our presence is felt in this world, danger will follow.

Although we have regressed from the True God stage to the Domain stage, we are still far above the limit of this world, so our presence would just be inviting trouble.”

“I see. I guess that makes sense,” Klaus nodded. He wouldn’t want to put the world in danger. “Then where will you go after I release you?”

“That? We will explore this starfield and see if any world here has awakened. If we find one, we will stay there and grow our strength before heading to the Dragon Galaxy.”

Monarch of Despair answered, showing his intelligence of the known universe.

Naturally, it was thanks to Klaus’s first incarnation and the subsequent ones who wielded the bead and traveled the universe that made them learn all this.

“It looks like you know more than I thought,” Klaus smiled. He wanted to fly into the starry skies, but he also didn’t have the strength to do that yet.

So he wants to know more now.

So he started asking about the universe and the five monarchs, who were more than happy to answer him.

When he had enough, he decided to focus on what he was after: his demands. They made their demands, and now, he also has to make his.

“I don’t have many demands. In fact, I only have two demands.” Klaus smiled, looking at the dragons as if he was about to scam them.

“First, I want all your skills. Instead of just three, I want all of them.” Klaus smiled, watching the expressions flicker across their faces.

“Second, I want a drop of your essence blood…”

“These are my only two demands. If you can meet them, I will gladly give you my blood.” The five Monarchs continued to look at Klaus for a few minutes, contemplating how to respond to such demands.

Taking their essence blood sounded simple, but in reality, it meant taking a part of their bloodline, which would require them months or perhaps years to recover.

Though it was just a drop, it contains the nature of each of them, and extracting it means taking a huge chunk of their qualities.

“No need to look down, you five. The moment you evolve using my blood, you will recover everything and even gain more than you can ask for.” Klaus said with a smile.

“We accept. However, whether you can absorb it will depend on your strength. If you die, that is your own fault.”

Klaus smiled.

“Trust me, death is the last thing that will happen.” He can already see five perfect warriors with the qualities of the five monarchs.

“Very well.” The dragons moved and transformed, taking on their demi-dragon forms. They clapped their hands together, and a drop of blood flew out from their foreheads.

Klaus waved his hand, and the five blood essences were frozen in ice. He moved everything inside his soul sea, adding it to the Phoenix blood essence.

They then waved their hands, and five tablets appeared, each housing their skills and techniques. Klaus smiled and sent them all into his soul sea again.

After everything was done, Klaus transformed into his Star Monarch form and retrieved five drops of his blood, freezing them in ice.

“Here you go.” He moved the ice to the five monarchs, who received it with careful gestures.

“I don’t know much about the evolution, but at your level, I predict the process will complete between two to three months.

By then, I will arrange to send you as far as possible. Until then, happy cultivating.” Klaus, with a smile on his handsome, mischievous face, vanished from the bead and appeared on the outside.

The five monarchs looked at each other for a few seconds before nodding. They vanished, and the next second, they appeared atop tall mountains—five identical mountains.

They sat down and started absorbing the blood by swallowing it.

In the next two and a half months, the heavens will notice what they have done and respond accordingly.

Whether or not they survive will depend on how much they want to leave.

Meanwhile, Klaus, who had just arrived inside the room where he and his ladies were spending time, smiled.

The ladies stripped him and decided to help him relax, so they started doing their best to keep him calm. Naturally, it worked, and Klaus, who held a smile throughout the two hours of lovemaking, slept like a baby.

Two days later, he woke up refreshed and ready to head out with his friends and new allies.

The 606 people he recruited using the trial were divided into ten groups.

His uncles took five teams, Old Lu took one team, and War God Henry, whom he met in the Austria-Union a couple of days ago, also took one team.

The remaining teams went with three other instructors at the Transcendent stage.

They would each take on a Tier 7 forbidden zone, and after managing to clear it, they would meet him and his friends somewhere so they could all move to Monsterland, the training ground he had picked for his training.

Klaus and his friends and women also set off to the Tier 8 forbidden zone. Along with them were the triplets Aria, Nova, and Stella.

Vida Stronghold was also with them. Matt was also part.

Klaus had given the other five faction leaders a second chance, so they were also moving with him. They were powerful warriors, and holding a grudge would just be petty.

The twin assassins were also on the team now. As for Lycos and his five friends, they will be having their tribulation in the coming days, so he told them to wait. He will come pick them up later.

Nari and Queenie wouldn’t join them, but Miriam and Nadia were on the team. Kofi, Klaus’s driver, also went with Uncle Ziggy.

Miguel was also with them, having spent most of his time inside forbidden zones training to catch up with Klaus.

It took them six hours to reach the forbidden zone. But before entering, Klaus stopped them for one final instruction.

“You will first fight as a single team. This will allow me to see your fighting style, and from there, I can draw up the perfect battle plans.

Remember, this is the first battle you all will be fighting as a team; don’t try to show off.” Klaus looked at Danny.

“I am talking to you, Danny. We all know you are immortal on the battlefield, but for the purpose of teamwork, you all should work together.

I will watch your backs, so relax your nerves and show me what you have. Also, you must ensure you are not bitten. I hear their sting is not for the faint of heart.”

They nodded and then marched into the forbidden zone, where they would be spending the next two weeks.

They couldn’t kill everything inside on the same day.

First, they would find a place to stay, and from there, they would survey the environment and spy on their target. This would allow them to form a battle plan.
