The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

Klaus stood there, staring at the beautiful redhead who was gritting her teeth through the pain.

The formation wasn’t just linking with her skin; it was reaching deep within her soul to open access to her heart.

This would allow her to form a phoenix heart, which is the most important aspect of this process.

So she kept gritting her teeth for close to 10 hours before she finally calmed down and entered a trance-like state.

Klaus, who saw that she had finally entered the transformation phase, sighed and decided to leave.

Since he is the master of the cube, he will be able to see her inside the cube whenever he wants, so he can check up on her over the next few days while he spends time outside the cube.

When he came out, Queenie was standing in front of the cube.

“Where did you send her?” she asked.

“Somewhere she will be safe to complete her transformation,” Klaus replied, moving closer to hold her waist. The Overlord didn’t object.

“Will she be alright? I mean, she seemed okay when I saw her three days ago, but will she be okay?” She looked worried.

“She will be fine,” Klaus assured her.

“I will take her to the moon when the time comes to break through.

This way, she will be far from this place even if something does happen. But rest assured, with me around, she will be fine,” Klaus said, making Queenie smile slightly.

“If you don’t hold back, everyone will know we’re a thing… Not that I would care,” Queenie said, feeling Klaus’s hand massage her butt.

“You’re right. Let’s hold back for now. I must get the triplets first before making it public,” Klaus smiled.

“Good luck with that. Mother would never agree to even shower with you,” Queenie laughed, making Klaus look at her fondly.

The previous out-of-touch Queenie he met in Stone Valley was now different in a way.

She looked much more lively, and it was all thanks to Klaus, who had ensured she was transformed through their nightly activities.

“Where will you go next? All your friends and ladies are in the inner section. You’re the only one left here,” Queenie said teasingly.

“I will go see the dean, but first, I will check how my faction is faring while I am away,” Klaus said, but Queenie smiled.

“All of them are gone on a mission. Only your friends and lovers are left since they chose to wait and train inside the illusions until after you returned.”

“Then I will go see them,” Klaus said, planting a kiss on her lips before moving toward the door. Queenie watched him leave before she also vanished from the room.

Klaus made his way to the Stairway to Heaven, and after exchanging greetings with the instructor, he climbed up as if it were a normal stair.

“K-Klaus…” The moment Klaus appeared in the inner section, a disciple he knew all too well came face to face with him.

The look on his face said it all—he was terrified of him.

“Hello there, Hunter Duncan. Good to see you’re doing well,” Klaus said, taking a step forward.

Hunter Duncan, the same brat who had tried to make his life miserable a couple of months ago, was now staring at him as if he were some kind of demon lord.

He had witnessed how Klaus destroyed his family, and that, coupled with the fact that Klaus didn’t even consider the ultimate weapon used by the alliance was worth his attention, scared the life out of him.

While Hunter was struggling to find words, his sister, Kate Duncan, appeared along with the heirs of the three great clans that Klaus had destroyed.

“Cat got your tongue, huh? Not that I expected much from you losers,” Klaus smirked. He hated them, but not to the point of snapping their necks.

“Klaus, we didn’t come here to look for trouble. We just came to tell you that all animosity between us ended when the battle was over.

From now on, we will go our separate ways, and you go yours,” Kate said with a calm expression.

Klaus smirked inwardly.

He could tell the heavens were protecting her from his overbearing presence. But he didn’t care about that. Now, if he wanted, he could kill her, and the heavens wouldn’t be able to do a thing.

“I know you yourself don’t believe what you just said,” Klaus said with another smirk.

“Let me guess, after the battle, a mysterious figure came to give you an offer you couldn’t reject. Perhaps he offered to make you guys overlords overnight if you kneeled to him.

Or maybe he promised to give you a weapon that could kill me.” He smirked again, causing a frown to appear on the faces of the five before him.

“Not that I have anything against that. Just know that I have already seen this moment and the moment after, and let me tell you, the outcome is the same every time.

20,543 scenarios where you guys came after me, but it all ended in the same way,” Klaus said, looking at the five.

“Kate here died with her neck twisted at an unnatural angle. I just lost motivation to kill her, so I twisted her neck. Hunter died hanging upside down with his spear through his heart.

Again, I lost the motivation to kill him, so I used his own weapon against him. As for you three, Zaid Nabil died after having all his arms and legs severed and used to stab him through the heart.

Kim died after staring into the face of despair for a few seconds. As for you, Ricky, I don’t know how it happened, but your death occurred before the battle.

Perhaps it was a misunderstanding between teammates. But all the same, you died, and it happened before the 20-second battle.

“Now, think about this and go back to your benefactor.

Tell them I know they exist, so they should do well to develop something worth fearing. Until then, you all should know that in 20,543 battles against you five, it didn’t end well for either one of you.”

Klaus laughed and walked away.
