The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

“Hahahaha,” Klaus burst into laughter.

He was now seated with his friends as they began the celebration of the arrival of their new allies, the Moon-Borns.

Both humans and moon-borns are seated and mingling to the best of their abilities.

The current him was in stark contrast to the previous him, who nearly killed the Moon Born.

All around, the Moon-Borns, who were mostly women with a minority of men, kept staring in his direction.

Queenie chose to invite a few more people to celebrate such a memorable event now that they had finally added the Moon-Borns to their world and would forever be friends.

“Klaus, just how can you travel through the Void?” Nia asked. “And please be serious with your answer.”

They all saw how he opened the Void when he nearly killed the arrogant simp who chose to crash such a memorable moment for the Earthlings and the Moon-Borns.

It ended badly for him. But what shook many was the fact that Klaus used the void.

They knew that for someone to be able to start sensing the Void and then use it, they must first reach the Transcendent stage. So then, how was he able to do so when he was just a Great Sage?

“My bloodline allows me to have some influence on reality and, to some extent, the void. But in case you all don’t know, travelling the Void is not something the current me can do freely.

When I used it, it took a toll on me, and I was even ejected and fell into a Tier 7 Forbidden Zone. So don’t think about learning it.

Of course, you can try, but don’t come crying to me when you get lost in the Void.”

Klaus laughed.

“I just don’t understand how you can be this powerful. It makes me wonder just how much you’re still hiding.”

“A lot, actually. But don’t worry, everyone has their own secrets, just like how you all didn’t want to show your trump cards,” Klaus smirked.

“I guess you are right”, Nia said with a slight nod.

“Very soon, you will be forced to reveal them, or else you will die. And let me tell you, my training will not see you as friends or brothers. You all will suffer.”

“Provided we grow by leaps and bounds, we won’t complain,” Danny said, already pumped to hack his axe at some monsters.

“Keep that enthusiasm, my brother, for you will need it,” Klaus smiled before looking toward his left.

“Lycos, my friend, how have you been?” Klaus said, looking toward the silver-green-haired guy he met on the moon.

He was one of the brats who thought they had Ohema in the bag so they could become arrogant. Of course, after Klaus and he had a good talk, he straightened up and became his friend—the hard way.

“Why don’t you guys come sit with us?” Klaus said, making sure “no” wouldn’t be an answer they could entertain.

The brat, who was traumatized along with his friends, could only move toward Klaus and his friends. They did not want to think about the event that happened on the moon.

Watching the five moon-borns head toward Klaus’s table, many started wondering how Klaus knew people from the moon and even appeared friendly to them.

“How have you guys been?” Klaus asked, looking at the five people he met and befriended while on the moon about a year ago.

“As you can see, we are in one piece, so fine, I guess,” Dren, the only one of the five who didn’t come looking for trouble with Klaus back then, said in a casual tone.

Among all five of them, he was the only one who took Klaus as a friend to heart. So he was much more relaxed.

“I can see that, Dren. You all have reached the peak of the Sovereign stage, and your auras have changed. We should spar tomorrow,” Klaus suggested, but the five frowned.

“I don’t think that will be necessary, Brother Klaus. We can just spar with your friends,” Zayn said, and Danny smiled.

“Indeed, we would love to spar with you five. Klaus keeps talking about how powerful you guys are, so why don’t we spar to see if he was telling the truth?” Danny said, looking at Zayn, the bald fellow who uses gauntlets.

As brute a brute fighter, Zayn is the perfect opponent.

“You will lose if you fight him, Danny,” Klaus said to Danny, who just couldn’t read the room. He isn’t like his brother, who knows how to analyze his opponent’s strength before attacking.

“We’ll never know who will win until we spar. I am confident I can beat him,” Danny said with confidence.

“Well, perhaps your confidence can pave the way for you, but judging by the difference in aura and cultivation base, you will lose.”

Thanks to his unknown bloodline, Klaus can now read the aura around people. Lycos and his four friends are much more powerful than his friends.

And it wasn’t just them; looking all over, he could tell the Moon-Borns were stronger than the Earthlings.

Of course, this was a result of the dire nature of the moon. The Lunar Beasts outnumbered them in the millions, so they had to fight every single day.

This helped them grow much faster than the humans.

Klaus and his friends started connecting with the five new Moon-Borns, who, thanks to Danny’s lively nature, began to blend in much faster.

After a while, Queenie called Klaus to come to the “big boy’s table,” where he would be introduced to the new Grand Elders who had recently reached the Ascendant stage.

After that was done, there were a few rounds of drinking until the night came to an end.

By the time day broke, the Moon-Borns had settled down, and life as they knew it had now started anew for them on Earth.

Of course, when the reporters arrived in the morning, they could see thousands of Moon-Borns sparring with each other.

This showed how dedicated they were as warriors.

But this display also sparked another conversation among those still concerned that the Moon-Borns might turn against the people of Earth if they were not controlled.

But as the days passed, they all began to understand something. They started to see the advantages they now had.

With these warriors entering the Forbidden Zones, they could already envision a future where they wouldn’t have to worry about monster tides.

However, aside from these new changes, Klaus’s mom had already moved to Moonville, using the excuse that she wanted to get to know the family from which her son was marrying two beauties.

In reality, instead of staying for a few days, she would be there for months. This meant the assassin twins, who were almost at the stage of taking their tribulations to become Transcendents, were now moved to the academy.

The Moon-Borns also started enrolling in the academy at Klaus’s request. This allowed Lycos and the others to join his faction, which would soon be launching its first campaign.

A week later, Klaus met with the Overlords and Grand Elders to discuss the future of Earth and the Moon, along with other important matters.
