Super Strong Little Divine Farmer

Chapter 600: Chapter 601: Ambushed

Pei Lai stared at Lin Chen with caution and said, ”I’ve said all that should be said, there shouldn’t be any problem now, right?”

Lin Chen gave Pei Lai a cool look, ”No problem? You’re thinking too simply. How about the drug trafficking?”

”Drug trafficking? That’s the family business; I have no choice,” Pei Lai’s expression changed as he spoke.

Lin Chen also understood that it was difficult for Pei Lai to make his family give up such huge commercial profits, especially when T-country was in a state of chaos. Even if the Pei Lai family withdrew from the business, there would be other families ready to take it over.

”I can let go of pursuing the drug trafficking, but you must ensure one thing: you cannot engage in the drug trade in Hua Xia. Can you do that?” Lin Chen asked indifferently.

”That’s no problem; I can make that decision,” Pei Lai nodded in agreement.

Lin Chen smiled, ”I’ll be watching your performance, and I hope you won’t disappoint me.”

Pei Lai let out a sigh of relief and asked, ”Can you let me go now?”

Lin Chen shook his head, ”Of course not. I need to make sure what you said is true. I’m going to check out the warehouse you mentioned right now, and if it’s true, I will come back and release you.”

After questioning Pei Lai, Lin Chen and Qima drove straight to the pharmaceutical plant on the outskirts of the city.

”Do you believe everything Pei Lai said is true?” Qima asked with concern.

Lin Chen nodded, ”His words should be true. Although Pei Lai appears fierce on the outside, he’s actually a paper tiger, at most an ungrown tiger. With the intimidation I’ve put him under, he shouldn’t dare to lie.”

In fact, Lin Chen was tailoring the punishment to the crime. Pei Lai’s greatest loves were women and his reputation; not only had Lin Chen made it impossible for Pei Lai to indulge in women anymore, but he also intended to leave him with an ignominious end, dying of constipation, which for Pei Lai was a deadly blow.

About an hour later, the two finally arrived at the pharmaceutical plant Pei Lai had mentioned.

Looking at the plant, both of them furrowed their brows.

The pharmaceutical plant was pitch-dark, its surroundings overgrown with weeds; it was obvious that it hadn’t been visited for a long time.

”You wait at the entrance; I’ll go take a look,” Lin Chen said gravely.

”No, I want to go in too,” Qima shook her head.

Lin Chen shook his head, ”No, we can’t both go in. If there’s an ambush inside, entering together means we could get completely surrounded. If one stays outside, there’s still someone to call for reinforcements in case something happens.”

In the end, Qima could only nod her head. Lin Chen got out of the car and, using the cover of night and the weeds, sneaked towards the factory building of the pharmaceutical plant.

As expected, the factory building had been abandoned, eerily quiet all around.

The factory’s main door was locked with an iron padlock. Lin Chen looked around, then climbed through an open window.

No sooner had Lin Chen’s feet touched the ground than his pupils suddenly focused, his body jerked backward, and almost simultaneously a bullet whizzed past his cheek.

Lin Chen was secretly alarmed. If it weren’t for his keen sense of danger just now, he would have been shot in the head.

Without any hesitation, Lin Chen darted behind cover.

Bang, bang, bang!

Almost at the same moment, three more shots rang out. The attacker’s marksmanship was extremely precise, with bullets hitting the ground close to where Lin Chen had been. Had it not been for Lin Chen’s swift reaction, anyone else might have been hit by now.

Using his X-ray vision, Lin Chen peered through the dust kicked up by the bullets and immediately spotted a sniper lying on a metal framework in the distance.

Just then, suddenly, four dark figures pounced toward Lin Chen like lightning, each holding a sharp dagger that flashed with a cold light in the darkness.

The four men moved incredibly fast and coordinated with each other perfectly.

Utilizing the darkness, they almost sealed off all of Lin Chen’s escape routes.

If it had been an ordinary person, just having been attacked by a sniper rifle, they would definitely still be in shock, and a further surprise attack would surely send them into a frenzy.

However, Lin Chen’s reaction completely defied their expectations.

Lin Chen’s body leaped up once more, and just as a knife from one of the men in black was about to stab him, he threw a punch that smashed directly into the man’s left shoulder.

”Crack!” Accompanied by a dull sound, the knife from the man in black fell into Lin Chen’s hand, and his body shot backward like a cannonball, collapsing to the ground motionless.

At this time, the other three also made their move, but Lin Chen was fearless, waving the knife in his hand and launching rapid attacks that forced them to retreat repeatedly.

Bang!

The sniper rifle sounded again from behind, and Lin Chen swiftly dodged to the side as a bullet grazed his right shoulder.

Almost simultaneously, Lin Chen swung his right hand, throwing the knife he had just taken from a man in black toward the sniper’s position.

The sniper’s face instantly turned pale; he could never have anticipated that his position had already been discovered.

What stunned him even more was that Lin Chen was a full four hundred meters away, yet the knife he threw was swift and fierce, homing in like it had a tracking device, hurling the cold gleam of its blade directly at him.

The sniper’s face changed drastically, and he rolled away to the side.

Thwack!

The knife nailed itself precisely into the spot where the sniper had just been.

Looking at the knife embedded in the stone pavement, the sniper was sweat-drenched with fear, ”Good lord, this guy is even more accurate than a sniper rifle.”

At this moment, as he watched Lin Chen fighting with several comrades not far away, the sniper’s expression grew increasingly grave.

Meanwhile, Lin Chen had already launched a fierce attack on the three men, with a barrage of punches, making them retreat again and again.

Bang!

In just a few exchanges, one of the men in black was hit by Lin Chen’s fist, and a powerful burst of energy surged into his body, knocking him out cold.

Almost at the same time, Lin Chen grabbed the falling knife from the man’s hand and, turning back with a quick slash, blood splattered as the man in black who had been preparing to sneak up on him from behind was now on the ground with his throat cut.

In an instant, of the four assassins only one remained, and he had already decided not to continue the fight, turning to run.

But before he could take five steps, he was struck in the heart by a knife thrown by Lin Chen and fell dead on the spot.

This was truly a one-sided slaughter; from four men ambushing Lin Chen to the end of the fight, it took less than a minute.

Having dealt with the four ambush assassins, Lin Chen hooked the corner of his mouth with a sneer, his eyes fixed on the southwest corner of the pharmaceutical factory.

At that moment, the sniper was lying there, completely hidden in the darkness, surrounded by cover, a spot that would be hard to spot even in daylight.

What horrified the sniper was that through the scope, he could clearly see that Lin Chen’s gaze was locked onto his position, and he was even sneering at him contemptuously.

”This bastard, he’s like a devil.”

At that moment, the sniper was enveloped by a wave of fear, his face twisted with ferocity as he pulled the trigger.

But as the gunshot rang out, there was no sign of Lin Chen’s figure at the previous location.
