Super Strong Little Divine Farmer

Chapter 588: Chapter 589: Becoming a Disciple

However, as soon as he finished speaking, a figure suddenly fell to his knees in front of Lin Chen.

The members of the Pan family were immediately dumbstruck. Just moments ago, Pan Li had said that Lin Chen wasn’t worthy of his kneeling, yet now the person kneeling before Lin Chen was a thousand times more eminent than Pan Li.

The Pan family members watched in shock as Zhang Chu, a hugely respected figure in the Chinese medicine community of China, knelt down in front of Lin Chen.

At this moment, everyone was in disarray.

Zhang Chu was none other than the chairman of the Chinese Medicine Association in T Country; even the Pan family patriarch, Pan Kun, would treat him with the utmost respect.

In the Chinese community of T Country, Zhang Chu was held in very high esteem, and yet such a significant figure was now kneeling in front of Lin Chen.

”Doctor Zhang, what are you doing?”

”Yes, Doctor Zhang, why are you kneeling to a junior?”

The Pan family members were all shaken, and Pan Li, standing to one side, was as stiff as a clay statue, rooted to the spot.

However, at this moment, Zhang Chu’s eyes shimmered with fervor as he excitedly addressed Lin Chen: ”Mr. Lin, I’ve been studying traditional Chinese medicine since I was young, with the hope of promoting it far and wide. I wonder if I may have the honor of becoming your student?”

”What?”

The Pan family members looked at each other with expressions of astonishment on their faces.

”Good heavens, the renowned Master Zhang Chu wants to take a youngster as his master; this is utterly absurd.”

”You want to take me as your master?” Lin Chen glanced at Zhang Chu.

”Indeed, Mr. Lin, I wonder if my aptitude is sufficient to qualify?” Zhang Chu’s face bore a nervous expression, not unlike that of a student about to hear their college entrance examination results.

Lin Chen looked at him for a moment before shaking his head: ”I’m sorry, but your qualifications are too mediocre to be my disciple.”

Boom!

The members of the Pan family were thrown into chaos again: ”What, Master Zhang Chu is a pillar of T Country’s traditional Chinese medical community, and you dare to say he’s not qualified to be your disciple; isn’t that a bit too arrogant?”

By now, the senior Pan family members were looking at Lin Chen with complicated expressions on their faces, devoid of the disdain they had shown earlier.

A hint of disappointment appeared on Zhang Chu’s face as he sighed, ”Mr. Lin, I understand.”

Lin Chen glanced at Zhang Chu and continued, ”With your aptitude, you can only learn up to the eighth needle of Hua Tuo’s acupuncture techniques. I can teach you those first eight needles, though.”

”Really?” Zhang Chu’s complexion grew excited once more.

It was known that if one could master the first eight needles of Hua Tuo’s techniques, even though it couldn’t claim to bring the dead back to life or mend severed bones, it was enough to become a towering figure within the Chinese medical community in China.

”Thank you, Mr. Lin!” Zhang Chu knelt on the ground and prostrated himself, kowtowing three times with a bang-bang-bang, directly to Lin Chen.

Lin Chen quickly helped the elderly Zhang to his feet, saying evenly, ”There’s no need for this, Elder Zhang.”

Zhang Chu shook his head: ”No, no, from now on, you are my esteemed teacher.”

On hearing Zhang Chu’s words, there was an uproar in the Pan household; Lin Chen, though young, had become the teacher of a medical authority in T Country, an idea that was almost inconceivable and hard to believe.

Pan Li’s expression grew uglier and uglier, and turning to Zhang Chu, he said, ”Grandfather Zhang, don’t be deceived by this youngster. My grandfather still hasn’t awakened; it’s likely that this kid was just showing off for attention.”

”Slap!”

Unexpectedly, Zhang Chu gave Pan Li a slap across the face.

”Do not disrespect my teacher. I hope you’ll keep your promise in a moment, or you know the consequences.”

As time ticked by, there was still no sign of Pan Kun awakening; in fact, he seemed even worse than before, almost like a dead person.

A cold smile appeared on Pan Li’s face: ”Now you see, everyone—this kid is just a charlatan who’s killed my grandfather.”

”Yeah, I knew this kid was unreliable—what does a youngster know about treating illnesses!” Pan Qiang snorted coldly.

”Old Zhang, you must have been deceived, how could a little brat possess Hua Tuo’s ultimate skill?” Third Master also said with a sneer.

At this moment, Zhang Chu’s face also showed a trace of disappointment, but he did not speak, instead, he stared at Pan Kun on the sickbed.

”Someone, grab this bratty kid and take him to the police station.”

It had only been half an hour when Pan Li could no longer suppress a sneer.

”Kid, you’ve killed my grandfather; you might as well spend your next life in a prison cell,” said Pan Li, sneering at Lin Chen who was surrounded by the security guards.

At this time, the faces of everyone in the Pan family were very ugly. If Old Pan died, it would mean a major crisis for the Pan family, and they might even be relegated to a second or third-tier family, and all of this was caused by this guy.

”What’s the rush, there are still ten seconds left,” Lin Chen said calmly.

Ten!

Nine!

Eight!

...

Just as Lin Chen counted down to one, suddenly, amid a bout of violent coughing, Pan Kun actually opened his murky old eyes.

”He’s awake, he’s really awake!” Everyone’s faces showed expressions of surprise.

”Dad, how do you feel?” Pan Qiang quickly came to Pan Kun’s side.

Looking around, Pan Kun said, ”I feel very comfortable all over, as if I’ve become ten years younger.”

At that moment, Pan Kun’s gaze fell on Zhang Chu, and he said excitedly, ”Thank you, Old Brother Zhang, it’s all thanks to you that my life was saved.”

Zhang Chu gave a wry smile, ”Brother, it wasn’t me who cured your illness, it was my master!”

As he spoke, Zhang Chu turned to look for Lin Chen, but Lin Chen was nowhere to be found in the crowd.

At this moment, Pan Jing said indifferently, ”Mr. Lin has already left, oh and he asked me to leave a message for Pan Li.”

Pan Li was stunned for a moment, relieved that he wouldn’t have to call that guy grandpa and lose face.

Pan Jing gave Pan Li a cold look and said, ”Lin Chen said you’re such trash that you’re not fit to be his grandson.”

”What?” Hearing Pan Jing’s words, Pan Li’s face turned ashen.

”That bastard,” Pan Li couldn’t help but curse.

But no sooner had his voice faded than Pan Qiang delivered a resounding slap to his face, ”You bastard, Mr. Lin is an extraordinary recluse; befriending him definitely could have taken our Pan family to the next level, but because of you, you bastard, you’ve offended him.”

Zhang Chu also sighed, ”Yes, the Pan family has lost an opportunity to climb higher.”

Hearing Zhang Chu’s words, the Pan family members glared at Pan Li, their expressions almost as if they wanted to eat him alive.

Meanwhile, Lin Chen had already left the Pan residence. He had just contacted Wei Ling, and the two had agreed to visit the injured employees at the hospital together.

Now, Lin Chen could be considered one of the shareholders of the bar, and his medical skills could help the employees recover faster.

Lin Chen took a taxi to the Man City Hospital, and as he entered the ward, he saw Wei Ling sitting on a hospital bed chatting with a few employees.

Seeing Lin Chen, Wei Ling’s face showed a peculiar expression, ”Kid, you were out all night again yesterday, Jia Yi is already furious, you need to exercise some restraint!”

Lin Chen’s face reddened, ”Sister, I didn’t, I was treating someone yesterday.”

”You know how to treat people?” Wei Ling said, clearly skeptical.

”Wei Ling?”

At that moment, a shout rang out, and an excited doctor in a white coat walked in.
