Super Strong Little Divine Farmer

Chapter 591: Chapter 592: The Strange Case

”Everybody get down!” Lin Chen shouted at the crowd, snatching a dagger from the body of a fallen gangster.

”What the hell is going on?” two gangsters holding guns were completely baffled, hiding behind a sofa.

”Aren’t they on the same side? Why are they turning on each other?”

At this moment, the two gangsters were thoroughly depressed, having no idea whom to attack, so they simply stayed hidden behind the sofa.

Just then, suddenly a figure rushed towards them.

”Damn it!”

The moment they raised their guns, they felt a warmth in their necks, and blood sprayed out as both gangsters collapsed to the ground with a thud.

”Report, it’s not good, gunshots have been heard in the hospital!” a policeman rushed into the command vehicle and reported in a hurry.

”What? It’s not time yet, how could those bastards have started already?” Qima’s face turned even uglier.

”Move out now, storm in,” Qima quickly ordered.

In a moment, SWAT and armed police rushed en masse, storming the hospital.

By this time, the hospital was a scene of carnage, but to all the police’s surprise, except for a few injured hostages, all the dead were gangsters.

The most unlucky one inside was Dr. Luo Li. Having no cover around him and being in between two groups of robbers, his legs were shot multiple times, and it looked like he might have to rely on a wheelchair for the rest of his life.

”What’s going on here, why did the gangsters suddenly start fighting among themselves?” the police who stormed in were all flummoxed.

Qima walked into the hospital and, seeing the scene before her, was also completely dumbfounded.

She could never have imagined that her first crisis as the chief of police would pass so easily.

At this point, Qima suddenly saw a familiar face, Lin Chen.

”Could it be because of him?” Qima wondered.

Because according to eyewitness accounts, it was when these gangsters got close to Lin Chen that they began to react abnormally.

Qima pulled Lin Chen to a secluded spot and asked, ”Lin Chen, did you do this?”

Lin Chen looked innocent: ”No, I just squatted there the whole time, nearly scared out of my wits.”

”Hmph, as if I’d believe you,” Qima said with a glare.

Lin Chen wasn’t even afraid of the Ice King, let alone these robbers, and Qima believed that it would have been easy for Lin Chen to deal with these gangsters if he wanted to.

However, the police did capture a live one, but this guy insisted that it was being touched by Chief Qima’s righteousness and suddenly developing a conscience that made him turn against the other gangsters.

The next day, the tale of the beautiful police chief became the talk of the town.

After watching the news, Lin Chen couldn’t help but smile, but his curiosity about Yue Lai grew stronger.

Xu Jiayi went to work, and Wei Ling was busy with the affairs of Entertainment City; Lin Chen, bored at home, decided to go out for a walk.

Just as he stepped out the door, a police car drove up.

The car window rolled down, and a beautiful woman stuck her head out—it was Qima.

”Oh, the beautiful chief is out patrolling herself!” Lin Chen teased with a smile.

Qima gave Lin Chen a glare: ”I came out especially to find you.”

”Looking for me? I already told you I had nothing to do with that case the other day. It was really them fighting among themselves,” Lin Chen said with a smile.

”Hmph, I’ll believe that you had nothing to do with it when hell freezes over. Anyway, I came to ask for your help,” Qima said with a smile.

”What do you need help with?” Lin Chen was momentarily startled.

”Get in the car first,” Qima told Lin Chen.

After Lin Chen got into the car, Qima said, ”I want you to help me look into Yasin’s case.”

”Isn’t Yasin just someone who delivered some gifts? Is it really that serious?” Lin Chen said with a smile.

”Delivering gifts, if it were just as simple as delivering gifts, would those thugs go to such lengths to hijack a hospital to exchange him?” Qima sighed.

”What’s the real deal with Yasin?” Lin Chen asked curiously.

Qima said, ”The money Yasin gave to Wadi was said to be a bribe, but actually, it was money for buying people.”

”What do you mean, money for buying people?” Lin Chen was taken aback upon hearing this.

During Wadi’s time as the official, he collaborated with a monastery to establish a drug rehabilitation center, but our investigation found that everyone sent to the rehab center had disappeared.

According to our investigation, the number has reached more than three hundred people.

And since most of these people were addicts, mostly abandoned by their families, even if they died, it was assumed they died outside due to their addiction, and no one pursued it.

”These people are neither seen alive nor found dead, and we once suspected they were killed by traffickers specialized in selling organs. But recently, in the outskirts of Man City, there was a bizarre case where all the children in an orphanage were murdered, with their hearts all missing. And through investigation, we found that the people who entered that orphanage were actually from the drug rehab center.”

”Is there really such a thing?” Lin Chen’s face showed a look of anger.

”Not even sparing the children in the orphanage, these bastards are absolutely depraved.”

”What’s even more baffling is that, not far from the orphanage, we found evidence of a fight. We discovered several pieces of a corpse, and after testing, we found these pieces had once been frozen, implying that they could very likely have been killed by the Ice King,” Qima said earnestly.

”It’s because of these corpse pieces that you were sure that they were people who had disappeared from the rehab center,” Lin Chen inquired.

”Exactly, the case is highly classified. I wanted to keep investigating, but my superiors decided to close the case and forbade any further inquiry,” Qima said with a sigh.

”So, Yasin is the only lead?” Lin Chen took a deep breath.

Qima nodded, ”Correct, I personally interrogated Yasin, but he refuses to say anything.”

Coldness flashed in Lin Chen’s eyes, ”Then I’ll join you, and I will make him talk.”

”Really?” Qima couldn’t help but feel elated at Lin Chen’s words.

Qima drove, but instead of heading to the prison, they went to a military hospital.

”Yasin isn’t being held in prison?” Lin Chen frowned.

Qima sighed, ”He was in prison, but just yesterday the guy suddenly suffered from gastritis, so we had no choice but to send him to the hospital.”

Seeing the worried look in Lin Chen’s eyes, Qima smiled, ”Don’t worry, I’ve arranged a full police detail, and the deputy chief himself is leading the team. Nothing will go wrong.”

Lin Chen and Qima entered the hospital, and Lin Chen couldn’t help but frown, ”Qima, is this what you called ’nothing will go wrong’?”

In the hospital doorway stood two young plainclothes policemen who looked lackadaisical, flirting with a nurse.

The two standing at the door were even smoking and chatting, without any sign of vigilance.

Qima’s face also darkened, as this was not the arrangement she had discussed with the deputy chief, Nakka.

”That bastard, I’ll settle things with him later,” Qima cursed under her breath.

Just then, a woman dressed in a nurse’s uniform walked past Lin Chen.

Although they merely brushed past each other, Lin Chen’s gaze sharpened because he could sense a strong killing intent emanating from her.
