Super Strong Little Divine Farmer

Chapter 592: Chapter 593: The Mole

This nurse is suspicious, Lin Chen’s eyes narrowed slightly.

The nurse pushed the cart towards Yasin’s ward, but the policemen were either flirting or chatting, completely unaware of the impending danger.

Lin Chen felt secretly fortunate that he had arrived just in time; if he had been even a few minutes late, they would probably have found only a corpse.

Relying on a few policemen to stop the assassin was, frankly, a joke.

”What’s wrong with Lin Chen?” Qima asked, noting Lin Chen’s odd expression.

”There’s something wrong with that nurse,” Lin Chen whispered.

”What?” Qima reached for her gun, but Lin Chen stopped her.

”Don’t startle the snake, I’ll handle it,” Lin Chen whispered, pressing her hand.

Lin Chen silently followed behind the assassin when suddenly the assassin stopped.

A grave look flashed in the nurse’s eyes; the four policemen posed no threat to her, but she had felt something strange when she had passed by Lin Chen, and this feeling had grown stronger when Lin Chen followed.

Luosi was an experienced assassin who possessed a peculiar ability—her heightened sense of awareness.

Using this sense, Luosi had already avoided numerous crises, thus she trusted it completely; the person behind her was dangerous.

Lin Chen also frowned when he saw the assassin stop; although they were close, the bustling crowd around them meant that if he couldn’t land a hit immediately, the assassin might take hostages or escape through a window.

The distance between Luosi and Lin Chen was about four or five meters, neither of them moved, and time seemed to stand still for a moment.

Just then, Lin Chen made up his mind, after such a long standoff, his opponent must have noticed him.

Therefore, Lin Chen decided to strike first; his body dashed forward like lightning, heading straight for the nurse.

Luosi’s reaction was equally swift; she didn’t hesitate for a moment before making her choice.

Although Luosi couldn’t gauge the full extent of Lin Chen’s abilities, the more unknown it was, the more unsettled she felt; as soon as Lin Chen made his move, she felt a heavy sense of the dangerous momentum behind her.

Luosi leaped up, pushing off with her feet, and the cart instantly crashed towards Lin Chen.

Lin Chen hurdled over the cart with a steeplechase jump, but just as his feet touched the ground, two IV bottles flew towards him and smashed on the floor.

”Pffsh!”

Smoke swirled up from the ground instantaneously.

”Damn!”

Although Lin Chen was still able to lock onto Luosi with his x-ray vision, the distance between them had increased, and she had already jumped down the stairs.

Even more cunningly, she shouted as she ran, ”Run, there’s a robber on the second floor!”

Since the last robbery incident had just ended, everyone was like a frightened bird, and the smoke swirling on the second floor added to the chaos.

The crowd was desperately trying to flee; by the time Lin Chen reached the downstairs, the nurse was nowhere to be seen.

”Damn, you run fast,” Lin Chen said as he looked at the chaotic crowd and sighed, heading back to the second floor.

Not far away, several police officers had drawn their guns, their faces tense.

Seeing Lin Chen approaching, these officers suddenly lost their temper, ”Stop, don’t move, or I’ll shoot.”

Lin Chen looked both amused and exasperated, and Qima’s little face turned red with anger, ”Put down your guns, he’s one of us.”

”How is it? Is there any danger here?” Lin Chen asked Qima hastily.

”No, no one has appeared around here.” Qima nodded and said.

”Let’s go inside.” Lin Chen nodded and walked into the hospital room with Qima.

As soon as he entered the hospital room, Lin Chen frowned, ”Why aren’t there any police on duty inside the hospital room?”

”I did arrange it, and personally instructed them,” Qima’s expression also turned ugly.

But when the two walked into the hospital room, their expressions changed instantly.

The window was open, and Yasin was already lying in a pool of blood, his face pale. Lin Chen touched him and he had long since stopped breathing.

Clearly, the opponent had killed Yasin by entering through the window during the recent chaos.

Qima’s face turned livid with anger as she coldly asked, ”Is this how you protect a prisoner? I told you to protect him with all your might, yet you only have four people, and there’s not even a single person in the hospital room, where the hell is that bastard Naka?”

At this moment, Qima was extremely angry, as she had personally arranged the security, demanding the full deployment of the guard squad, and Naka had personally led the team. But now, out of over twenty people in the guard squad, only four were on duty, and Naka was nowhere to be seen.

Then a police officer whispered, ”We were all on duty, just now Vice Director Naka came to inspect the work and felt that the brothers were too exhausted, so he took everyone out for a meal.”

”Bastard, do over twenty people eat together? Get that bastard Naka back here,” Qima said furiously.

Soon, Naka rushed back with a group of policemen, looking flustered, and everyone was stunned to see the corpse on the bed.

Qima glared at Naka with a furious expression, ”Director Naka, how did I deploy the work? I said this is an important prisoner who must be guarded with full force, with everyone on duty, how did you handle it? Please give me a reasonable explanation.”

Naka nodded awkwardly, ”Chief Qima, I just saw the brothers had been watching for several days and were too tired, so I wanted to treat everyone to a meal. I didn’t expect such a thing to happen, the responsibility is mine, I didn’t take it seriously, I’m willing to accept the punishment.”

”You!” Qima’s face turned even more purple with rage.

This case, Yasin was an important clue, but now the person was dead and the clue was lost. Yet this guy spoke so lightly, as if that was the end of it.

Lin Chen squinted at Naka and said coldly, ”This is not a matter that can be settled by a punishment. I suspect you are the assassin’s inside man, which means you are an accomplice to the murderer.”

Upon hearing Lin Chen’s words, the entire hospital room fell silent, and everyone’s gaze turned to Lin Chen.

”Who the hell are you? How dare you spout nonsense here, and also this is a murder scene, how can you let unrelated people in?” Naka said angrily.

Lin Chen smiled faintly and showed a work ID, ”I am from the special unit, here is my work ID, Naka, you are suspected of being an inside man for the assassin and are under arrest.”

”You, what right do you have to say I’m an inside man?” Naka roared furiously.

”Okay, if you’re not the inside man, why eat early or late, just at this time? And according to Chief Qima’s arrangement, there should be at least four police officers inside, why did you arrange none? Of course, you might say you were careless, no problem, we’ll check your bank account to see if any money has been deposited recently, then everything will be clear.” Lin Chen looked at Naka with a grin.

At this moment, although Naka tried to appear calm on the surface, his heart was already in turmoil.
