Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Gan City.

The G6011 and G37 transport hub is only about two kilometers from National Highway 323.

There’s a Yintong driving school near here.

Li Yu brought Dapao, Guo Peng, and others to this place.

This location was the agreed spot for the fifth Satellite City by Li Yu and Second Uncle, a full fifteen kilometers from the city center of Gan City.

The Satellite City was chosen here not only because there was already a driving school and it is a transportation hub, but also due to the distance.

Each Satellite City must ensure communication so that messages from all locations can be conveyed to the Big Camphor Tree Base.

However, there are only four military radios—one in Oil City, two more at the Big Camphor Tree Base, and one reserved for future long-distance missions.

So, for Gan City, only walkie-talkies are available.

Even with the amplification effect of repeaters, the maximum communication distance is less than 100 kilometers.

The fifth Satellite City was chosen here; from Xin City to Gan City, it’s only a few dozen kilometers and walkie-talkie communication can still be used normally.

Li Yu got out of the car and looked at the driving school before him.

The driving school is surrounded by residential houses, with a circle of houses around it, but it has the advantage of the school’s wall being taller than they imagined.

”Guo Peng, this Satellite City is entrusted to you to establish. It’s the farthest from the Big Camphor Tree Base, so be careful in everything. But if anything happens, just contact the base, which will be your strongest backing.”

Guo Peng, having roughly understood the situation on the way, nodded quickly upon hearing Li Yu’s words.

To him, Li Yu’s trust made him very happy. Staying in the Outer City was indeed stable, but people need to do things.

Since he and Xiao Hu and other newcomers joined the Outer City, there haven’t been any major tasks for them, which usually involved senior members like Luo, Old Bi, and Ju Tianrui.

Simply enjoying the benefits of the Outer City without contributing always makes people feel uneasy.

Now Li Yu finally assigned tasks to them, which not only faced no resistance but also filled them with motivation.

According to the base regulations, entering the Big Camphor Tree Base requires all personnel except on-duty and some special Inner City personnel to hand over firearms.

However.

Outer City personnel going out have the right to carry firearms, so Li Yu equipped them with automatic rifles, walkie-talkies, and a set of anti-explosion suits.

This was not only for their safety but also to enhance their strength and provide better protection for the Big Camphor Tree Base.

The combined number of people in the Inner and Outer City now exceeds 500.

This scale is quite large, with Outer City personnel making up more than 300 of them.

Any cooperative personnel entering the Big Camphor Tree Base will have a study manual to learn how to use firearms, though Ju Tianrui and his group can skip this step.

But for some, it’s still necessary to learn.

In Guo Peng’s team, also with twenty to thirty people, they all came here to establish the fifth Satellite City together.

After inspecting the driving school for a while, Li Yu took Dapao, Li Tie, and others for a tour around Gan City.

Yugu Platform still stands, not blown away by the typhoon.

From a distance, the river still flows quietly under the sunlight.

”Let’s return to the base!” Li Yu said to Dapao.

Dapao stepped on the gas, and the armored RV roared towards the Big Camphor Tree Base.

In the car.

Li Yu quietly pondered some things.

Now that the typhoon has passed, everything seems to have returned to calm.

But Li Yu knew that the challenges would only increase from here.

Therefore, during this rare period of calm, they must expand the power of the Big Camphor Tree Base as much as possible.

In Oil City, Old Bi is stationed, and it has initially stabilized.

Yet, the matter of the Transfer Station has yet to progress. After the typhoon, clearing a passable road from the Big Camphor Tree Base to Xin City is a troublesome task.

They can’t rely solely on helicopters; there is only one, with limited capacity. If they want to transport oil produced in Oil City, relying on just one helicopter is completely unrealistic.

It seems necessary to immediately send a convoy to Oil City to transport the oil and concurrently establish the Transfer Station.

But, who would be best to send?

Looking out of the window, Li Yu contemplated quietly.

Now, with Old Bi in Oil City, Old Lv in the Inner City needed to guard the base, and Uncle controlling the overall base security.

Thus, the choice must be made from the more experienced and stronger individuals in the Outer City.

The candidates currently available are Ju Tianrui, Xiao Jun, Luo, and Lao Zhou, who are seasoned soldiers with rich combat experience.

After thinking for a long time, Li Yu felt Xiao Jun was the most suitable. On one hand, he had been to Oil City and was familiar with the route.

On the other hand, Li Yu had a good impression of Xiao Jun; though reticent, he was very reliable. He had also been with the Big Camphor Tree Base for quite some time.

After deciding on this matter, Li Yu recalled the military map found in a military district in Zheng City last time.

Since finding two infantry fighting vehicles and a helicopter in that military district, Li Yu had tasted success.

With infantry fighting vehicles, they can perfectly assist tanks. An infantry fighting vehicle generally follows a tank’s lead, with the tank protecting the infantry fighting vehicle, and the infantry fighting vehicle protecting the tank.
