Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Turning his head to see there were no zombies behind him, Qu Xing continued, ”Be careful, there are zombies on the wall, probably blown up by the typhoon. We need to hurry up and clear the drainage. Let’s split into two routes, we can’t regroup now anyway.

Circle around, we’ll meet at the back.”

Yu An nodded with lingering fear, ”Alright.”

Then he kicked a zombie that was just a meter away from him off the wall.

Splash!

The zombie fell into the water, splashing high.

They split into two routes and started clearing the drainage.

As the drainage was cleared and the gates opened, the water level in Oil City visibly started to drop.

Forty minutes later.

Old Bi and the others saw the water level drop to calf height; at this height, zombies could no longer hide.

Even if there were zombies in the water, they could see them.

They had guns and people, not fearing zombies, but they feared zombies they couldn’t see in the water.

Having been cooped up indoors for days, the crowd rushed out from the houses.

Starting to clean up the zombies.

But when they got outside, they found there weren’t as many zombies as they imagined.

During the typhoon storm, their buildings were surrounded by zombies.

How come there were so few now.

Until Old Bi and his group reached the Southwest Corner.

And saw a pile of zombie corpses, scattered zombie limbs everywhere.

The helicopter hovering overhead was still constantly attacking and killing zombies.

Third Uncle saw Old Bi’s group arriving, immediately picked up the walkie-talkie to contact Old Bi.

”Clear a landing area quickly, we need to land!”

If they hadn’t refueled halfway, they would’ve run out of oil long ago.

Hovering in the air consumes more fuel than flying.

When a helicopter hovers, to maintain stability, it uses the tail rotor to counteract torque from the main rotor, consuming about 30% of total power.

These forty minutes have already made the fuel gauge start warning.

Old Bi, upon hearing Third Uncle, immediately directed Zuo Ruxue and others to clear a wide central area for the helicopter to land.

When the typhoon hit, all sorts of debris were blown in, the ground had to be cleared; if not, with uneven ground, the helicopter couldn’t land well.

Then, he instructed team members to immediately deal with the remaining less than thirty zombies.

And start cleanup of the entire Oil City, ensuring no corner was left with zombies.

Soon, Zuo Ruxue and others cleared a central area, Jackals landed the helicopter steadily in the center.

With some supports under the helicopter, even though not all water was drained, they could still land.

Over time, the water in Oil City was soon drained completely.

And all the zombies inside were killed.

Vehicles outside in Oil City were soaked, most had problems, so they had to have some repair the vehicles.

Others cleared mud and trash from the ground.

Only the two armored transporters and several trucks, sealed in a space, were spared trouble.

And the twenty cars inside two buildings they moved indoors, raised them as water flooded in.

Even so, for them.

This typhoon caused great loss.

Third Uncle watched them load zombies onto trucks to burn outside.

He recalled burning zombies in the base generator, which could generate power that way.

But considering they produced oil here, it wasn’t necessary.

Diesel generation alone was enough for them.

Big Camphor Tree Base.

The greenhouse was half repaired, An Ya learned from experience that greenhouses near windbreak walls weren’t damaged, suggesting to build windbreak walls around greenhouses.

Li Yu discussed with Ding Jiu and decided to adopt the method.

Add some windbreak walls, not too thick, not to mention if the typhoon hits again, this won’t happen again.

Meanwhile, Mountain Pond was already dug out.

Many cooperative personnel repaired houses first,

then started tasks, earning points, trading for food.

Additionally, Li Yu discussed with Second Uncle to start five Satellite City plans.

The current main need is gathering building materials.

What Mountain Pond Reservoir needs most now are stones, there’s a quarry outside Big Camphor Tree Base.

Everything is proceeding in an orderly fashion.

Qingyang did another acupuncture session for Grandpa, who looked much better.

He spoke more vigorously.

With these days of contact, Li Yuan and Qingyang became more familiar.

Qingyang, however, was very straightforward, always very polite.

Li Yuan had a gentle temperament, timid before Doomsday, later grew braver with Li Yu’s urging.

Qingyang had a deep impression of Li Yuan as filial and gentle.

With an auspicious round face.

Both were quite introverted, not ones to actively start conversations.

So after acupuncture, this scene reoccurred.

”Daoist Qingyang, thank you for coming again.”

”It’s nothing, it’s my duty.”

”Still, thank you.”

”Not at all, you’re too polite.”

”Thanks so much, we might need you again later.”

”I should be the one thanking you, thanks to your brother for saving me.”

”That was his doing, not related to me, anyhow thank you.”

”Oh, you’re welcome.”

”Thanks, thank you.”

”It’s nothing, it’s my duty.”

.....

They began another round of mutual gratitude.

In the medical room, Second Aunt and Meng Yu stared in disbelief.

Feeling slightly confused: Is it really necessary to be so polite?

Hmm, something’s not right.
