Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Second Uncle and Uncle both seemed to agree with Li Yu’s idea.

In the post-apocalyptic world, having a safe shelter is extremely important for many survivors.

Having five outposts can strengthen Big Camphor Tree Base’s control over the surrounding areas. Third Uncle, who had been silent, finally spoke up.

”I have no objections, but how do you plan to choose the locations for the outposts, Xiao Yu?”

Upon hearing this, Li Yu thought for a moment and then unfolded the map.

Pointing to a traffic junction approximately eight kilometers north of Big Camphor Tree Base, he said, ”As I just mentioned, we should prioritize transportation nodes and adjust based on the actual situation on the ground.

There should be one outpost on each side of the north-south highway.

The northern one is at the intersection leading to the neighboring County, and the southern one, seven kilometers away, is at the intersection of the highway and the national road.

Apart from these two outposts, there is also a need for one around Xin City, and I’ve chosen this location.”

Everyone, including Third Uncle, looked at the place Li Yu pointed to, the suburban industrial park.

Upon seeing it, everyone seemed deep in thought.

Industrial parks are usually some distance from the city center and are located in places with convenient transportation. Most importantly, they often have perimeter walls, which can significantly reduce construction costs.

Second Uncle nodded with a smile and said, ”This is a good spot. We can relocate the outpost originally in the city to this location. If I remember correctly, Xiao Hu and the others were stationed at this industrial park once.”

”Yes, I’ve been to the industrial park before. It’s a pretty good location. As for the fourth and fifth outposts, what are your thoughts?” Li Yu leaned back in his chair and said.

He actually didn’t want to spread the outposts too widely, but from the perspective of demand, as many cooperative personnel and extra staff go out to collect supplies, their activity radius will naturally expand over time.

After all, supplies will gradually dwindle.

After two or three years of continuous collecting and natural disasters, there are fewer usable resources.

Second Uncle pondered for a moment and slowly said: ”I think we definitely need one in Gan City to increase our strategic depth. Besides, Gan City is not far from Xin City. We can move the original Gan City outpost here.”

As he spoke, he pointed to a driving school not far from the intersection.

According to their current strategy, it’s essential to save on construction costs where possible and target transportation nodes.

The location Second Uncle pointed out is precisely where Xin City and Gan City connect, and even leads to intersections toward other provinces.

Crossroads.

Third Uncle saw the place and nodded approvingly, ”This spot is excellent.”

He often carried out tasks outside and frequently had to spend the night. For overnight stays, he usually chose places with walls, moderate in size, and convenient transportation.

Driving schools are often a good choice for this.

Following that, everyone conducted a review and inspection of the fifth satellite city’s selection.

The five small satellite cities decided upon still need to be physically inspected.

After all, while they might have passed by some of these places before, no one knows what they look like now after the typhoon.

The five small satellite cities are centered around Big Camphor Tree.

Three of them are relatively close to Big Camphor Tree Base.

Northern Micro Satellite City: Located in the northwest direction of Big Camphor Tree Base, it is at a crossroad eight kilometers north along the national road.

Southern Satellite City: Located in the southwest direction of Big Camphor Tree Base, it is at the highway and national road intersection seven kilometers south along the national road.

Eastern Satellite City: Located southeast of Big Camphor Tree Base, at the intersection of the national road and a provincial road, it is a straight-line distance of only six kilometers from Big Camphor Tree Base but about ten kilometers if taking twists along the national road; if using back roads, it could be about six to seven kilometers.

Xin City Industrial Park Satellite City: Located on the edge of the national road, within Xin City Industrial Park, 38 kilometers from Big Camphor Tree Base.

Gan City Driving School Satellite City: Located at the northern crossroads of Gan City, at Yintong Driving School, 60 kilometers from Xin City and about 100 kilometers from Big Camphor Tree Base.

Overall, the satellite cities in the north, south, and east, as shown on the map, form a distinct triangular pattern.

Big Camphor Tree Base is situated right in the center of this triangle.

If an enemy invades in force, they will inevitably have to use vehicles since heavy weapons can’t be carried manually.

If vehicles are needed, then they would have to pass through these traffic intersections, or else they would have to traverse through the mountainous and rural areas.

After outlining the structure of the five small satellite cities, Li Yu spoke to Third Uncle and the others: ”Additionally, I think we can start building the Fourth Outer City.”

The sudden statement left everyone a bit stunned.

After all, the Third Outer City had just been completed not long ago, and now they were already planning the construction of a Fourth Outer City?

When viewed from above based on the current state of Big Camphor Tree Base, it becomes evident.

Centered within the Inner City, a hundred meters to the east, lies a cliff.

In the south are the First and Second Outer Cities.

To the west is the Third Outer City.

And to the north is the back gate of the Inner City.

The walls of the Outer City are generally a few meters lower than the Inner City, but they are still thirty meters high.

According to Li Yu’s proposal, by constructing another Fourth Outer City,

the Inner City would be encircled by four Outer Cities and a cliff, significantly enhancing the safety factor.
