Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Li Yu looked at the progress and nodded satisfactorily.

It seems, at most ten days, the Third Outer City will be completed.

This is twice as fast as they expected.

He Chao, who had been following beside Li Yu, also felt happy in his heart seeing Li Yu’s smile at the Third Outer City.

”He Chao.”

”Director Li, go ahead.”

Li Yu suddenly pointed to the residential building in the Second Outer City and said: ”When I came over just now, I saw some windows were still open.

The weather is unpredictable now, and if by chance a storm blows in and overturns the power equipment inside, it will be troublesome.

Do this, over the next few days, find some time to have Lao Yi and the others reinforce all those windows, and preferably seal them.”

Upon hearing this, He Chao thought for a moment and said: ”Should we have Mr. Ding take a look? If it’s a reinforcement issue, Mr. Ding might have better suggestions; he’s more professional.”

Li Yu hesitated for a moment and said: ”That works, let him take a look and give some advice, but my requirement is that it must be stable enough not to let wind or rain in, that’s the bottom line, make sure you explain that to him.”

”Understood,” He Chao nodded, keeping it in mind.

For the current Big Camphor Tree Base, energy is extremely important.

Whether it’s fuel or electricity, both are crucial.

Especially electricity, with every section of the Big Camphor Tree Base using electricity, the mobile switch blade used to slaughter zombies consumes a large amount of electricity.

And now, as the base expands, the greenhouse requires electricity, and everything indeed needs electricity.

Diesel power generation is simply not practical; they don’t even have enough fuel for driving before conquering Oil City.

Although coal power generation is also a possibility, it’s basically unused now.

Solar power, originally occupying an absolutely dominant position, now sees its share in decline, and wind power generation is also on the decline.

Now the Zombie Generator accounts for more than sixty percent of all power generation, occupying an absolute dominant position.

The Zombie Generator must not fail!

Li Yu conducted routine inspections, observing the situation within the base along the wall.

Now the wall, except one side is a cliff, other directions can see both the inner and outer city.

Li Yu saw the open farm and felt something stir within him.

The farm nurtures quite a number of livestock, providing them with quality protein and meat food.

Currently, the roof of the farm has been reinforced, but the space between the wall and the roof is empty, ensuring air circulation, otherwise the farm would smell too bad.

Such reinforcement can fend off rain and snow.

However, blocking a violent typhoon is hard.

By chance, a single blow could lift the roof off.

No, this farm which hasn’t been noticed before must be reinforced and upgraded now.

Li Yu decided in his heart to discuss this matter with his father and have him deal with it.

He Chao accompanied Li Yu for a round, and Li Yu inquired about the situation within the base during his absence.

He Chao liked this aspect very much, considering Li Yu asking him this question as treating him as one of his own.

After chatting briefly, Li Yu returned to the guard room at the main gate of the wall.

He Chao had other matters to attend to, so Li Yu let him go.

After He Chao left, Second Uncle approached Li Yu, holding a notebook.

”Xiao Yu, there’s a matter awaiting your decision.”

Second Uncle said to Li Yu.

”Oh? What is it?” Li Yu asked, somewhat puzzled.

Second Uncle opened the notebook in his hand, densely filled with writing.

Especially divided into tables, Second Uncle pointed to the extra staff, group three, Zuo Ruxue.

”Their group has achieved entry points, and among the numerous extra staff, their group has the most points. Moreover, their group is quite special; all group members are women. Do you think we should arrange for them to enter the city next?”

Li Yu pondered upon hearing this.

Currently, if considering numerous cooperative and extra personnel, the male-to-female ratio at Big Camphor Tree Base is quite equal.

However, if counting only the inner and outer cities, the male-to-female ratio is quite skewed.

More men than women.

Especially in the outer city, apart from those initially following He Chao, including some women, and He Bing’s dozen female classmates.

The rest, like Ju Tianrui, Old Bi, Old Qin, they are mostly men.

The dominance of males is too apparent.

Moreover, the recently joined group of Zhu Xiao is entirely male, except Xiao Hu and Guo Peng’s groups at least include some females.

But if this continues long-term, the severely skewed male-to-female ratio actually disadvantages Big Camphor Tree Base’s development.

For long-term development, new babies must be born.

The newborn count in two or three years totals less than eight.

This was possible thanks to Li Hang and the group setting an example, giving many people the courage to have children, leading to this effect.

Though this situation is normal.

Afterall, during Doomsday, males indeed hold some physical advantages under normal circumstances.

And Big Camphor Tree Base’s upgrade system requires practical points and contributions for advancement.

Zuo Ruxue’s group, truth be told, has cooperated with Big Camphor Tree Base for a long time now.

In fact, just looking at the group number, among many groups, they are the third group to cooperate with Big Camphor Tree Base.

Plus, all their members are women, which is even more remarkable.

Li Yu recalled scenes regarding Zuo Ruxue’s group in his mind.

Although no massive contributions were made, minor contributions were constant.

When the Western Alliance arrived, their group also played a part.

But Li Yu recalled Zhu Xiao, Guo Peng, Xiao Hu and their teams.

They also joined for quite a while and underwent tests.

It’s definitely not possible to waive the test because of Zuo Ruxue’s gender.

That wouldn’t be fair to others.

Considering this, Li Yu pondered and said to Second Uncle:

”Zuo Ruxue’s group, now that their points have met the threshold, can be listed as candidates for entering the outer city, but the assessment, I believe, cannot be omitted.”

Second Uncle nodded, ”I agree with that; but what kind of assessment? Originally, there was a need to transport steel materials, so Zhu Xiao and Guo Peng went for it.

But, for Zuo Ruxue’s group, what tasks should they undertake?

And reasonably, accomplish fine tasks?”

Li Yu frowned, rubbing his chin.

Suddenly, he saw Dapao standing beside the helicopter.

His eyes lit up.

Got it!

Most people at Oil City are originally from Oil City Camp.
