Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

”Fire!” Luo shouted.

Boom!

A bomb hit the right side of the building less than a hundred meters away.

In an instant, that room exploded, with a torrent of construction debris cascading down.

Looking up, two bodies can be seen falling from there.

After this blast, angry howls of zombies echoed from several open-door houses nearby.

There were even zombies coming out of the houses.

Seeing the zombies emerge, the people in the vehicle quickly opened fire.

Bang bang bang bang!

Gunfire erupted loudly.

Li Yu had a thoughtful look on his face. It seemed that last night, the zombies did break in. Not only did they break in, but come dawn, they hid inside the houses.

Li Yu had brought nearly sixty people here, with over a dozen vehicles and five or six machine guns amidst the heavy gunfire.

Those zombies rushing out of the houses seemed desperate to die, being shot down by relentless bullets as soon as they reached the doorway.

Five minutes later, looking at the piles of zombie bodies around the buildings and on the street ahead, stacking up like small hills, Li Yu felt an underlying panic, realizing many zombies had charged in last night.

Scanning the scene, Li Yu thought for a moment before giving instructions to the group.

”Luo, the space inside here is too small for tanks and armored vehicles to demonstrate their power. You all go out and surround the entire Motorcycle Gang’s lair. Don’t let anyone or a single zombie escape.

Ju Tianrui, you take some people and clear these floors. Be cautious and wear anti-explosion suits before going in. I suspect there might still be people inside.”

”Got it.”

”Got it.”

Not ones for wasting words, the two immediately led their teams to carry out Li Yu’s orders.

Ju Tianrui and his team disembarked, each donned in anti-explosion suits and helmets. With these two layers of protection, resisting zombies shouldn’t be an issue unless someone ends up amidst a horde with depleted ammo and exhausted strength; usually, there wouldn’t be a problem.

Even when facing humans, although injuries are possible, vital areas of the body are reinforced on the anti-explosion suits, making it hard for a direct kill.

Ju Tianrui led thirty people, forming six cleaning teams of five each, heading toward the surrounding buildings.

After handling these arrangements, Li Yu instructed Dapao to park the vehicle and withdraw to await near the edge of the Motorcycle Gang’s lair.

Dapao watched Ju Tianrui and his team go off to clear the area, feeling a bit restless, and said to Li Yu, ”Brother Yu, let me join too. I’ve been driving nonstop these days; my legs are numb. I want to stretch my muscles.”

Li Gang beside him also chimed in, ”I’ll go with you.”

Li Yu glanced at them, then at Ju Tianrui and his team still clearing the area ahead. After some thought, he agreed, ”Alright, you can go.”

They wore anti-explosion suits, and with Ju Tianrui’s team, even if they encountered remaining Motorcycle Gang members, they would support each other at any sign of trouble, so there shouldn’t be any issues.

Upon Li Yu’s consent, the two put on their helmets. Dapao grabbed a gun as he got out of the vehicle, while Li Gang exited from another door, both running towards Ju Tianrui’s direction.

......

Meanwhile.

Inside the Motorcycle Gang’s lair, in the factory.

A short man named Jiu Ge quickly pressed his ear to the wall upon hearing gunfire outside.

The gunfire persisted for a solid five minutes, yet Jiu Ge still couldn’t fathom what was happening outside.

Standing up, he saw that over half of the zombies in the factory corridor had run out toward the gunfire outside.

Only about ten zombies remained, pressing their decayed faces against the iron bars, greedily eyeing those imprisoned inside.

Their decayed faces pressed so hard that they became misshapen.

One zombie even had its eyeball protrude and plop onto the ground.

But those imprisoned inside had no metal items on them to fend off these zombies.

The enslaved by the Motorcycle Gang weren’t allowed to carry any weapons, not even a stick.

After dawn, the zombies didn’t leave but instead hid in this corridor, preventing their escape.

Finally, there was commotion outside, but some zombies still hadn’t left.

Jiu Ge pondered for a long time but couldn’t deduce what was happening outside, so he approached Old Huang, who was dozing off by the wall.

”Old Huang.” Jiu Ge refrained from calling him ’Old Huang Head,’ as the nickname seemed disrespectful. After yesterday, Jiu Ge gained some admiration for Old Huang. He was a shrewd guy.

Jiu Ge liked dealing with smart people the most.

Upon hearing Jiu Ge, Old Huang slowly opened his eyes and looked at him curiously: ”Jiu Ge, what’s up?”

Jiu Ge pointed outside, ”Did you hear the gunfire out there?”

”I heard it. What’s up?” Old Huang squinted his eyes slightly, glancing at the zombies still pressed against the iron bars, and responded.

”Aren’t you curious about what’s happening out there?” Jiu Ge looked at him puzzled.

Old Huang grinned, revealing his two front teeth with a gap, and said, ”Whatever’s happening, it’s good for us!”

”Good? How so?” Feeling tired, Jiu Ge squatted down too.

As slaves, they were essentially disposable, getting food roughly once every three days, only because the Motorcycle Gang needed them to build the walls; otherwise, they wouldn’t get a morsel.
