Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Chapter 1337: Chapter 796: No Sleep Tonight!

”Okay.” Li Yu answered without hesitation.

Even without Old Bi saying it, Li Yu would give him these things. Without these weapons, the Oil City cannot be defended.

”The second demand, I need food. I’ve checked inside the Oil City, and it is possible to plant there. But now it’s already June, past the season, we can only build greenhouse sheds like at Big Camphor Tree Base.

Even if some other crops can be planted, it will take time to harvest them.”

Li Yu raised an eyebrow, looked at Old Bi, and said, ”Food, how much do you need?”

Old Bi thought for a moment and said, ”How about we leave all those we seized from the Motorcycle Gang?”

”Why do you need so much?” Li Yu frowned and said.

It’s dozens of tons of food; Old Bi has more than forty people stationed here, even adding people from the Original Oil City, it’s just a bit over a hundred people.

With each person consuming 1 pound of food per day, over a hundred people, that’s less than 120 pounds a day. In a year, it’s just 21 tons.

This food is enough for them to eat for two whole years.

Old Bi said with some embarrassment, ”In the past two years, there have been some natural disasters. Being far away from Big Camphor Tree Base, I always feel unsure, afraid of going hungry.”

Li Yu shook his head and said, ”I understand your feelings, but you can’t have so much food. At most, you’ll get three months of food. Now with the helicopters, traveling at 260 kilometers per hour, it only takes three hours to come over from Big Camphor Tree Base.

Moreover, the Mi-8 helicopter carries 12 tons. If you’re short on food here, they can send people to deliver food anytime from over there.

That’s how it is, this matter is non-negotiable.”

Even though Old Bi has been part of Big Camphor Tree Base for a long time, Li Yu still didn’t dare test people’s loyalties.

If it weren’t for knowing that there would be typhoon and rainstorms in some days, he might only leave two months of food.

After all, according to his original plan.

Using a shift system, personnel would be changed every two months.

When the time comes for personnel exchange, using the helicopter to take people there, they could conveniently bring a few tons of food too.

In the future, even if Oil City can achieve self-sufficiency and produce food, Li Yu would still transport the food produced there back to the base.

So that Oil City always maintains only two to three months of food supply.

Creating strong dependency of Oil City on Big Camphor Tree Base.

In a doomsday scenario, he dared not let power test people’s loyalties.

Seeing Li Yu’s firm attitude, Old Bi still wanted to strive a bit in his heart.

But he was afraid of raising Li Yu’s suspicion, so didn’t dare speak further. After all, he’s here for two months, and after that, he’ll return to Big Camphor Tree Base.

So, he nodded and said, ”Okay, as you say, I have no problem.”

Li Yu, seeing his willingness not to persist, nodded in satisfaction.

Then said, ”Just mentioned those people from Original Oil City, issue tasks to them starting tomorrow, they need to eat too, you should quickly prepare.”

Old Bi showed a bitter face, helplessly said, ”I don’t know the standard, previously your Second Uncle, the Internal Affairs Director, handled this, I don’t know about this criterion.”

Although Li Yu knew, explaining it takes a lot of time.

He knew Li Tie and Li Gang also knew these.

So he said, ”Later, find Li Gang and Li Tie, let them talk to you. I remember there’s a list, they have it. Adjust it according to Oil City here, like how much grain obtained by operating equipment for a day, how much you can get by building walls, collecting materials...etc.

Tonight you guys need to figure it out, no matter how late, bring it to me to verify, tomorrow start implementing.”

”So urgent?” Old Bi also just returned from Zheng City today, moved goods for a day, spent the whole day in transit, frankly speaking, he’s quite tired.

Li Yu nodded and said, ”People need to eat, right? Those people from Original Oil City are waiting for our exchange ratio.

Although we can directly give them food, rules can’t be broken, we must first establish the system.

Quickly handle it, later on, it’ll become much easier.”

Old Bi hammered his old waist, helplessly said, ”Alright, I’ll go find them.”

After speaking, he was about to lift his feet to walk towards Li Tie and them.

”Wait.” Li Yu stopped Old Bi.

Old Bi stopped, puzzled, looking at Li Yu.

”The positioning of Oil City is simple, it’s to supply stable oil to Big Camphor Tree Base. Unless necessary, you shouldn’t leave Oil City. Even if there’s an enemy, don’t go on the offensive.

If you encounter anyone coveting Oil City, immediately use the military radio to contact Big Camphor Tree Base. I can dispatch the helicopter to support within three to four hours at most.

Did you understand this?”

Old Bi stood straight, seriously said, ”Understood.”

”Hmm, the rest of what you need to do is actually just two points: one, guard Oil City well, rebuild the walls with those people.

Two, steadily produce oil, I will send people at fixed times to take the oil.”

”Got it.” Old Bi nodded, expression very serious.

Li Yu stared at him for a while, then said, ”Alright, go find Li Tie and them, remember to show me once the plan is ready.”

”Okay, I’ll go now?” Old Bi tentatively looked at Li Yu.

Li Yu nodded.

Seeing Li Yu nod, Old Bi finally started walking towards where Li Tie and his brother were.

Feeling sorrow in his heart, estimating no sleep tonight.

Establishing the system and discussing exchange ratios is extremely time-consuming. He’s already extremely tired now, but Li Yu said it needs to be done tonight.

So tired...

....

Li Yu watched Old Bi’s departing back, looking at the helicopter isolated by fences not far away, a slight smile appeared on his face.

It seems, with the helicopter, mobility has significantly improved.

Many things have become much easier.

Unfortunately, there’s only one, and some small issues still haven’t been repaired.
