Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Feeling the cold raindrops hitting his face, a slight smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.

Below, countless zombies were roaring, above, thunder and lightning flashed.

The storm raged in the wind.

He slowly lay down on two iron racks, letting the rain hit his face.

With his hands open, he looked dreamily at the rain falling straight down.

A slight carelessness could lead to falling from above, a twenty-meter height, likely to die from the fall even before zombies could bite.

But he remained fearless, indifferent to the zombies below.

After decades of cultivation on the mountain, he couldn’t grasp the Dao.

Coming down from the mountain during Doomsday to save people, he realized the true meaning of life in the stop-and-go.

Equating all things, making one forget praise and disgrace;

Equating life and death, making life neither joyful nor fearful of death;

Equating oneself and others, allowing one to forget the small self and move towards the carefree big self.

He had seen through life and death, and penetrated the essence of life.

Because he understood the essence of life, his heart was clear, leading to a carefree realm without anticipation.

Indifference, desirelessness, ultimate freedom.

This is not passive, but a pursuit of the natural trajectory, conforming to nature.

Everyone will follow their own trajectory for development.

”Vanity of vanities, all is vanity.” This is recorded in Ecclesiastes Chapter One of the Bible.

As Israel’s greatest king, Solomon’s words bear an uncanny resemblance to the Taoist sayings. Having seen all sorts of things from his high position as king, Solomon still found everything to be vain.

The reason for the vanity is that everything has its set time, meaning it’s not transferred by personal will. Everyone will follow their own trajectory for development. And all the material things one obtains remain vanity after death.

The more wise people understand, the more they see injustice in society, which conversely makes them suffer more.

He understood all this, and adapting to nature was the way.

......

For Li Yu, his purpose of living was merely to protect his family and friends, to live well.

He was ruthless and cruel towards enemies, kind and friendly towards his own people, and this was his way.

Big Camphor Tree Base.

Within the Inner City.

Li Yu held his second brother Li Hang’s daughter, Li Ke’ai, smiling as he swayed back and forth.

Li Ke’ai was already over two months old, her big eyes flickering, her skin fair and tender, seemingly ready to squeeze water out.

Her little hands grabbing here and there, her bright big eyes stared blankly at Li Yu, not noisy, not troubled, just staring intently.

”Feels like little cutie is a bit heavier than before.” Li Yu said with a smile to Li Hang.

Li Hang looked at his daughter with a loving fatherly gaze, and said, ”Her weight hasn’t increased much yet, but according to Aunt Zhou, children start gaining weight faster after three months.”

Li Yu gently handed little cutie over to Li Hang, saying, ”Spend more time with her, kids grow up very fast.”

Li Hang nodded and touched his hand.

He laughed bitterly, ”She peed again, every time I hold her she pees. I won’t say more, I’m going to deal with this.”

After speaking, he headed downstairs.

Li Yu watched Li Hang’s back, the smile at the corner of his mouth never changing.

Since the last weekly meeting clarified the core tasks of Big Camphor Tree Base going forward, everyone had some understanding and knew what needed to be done moving forward.

In the evening, the rain continued.

This rain had not stopped since yesterday.

The zombies outside the walls had begun stacking up, but thanks to the mobile switch blade developed by He Bing and others, there had been no issues.

Only, at noon today, Old Dong heard the sound of the mobile switch blade, and after inquiring with He Chao, he learned about the existence of the mobile switch blade.

He couldn’t help but marvel, and with permission, He Chao took Old Dong up the wall to closely observe the operation of the mobile switch blade.

Old Dong made an astonishing remark, suggesting that the mobile switch blade could be upgraded to become more intelligent.

The current mobile switch blades are scattered in various places along the walls, using the same power.

The power in each place is the same.

However, the density of the Zombie Tide is not the same everywhere.

As a result, in some places below the walls, there aren’t many zombies, yet some power is used.

But in places with high zombie density, such as the direction of the gate leading to the rural road, facing the largest number of zombies, the Zombie Tide is larger, yet the same system is used as in places with low density, so the power usage is the same.

Old Dong suggested that the mobile switch blade could upgrade itself to adaptively detect pressure and allocate power, enhancing power where there are more zombies and diminishing power where there are fewer zombies.

Without increasing power, it could allow the current mobile switch blade to exert greater effect.

Upon learning this, Li Yu immediately told Old Dong and He Bing and others to discuss it, planning to upgrade right after this rainy season.

About to go downstairs to see how Old Dong and the crew were progressing.

Li Yuan suddenly ran up, looking at Li Yu with a hesitant expression.

”Yuanzi, what are you doing? What’s up?” Li Yu asked curiously, looking at her.

”Well, big brother, Sister Xiaozhu came looking for you. She’s in my room now, asked me to see if you were upstairs.” Li Yuan said.

When Li Yu heard this, he thought for a moment and said, ”Have her come up.”
