Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Chapter 1177: Chapter 732: Zombie Butcher, Crushing the Opposition!

The night was deep and dark.

Zombie roars rose and fell.

They staggered forward from the cement road.

Standing on the wall, Ju Tianrui and the others felt their palms slightly sweaty, watching the zombies nervously.

It had been a long time since they defended against a Zombie Tide under such a low wall.

Now their only relief was that it wasn’t raining.

Under the illumination of the floodlight, everything was clearly visible.

Zombies were like a tide, the cement road resembling a sluice gate, with zombies continuously pouring towards the orchard from the road.

The pitch-black mountains and forests held a sense of mystery.

The zombies below flowed like water, slowly moving to the low orchard nearby.

In the open space outside the main gate, just fifty or sixty meters away, zombies densely packed.

They opened their bloody mouths, roaring, firmly stepping towards the main gate.

Dapao turned on the floodlight, the sudden brightness illuminating the area of the zombies.

The Zombie Tide hesitated a bit, but in the next second, they continued to walk towards them.

The tide surged.

Even knowing that without rain, zombies couldn’t stack up, seeing so many zombies in the dark brought a suffocating sense of oppression.

A gust of evening wind blew.

The bloody smell from the orchard wafted outside, inciting the zombies outside even more.

Amidst the roars, zombies near the wall picked at the surface with their dry, decayed fingers, causing a teeth-grating sound.

Thump thump thump!

A series of impacts were heard, zombies using their bodies to hit vehicles parked at the wall breach.

Li Yu did not give any commands; everyone stayed put, quietly watching the ocean-like zombies outside the wall.

In their view, the originally empty land outside was already crowded with zombies.

These zombies were temporarily blocked by the wall and couldn’t enter inside.

But the bodies of the Western Alliance people who initially climbed over the wall to escape had already been devoured.

Even the blood splattered on the wall stimulated the zombies to constantly lick the surface.

As the number of zombies increased, even a car weighing one or two tons was pushed slowly by many zombies.

Crack crack!

Seeing this, Li Yu immediately gave the order.

”Ju Tianrui, use the crossbow to kill some zombies, don’t let them push the car away.” Li Yu took out the walkie-talkie and directed Ju Tianrui to begin action.

Ju Tianrui was ready when he saw the vehicle slightly move.

Then he directed thirty or so on his side to all shoot arrows.

Aiming at the position of the vehicle.

Swish swish swish——

Three waves of arrows in succession killed dozens of zombies.

The danger near the vehicle was alleviated.

Other zombies seeing their fallen companions gave up chasing distant humans and started devouring the dead zombies beside them.

Crunch crunch——

As time passed, the density of zombies outside increased.

These zombies pressed against each other, advancing towards their direction.

The wall was only 20 centimeters thick, and Li Yu worried that too many zombies might exert a force and collapse the wall.

So he instructed people in all directions to start using crossbows for counterattack.

Arrows flew out like rain.

Instantly, hundreds of zombies died, but this was just a tiny fraction of the Zombie Tide.

It could only slow the zombies’ impact.

Wave after wave of arrows, like raindrops.

In such a high-density Zombie Tide, they almost didn’t need to aim, shooting randomly was enough to kill a zombie.

Through this method, they disrupted the zombies’ forward direction by targeting different spots.

The zombies around the dead ones stopped advancing and began feeding on the fallen ones.

As time passed, they continuously shot arrows.

Two hundred people, averaging over twenty arrows per minute.

Every five minutes, they concentrated shooting within one minute, disrupting the zombies’ advance rhythm.

In five minutes, nearly 400 zombies would die.

Then during their feeding, it greatly slowed their attack rhythm.

Also, it reduced the pressure on the wall side.

A dozen zombies pushing the wall was nothing, but outside the wall, there were more than a thousand, and behind them even more zombies crowded forward; with the wall only 20 centimeters thick and soaked by previous rains, it was likely unable to hold, eventually collapsing.

Therefore, they couldn’t let too many zombies get close to the wall.

Maintaining the rhythm of shooting 400 arrows every five minutes, they kept up for two hours.

The time reached eleven at night.

In this span, nearly ten thousand zombies were killed.

But the sheer number of zombies, there seemed no decrease.

On the cement road, zombies continued pouring in, replacing those just killed or devoured.

Everyone had been using crossbows for two consecutive hours.

Every five minutes, needing only concentrating shooting for a minute, didn’t leave them too tired.

But soon an accident occurred, a car near the main gate side was pushed open by zombies.

Even though Third Uncle and the others immediately shot arrows towards those zombies, they showed no fear, rushing towards the open gap.

Third Uncle decisively controlled the heavy machine gun mounted on the RV, firing at the breach.
