Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Chapter 834: Chapter 612: Bring Out the Artillery (Second Update)

The Kunyu Building is a landmark in this area, ranking in the top three in terms of height.

The glass reflected the morning sun, appearing golden and glittering.

Li Yu and his group drove to the vicinity of the Kunyu Building.

The Third Uncle, who was at the front, stopped and said to Li Yu, ”Should we first check the situation in the basement of the Kunyu International Building, or should we directly take out Gan Shang and his group?”

Li Yu thought for a moment and said, ”Let’s leave the Kunyu International Building alone for now, minding our own business, and first deal with the situation at Juzi Island.”

Then he started laying out the tactical planning again:

”Let me repeat the overall action plan.

Soon, we will first commence two rounds of shelling. After the shelling, we will enter through the Kampong Road Tunnel, break down the gate, force our way in, kill the enemies, and control the situation.

The specific action orders are as follows:

Luo, Old Bi, you two will take the truck and mortars to Chaozong Sect’s position and set up the position there.

Xiao Jun, you now take thirty people and go around to the opposite side of the river, block the other side of the Kampong Road Tunnel, they can only leave through the Kampong Road Tunnel. When you hear the action order, you attack from the opposite side.

Uncle Qin, Third Uncle, we have brought sniper rifles, and at that time, you will be responsible for sniping from the nearby building, providing remote support if things don’t go right.

The rest, follow me through the Kampong Road Tunnel into Juzi Island.

Does everyone understand?”

”Understood.”

”Understood.”

”Understood.”

Then Li Yu said again, ”Alright, let’s synchronize our watches now.”

Everyone checked their watches.

The plan for the operation was set, and there were no major issues with the action details.

Everyone began to disperse and take action.

Suddenly, Li Yu had a feeling.

He looked at the Kunyu Building, realizing he had overlooked the instability factor of the Kunyu International Building.

Although up to now, he hadn’t seen the parking lot situation of the Kunyu Building, nor seen any people or other things.

But being always cautious, he liked to consider all possible factors.

So he said to Yang Tianlong, ”Tianlong, there’s something I need you to do.”

”Go ahead,” Yang Tianlong said.

Li Yu pointed to the Kunyu International Building and said, ”Yesterday when we came here, there seemed to be something in the building, but we haven’t specifically gone in to check. Later, you take two people to monitor here, anywhere nearby is fine, as long as you can see the Kunyu International Building.

Keep an eye on the Kunyu International Building; if you see anyone, report to us immediately.”

Yang Tianlong lamented, ”Xiao Yu, can we switch tasks? I want to check out the situation at Juzi Island.”

Li Yu persuaded, ”Don’t worry, this task is also very important.”

Yang Tianlong had no choice but to accept, knowing that once an order is given, it cannot be changed, and Li Yu naturally had his considerations.

Yang Tianlong drove the vehicle with a few people including Wang Cheng, choosing a suitable location for surveillance.

.....

Li Tie launched the drone, and through the drone screen, he could see what was happening at Juzi Island.

Li Yu looked at the drone’s screen; it seemed similar to when they came yesterday, with people still on guard on the surrounding walls, only with a change of personnel.

But the number of people hadn’t changed; there was neither an increase nor a decrease.

......

...

Juzi Island.

Gan Shang was still asleep, with three people lying on the large bed.

Among them were two women, both maids that Gan Shang had exchanged for with a minimal amount of food.

In the sunlight,

their graceful figures were strikingly displayed.

Their long legs reflected a white, cold sheen in the morning sun.

Gan Shang snored, having repaired cars until late last night, he was truly exhausted.

Downstairs.

Hai Chao walked out of the room; their food had been reduced by half in the past two days, with everyone’s rations reduced except for Gan Shang’s.

They naturally understood the reason for the dwindling food supplies and knew that Gao Ru took those people away to the Western Alliance headquarters to request food support.

However, Hai Chao was also somewhat worried.

Always relying on headquarters’ support gave everyone a sense of unease.

Once there was no support from headquarters, they would only have the northwest wind to drink.

Moreover, what worried him most was the prolonged natural disasters affecting the headquarters, the extent of which was unknown.

If the losses were too great, support might cease.

Gan Shang naturally wasn’t afraid; no matter how great the loss, his ration would not be in shortage.

But for their group, it was uncertain.

Baozi saw Hai Chao and signaled with his eyes.

Hai Chao noticed Baozi’s wink and raised an eyebrow.

He followed Baozi over.

The two arrived at a generator room outside the house, and Hai Chao asked in confusion, ”What’s up?”

Baozi hesitated for a moment and then said, ”I have an idea; I haven’t told anyone. You and I are like brothers, and I trust you.”

”Go ahead,” Hai Chao slowly said.

”Gan Shi’s condition is getting worse, and continuing like this is not an option. When Gao Ru returns, you take your people, I’ll take mine, grab the food, and we escape.” Baozi’s eyes sparkled brightly as he spoke these words.

Hai Chao was somewhat stunned by his words.

The last person who talked to him like this was Duan Mei, and he met a terrible end.

The content of Baozi’s words was very similar to before, giving him a very familiar feeling.

He looked at Baozi cautiously and thought to himself: Could this be another of Gan Shang’s tests?
