Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Chapter 729: Chapter 572: The Sunken Island, Darkness Begins! (Extra! 15,000 words for a monthly ticket)_4

Lao Lü recalled the coal they had brought back from the steel mill with He Chao and said, ”Don’t we still have coal? We can generate electricity with coal, especially since we have the equipment for coal power generation.”

Li Yu did not agree, regarding coal and diesel, these two resources, although they had stockpiled quite a bit for now.

But the days ahead are still long, and the toughest times are yet to come.

So he shook his head and said,

”For the time being, let’s not use these two types of energy. We use a little less each time; once they’re gone, it’s not easy to find more right now. First go and check the situation with the wind power generation and biogas power generation, then combine the current electricity consumption, and compile some data for me.

See what the ratio of production to consumption is. After that, we’ll have to adjust our electricity usage accordingly.”

Lao Lü also realized the importance of this matter; without electricity, their air conditioning would be useless, and without air conditioning, who knows how many people might succumb to the heat this time.

So off he hurried away.

Li Yu watched his departing figure and let out a soft sigh; the true test for the base was about to begin.

Before long, he arrived at the First Outer City and met the awake Ju Tianrui.

Third Uncle, old Qin, and old Luo were all there.

At that moment, Ju Tianrui was looking at Third Uncle with a look of shock. If it weren’t for his weakness, he’d probably have gotten out of bed to salute Third Uncle.

The reason was simple: ever since old Luo and others learned of Third Uncle’s real identity, they had shown great respect towards him.

Ju Tianrui felt the same; he had heard quite a few stories about Third Uncle.

In many people’s hearts, Third Uncle was like a mythical figure.

So, when Li Yu entered the room, he witnessed this peculiar scene.

Ju Tianrui was forcing himself to get up, but Third Uncle’s hand firmly kept him on the bed.

...

”Cough, cough.” Li Yu coughed twice.

Xiao Jun saw Li Yu come over and hurriedly said to Ju Tianrui, ”Camp Commander, this is Director Li, the one I just told you about. He’s the one who saved us.”

Ju Tianrui looked at the young and handsome man in front of him, dressed clean and sharp, like an unsheathed Treasure Sword.

He clasped his hands towards Li Yu, still forcing himself to sit up, and said, ”Director Li, thank you. Thank you all for saving us.”

Li Yu walked over slowly, smiling and saying, ”It’s nothing, please lie down and rest.”

The conversation returned to the friendly atmosphere from before, with Xiao Jun and Ju Tianrui discussing the situation at Big Camphor Tree Base.

Ju Tianrui curiously sized up Li Yu and had a few words he wanted to say to Third Uncle, but the timing wasn’t right.

Suddenly, Li Yu remembered something, slapped his forehead, and said to He Chao, ”I almost forgot about something. Go call over Dong Tai. I told him once Ju Tianrui wakes up, to come over for a visit.”

Then he turned his head towards Ju Tianrui and said, ”You survived thanks to your men. They are now in the Second Outer City; I’ve asked him to come over.”

In fact, Ju Tianrui had wanted to meet Dong Tai, but after hearing from Xiao Jun about some rules here, he didn’t know how to bring it up.

Hearing Li Yu say this was exactly what he hoped for, and he nodded vigorously, saying, ”Thanks for that.”

...

Outside the base, darkness still prevailed.

The drop in temperature, the sun obscured, caused some zombies to emerge from the corners.

They appeared to be the first batch of animals awakening from hibernation.

Undercurrents surged. The most dangerous time had not yet arrived.

Today was another explosive day of writing 15,000 words. For someone with clumsy hands like me, it feels so bittersweet, full of sincerity.

But seeing how impressive all the lords out there are, and that today we’re still on the monthly ticket chart, little chives here can’t help but scream: Brothers and sisters, you rock! (voice crack)

Please vote for the monthly ticket~~
