Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Captain Luo half leaned against the back of the rocks, listening intently.

It was indeed the sound of the Type 79 submachine gun; he was very familiar with it, as only the military possessed such weapons, and the gunfire was so dense, the number of people was definitely over thirty.

Could it be the military?

Thinking this, a glimmer of hope suddenly blossomed in Captain Luo’s heart, which had been resigned to death.

”Brothers, there’s hope for us, hold on,” Captain Luo said to the only two teammates left beside him.

Hearing the captain’s words, both teammates showed a look of surprise on their faces.

In despair, hope emerged; the feeling of hope on the brink of life and death was the most exhilarating.

The three of them exchanged glances; without words, they understood each other’s feelings.

Captain Luo took a bandage out of the first-aid kit and wrapped it around his right arm.

He had been enduring the pain, bleeding a lot, which made Captain Luo’s face a bit pale due to excessive blood loss.

”Captain, it seems like there’s no movement from the people opposite,” one of the team members said.

Captain Luo clenched his teeth and pulled the bandage tightly, finally securing the wound; it could only temporarily stop the bleeding, the bullet was still in his arm, and later, it would need to be extracted and treated with medicine powder.

Opposite.

Black Snake and his group had originally wanted to charge up.

But the sudden gunfire that erupted all over the mountain startled them.

The people by Rock Mountain, they knew well, were down to their last breath, only a few left.

Moreover, after these several charges, they also realized that this small team opposite might be out of bullets, otherwise, they would not fire so few shots.

Black Snake’s face looked terrible, having charged several times in front of this small Rock Mountain, and each time it seemed they would reach them.

Various accidents and problems occurred.

Now, the gunfire from behind irritated him more.

But this irritation lasted only a few seconds, followed by fright.

He knew that many of the prisoners who came with them had escaped, running down the mountain, and yet, in such a short time, gunfire erupted.

This indicated that those who had just descended the mountain had encountered the enemy, but who could it be?

At this moment, Black Snake was full of doubt, stopping in place.

His subordinates were also baffled, casting their gaze collectively towards the middle of the mountain.

The gunfire lasted for a while, then quietened down.

From the mid-mountain to the summit, it was only a matter of minutes.

Black Snake quickly figured it out, although many questions lingered, but as he looked around, he found that, including himself, only about a dozen people remained.

His heart ached.

They had come with over a hundred people, now only these few remained.

No benefits had been seized, and his side had suffered heavy casualties.

This was a losing trade.

”Boss, what should we do now?” a man with a thin voice asked.

Hearing the question, Black Snake quickly regained clarity; the gunfire from below the mountain was very likely the enemy.

Reluctantly glancing at Captain Luo and his team nearby, he was well aware that only a few people were left on the opposite side, but now his own subordinates were somewhat panicking.

Simply retreat? Descending from this mountain would inevitably encounter those people.

The team in front and the gunfire from behind were very likely the same group.

Caught in a dilemma.

Black Snake’s eyes shifted; at this moment, there was only one way.

Bang!

He fired a shot into the sky.

He shouted loudly, ”Brothers, we don’t know the situation behind us, let’s take down the few people at the summit first.”

”Charge!”

Black Snake led the charge; this time he did not retreat or hide.

The loyal shrill-voiced man also shouted, ”Charge!”

Followed closely by the cowardly bird and the chick, they both followed suit.

Seeing their leaders charging ahead, the others felt their blood surge and their fear subsided.

They’ve been fighting this small squad on the mountain for so long, and haven’t overcome them, now only two or three are left, the people behind mustered their courage and charged forward.

Such a short distance, only a few seconds away.

Captain Luo and his team had just caught their breath, they had seen Black Snake and his team standing still just a moment ago, but now they were already crossing over.

Caught off guard.

Captain Luo and his team had been barely holding on, the tense atmosphere was somewhat relaxed upon hearing the 79 submachine gun from behind, and they let down their guard.

This relaxation gave Black Snake and his team an opportunity.

Actually, Captain Luo and his team were desperate, which was understandable, they were out of bullets, how could they fight, besides, they were injured.

At Rock Mountain, Black Snake charged to the front and shot one of the members in the arm.

Following him, the chick and the cowardly bird quickly raised their guns aiming at Captain Luo and his team.

Black Snake quickly said, ”Don’t shoot, I have use for them later.”

The urgent voice instantly stunned the cowardly bird and the chick, who looked at Black Snake somewhat confused.

Black Snake said, ”Let’s control them first.”

As soon as he finished speaking, the other juniors rushed forward eagerly, as they had been suppressed in the confrontation with this squad.

Now they finally captured them.

Captain Luo and his team wanted to resist, but under the threat of the guns, they had to comply.

Black Snake saw that these three were controlled, and sweat broke out in an instant.

The previous fight with them had been so difficult.

Unexpectedly, leading the charge fiercely just now, they had actually captured them directly.

Picking up a gun that had been confiscated from Captain Luo, he checked its magazine.

Wow!

There wasn’t a single bullet.

No wonder, they had no resistance.

Just now, when they were only a few meters away, one of the members had stood up trying to resist, but he had no bullets.

Damn!

If I had known earlier, I would have charged sooner.

He then said to the high-pitched voiced man, ”Keep an eye on these people.”

...

Halfway up the mountain, Li Yu and his team encountered some prisoners and dealt with them in an encounter, then swiftly continued up the mountain.

They didn’t meet any other obstacles on the way.

Everyone moved fast, and within five minutes, they reached the front of Rock Mountain.

Approaching, they saw corpses all over the ground, all prisoners.

Li Yu was in the lead, seeing no one.

Third Uncle moved strangely, zigzagging left and right, then suddenly looked behind Rock Mountain.

He said, ”There are people over there.”

Li Yu looked tens of meters away, where some bodies in military uniforms lay.

”Be cautious,” Li Yu said.

Everyone slowed down, hiding their bodies behind trees, eyes fixed on Rock Mountain.

The most eye-catching thing on the mountain was a big hole in the center.

There were some rocks beside the hole; it appeared to have been recently blown open.

The hole, they were told, led to the grain storage they heard about.

Li Yu also looked eager, but dared not take anything lightly.

He knew that the people on the other side all had guns.
