Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

The exposed grinder, like an open bloody maw, devoured all the zombies.

These zombies were oblivious to it all; the loud noise from the vehicle attracted them to surge forward.

Right at the front of the vehicle, the zombies were directly fed into the grinder and crushed into the metal press, where a tremendous force turned them into shreds.

Then they were discharged from the back.

Dapao drove the vehicle slowly forward.

Behind the vehicle, a mess of unrecognizable zombie corpses was left.

Limbs and fragments scattered everywhere.

Li Yu stood on the surrounding wall watching the vehicle slaughter below, nodding in satisfaction; it seemed the vehicle’s modifications were quite effective.

At this moment, Li Gang popped out from the roof of the vehicle, glanced around at the zombies, and then waved at the people on the wall.

His face bore an excited and thrilled expression.

Dapao drove the vehicle back and forth through the Zombie Tide, clearing an area.

The sight of this steel beast made everyone’s blood boil, and they too wanted to go down and give it a try.

Li Yu looked at them and shouted from the top of the wall, ”Alright, go ahead and try it, but don’t go too far and come back soon.”

Dapao really enjoyed driving the vehicle, but then he checked the fuel level, wow!

The sight gave Dapao a shock; it hadn’t been half an hour yet, and the diesel display showed that one-tenth had been used.

You should know, when they set out, they had filled it up with diesel, but now so much had been consumed suddenly.

You should know that although the vehicle was large, its fuel tank was also very large; this rate of fuel consumption far exceeded that of a typical excavator.

Tut-tut-tut-tut～

Dapao then drove the vehicle slowly towards the gate.

Li Yu watched the vehicle approaching and instructed Li Haoran to open the gate to let them in.

As soon as the gate was opened, the zombies outside swarmed in toward Weng City; fortunately, at this time, there were no people inside Weng City.

Two zombies, in the congestion to enter Weng City, were directly crushed by the vehicle’s huge tires.

Ka-ka-ka～

The gates of Weng City were lowered and closed.

Li Yu and his team skillfully picked up their crossbows and aimed at the zombies inside Weng City to eliminate them.

Swoosh～

Plop～

Under their shooting, the zombies were eliminated one by one.

Dapao and Li Gang sat on the roof of the vehicle, laughing as they watched Li Yu and the others.

Li Tie beside Li Yu, seeing their earlier massacre outside, was filled with envy, itching to go down and replace them.

Li Yu glanced at Li Tie and said with a smile, ”Don’t worry, once your injury heals, there’ll be plenty of chances.

I hope you all learn from this experience.

Whenever you leave the base, no matter for big or small tasks, you must be fully armed, well-protected, and never careless.

If you had taken proper protective measures initially, would you be limping like this now?”

Li Tie lowered his head and said in a deep voice, ”Brother, we were wrong last time, we know our mistake now, and we will definitely be careful in the future.”

Li Yu glanced at him, this lesson indeed made them suffer, hopefully, they would truly learn from it.

...

Dapao and Li Gang came out from under the vehicle after all the Zombies in Weng City had been dealt with.

This test did not include the testing of a Heavy Machine Gun, after all, it really requires using real bullets, and up until now, there’s no way to self-supply bullets.

So, it is necessary to use bullets sparingly.

After Dapao came out of the vehicle, he found Li Yu.

Li Yu asked, ”How was it? How does it feel to drive it? From what we watched atop the walls, your zombie-killing efficiency was pretty high.”

Dapao and Li Gang looked at each other, and Dapao spoke first, ”I was mainly driving. From that position, the feeling is.

Firstly, basic protection is not a problem, the Zombies, no matter how numerous, couldn’t shake the vehicle much, perhaps because the car is quite heavy, so the Zombies couldn’t really push it.

I think the safety and protection exceeded expectations, very strong.

Secondly, stability, I initially thought if we were surrounded by Zombies, it would be tough for our car’s tires to move, but unexpectedly the vehicle’s power was so strong, it just ploughed forward, the Zombies couldn’t stop it.

.....”

Li Yu nodded, it seems this vehicle modification was quite successful.

Then Li Gang also spoke, ”I mainly tested the weapons, particularly when the chainsaw was activated.

First, the advantages; indeed, the killing efficiency is very high, and the material of this chainsaw is good, hardly any wear and tear.

But there’s a downside, which is the lack of a splash guard, the blood and flesh from the Zombies outside sprayed chaotically, some even reaching the driver’s seat.

Besides this chainsaw, I also stood behind the vehicle to observe, the height there is relatively safe, but the protection still needs to be strengthened, as there are two spots where Zombies could easily climb up.

...”

Both mentioned some pros and cons of the vehicle; the advantages are quite clear, that is the vehicle has strong protection, powerful drivability, and high zombie-killing efficiency.

However, there also many shortcomings, which need to be addressed one by one.

So, Li Yu said to them, ”Such a test is meaningful, at least it identified some issues, and we can improve based on these.

Alright, work hard and resolve all the problems exposed this time.”

”Yes, Big brother.”

”Yes, Brother Yu.”

Li Yu waved his hand, and both men tactfully descended the wall, walked to the vehicle, and drove it back to the auto repair shop.

He Chao was very interested in watching the gradually departing vehicle, and Li Yu, seeing He Chao’s gaze, said, ”There’s something you need to pay attention to.”

Hearing Li Yu next to him, He Chao quickly withdrew his gaze and asked, ”What is it?”

Li Yu calmly said, ”The crops planted in the Outer City, you need to find someone to take care of them, it has been raining continuously.

Although this rice won’t exactly die from flooding, being submerged continuously can cause rotting at the roots, affecting the yield.

When you go back, have someone clear the water and look after it.”

Upon hearing this, He Chao immediately nodded and said, ”Okay, I’ll get someone to handle it after I return.”

Li Yu nodded slightly and said, ”Alright, nothing else for now, you can head back first.”

He Chao left the wall and headed towards the Outer City.

Li Yu watched He Chao’s retreating figure, thinking about those newcomers still in the Outer City.

Ever since Lao Wang and those other rioters were promptly dealt with by Li Yu and his crew, the other Survivors have been very obedient, without any complaints.

They really shouldn’t have any complaints, Li Yu and his team kindly sheltered them in the base, either that or they face the Zombies themselves.

At least, inside Li Yu’s outer wall, although they aren’t provided any food, at least, they are safe.
