Our Anniversary, You Chose Her – I Chose Divorce

Iris Yates had no chance to dodge as he pulled her into a crushing embrace.

His embrace was so forceful it felt like he was trying to squeeze her into his very being. She quickly grew flushed and couldn’t breathe.

She struggled to turn her head away, pushing at him. ”Let go of me, I’m so hot...”

When William Quinn heard her, his eyes instantly brightened. ”Hot? Then let’s get your clothes off. You’ll cool down once they’re off.”

His hands moved even faster than his words. In a few deft movements, he had stripped Iris Yates’s dress off.

William Quinn pulled her close again. This time, his lips fell upon her skin, kissing her inch by inch, marking her with his scent and his presence.

Iris Yates’s gaze was hollow, filled with despair.

’She didn’t know if she’d ever make it back to her country, back to her mother’s side.’

’She’d been missing for almost a month. Did her mother miss her? Was she crying every day?’

’What about Chloe and Cherie?’

’Were they heartbroken too?’

She had tried to fight back, but William Quinn had brought her straight to a remote island, accessible only by helicopter.

’There was simply no hope of escape.’

”Why aren’t you paying attention, baby?”

Just then, William Quinn’s dissatisfied complaint sounded in her ear. He bit her earlobe, not forcefully, but the tingling, numbing sensation that shot through her was like an electric current.

Iris Yates bit her lip, trembling with shame and frustration.

”Don’t bite, baby. You’ll make your lip bleed, and that would break my heart.” William Quinn kissed her again, coaxing her teeth away from her lower lip with his tongue.

Iris Yates was nearly powerless to resist him.

His voice murmured ”baby” in her ear again and again as her body was dragged into a bottomless sea of desire, surrendering over and over.

William Quinn held her tight, kissing her with an obsessive fervor, possessing her every inch.

”Baby, I love you so much. Baby, we’ll be together forever.”

He would whisper the same words, over and over, as they both reached the peak of their pleasure.

Iris Yates never responded. She simply closed her eyes, waiting for the afterglow to fade from her body.

”I want to go for a walk.”

Her voice was hoarse when she made the request.

”I’ll go with you.”

William Quinn agreed to her request and carried her into the bathroom. But then he asked, ”Baby, your legs are shaking so much. Will you be able to walk? How about I find you a wheelchair? I could push you. Or I could carry you on my back.”

Iris Yates was speechless.

”No need.”

She pushed his hand away. ”I’m fine. I want to take a shower by myself. Get out.”

A flicker of disappointment crossed William Quinn’s blue eyes as she pushed him away, but he quickly grabbed her hand again. ”Let me wash you. I promise I’ll make you smell all sweet and fragrant.”

The words had barely left his lips before he leaned in to kiss her. ”Actually, my baby already smells delicious. And look, little Quinn is saying hello.”

Iris Yates was speechless.

By the time they finished bathing, nearly another hour had passed. William Quinn had actually procured a wheelchair and forcefully sat her in it before pushing her outside for a walk.

Iris Yates’s hands were clenched tightly, her heart filled with hatred for him.

’But she didn’t dare let it show. The man was a complete psycho. She was terrified he’d lose control. What if he killed her?’

’Survival came first.’

As they left the massive manor, she saw a magnificent and exquisitely designed courtyard. Passing servants, all in uniform, bowed to William Quinn without expression before quickly moving on, like automatons devoid of emotion.

Iris Yates felt completely out of place, as if she didn’t belong here at all.
