Our Anniversary, You Chose Her – I Chose Divorce

”Why is she suddenly coming?”

”Tch!”

William Quinn sneered and said, ”It’s because the person she wants dead is still alive and well, of course. She can’t stand it anymore. She wants to kill them herself.”

After saying that, he hung up without waiting for Walker Grant to respond.

It was just a transaction, each party getting what they needed.

He had no need to explain anything more to Walker Grant.

Whether Chloe Reed lived or died was up to her own capabilities.

He hung up the phone and pushed open the door to his study. A glint of excitement appeared in his blue eyes. He went straight to another room and pushed open the door, revealing an enormous and exquisitely furnished space.

Heavy velvet curtains, embroidered with a repeating pattern of interlocking rings, hung by the windows. Tassels cascaded from the top, adding an air of nobility to the room.

A massive crystal chandelier refracted the bright light. A European-style king-sized bed occupied the most prominent position, its filigree headboard a complex stack of intricate, delicate patterns.

A thin quilt of the finest satin was draped over the girl on the bed. Her arms were exposed, her skin fair, but dotted with faint red marks.

Her eyes were closed, her brow slightly furrowed. She was sleeping restlessly.

”My baby.”

William Quinn walked over and leaned down, kissing her obsessively. ”What are you dreaming about? Why are you sleeping so restlessly? Tell me, won’t you?”

He murmured as he licked and kissed her lips, then plunged his tongue deep into her mouth, coiling around hers. He sucked at every inch of the soft flesh within before thrusting deep, as if to pierce her throat.

”Mmph...”

The kiss jolted Iris Yates awake. She was nearly suffocating and instinctively began to struggle, pushing at him, trying to force him out.

But this only made him more excited.

He sucked harder, and the root of her tongue began to go numb.

After a long moment, he finally released her, though he clearly wasn’t satisfied. He licked the corner of his mouth, his blue eyes gazing at her with obsession. ”Baby, you smell so good, you’re so soft and so sweet. I like you so, so much. I wish I could live inside your body, every second of every day.”

Iris Yates was furious. She raised her hand and slapped him across the face. ”You’re a bastard!”

William Quinn wasn’t angry. Instead, he narrowed his eyes in enjoyment before taking her hand in his. ”Baby, does your hand hurt? Don’t do it yourself next time. Just tell me where you want to hit me, and I’ll do it myself, as much as it takes for you to feel better.”

He kissed her palm with aching tenderness, as if she were the one who had just been terribly wronged.

His demented, pathological behavior terrified Iris Yates. The color drained from her face as she wrenched her hand away, scrambling to put some distance between them.

”You lunatic! When are you ever going to let me go?”

William Quinn knelt on the bed, his back slightly hunched as he looked at her with a helpless expression. ”What do you mean, ’let you go’? Aren’t we in a relationship? We have such a sweet romance, and you enjoy it too, don’t you? I remember last night... you were crying, and when I tried to pull out, you just clamped your legs together...”

”Shut up!”

Humiliated and enraged, Iris Yates raised her hand to strike him again.

But William Quinn caught her hand, then slapped himself across the face. ”Baby, don’t you do it. I’ll do it myself. Did I say something to make you unhappy? Don’t be unhappy. I’ll stop talking.”

His tall frame lunged forward, wrapping her in a tight embrace. ”We’ll never be apart. We’ll never be apart for the rest of our lives. We’ll even die together, okay? My baby.”
