The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 822: Chapter 822: The Explosion Incident

Lin Tian took a deep breath and said to the phone, ”Don’t rush, tell me what’s going on, we’ll solve it together.”

”Our factory has exploded, eight people died, and fourteen are seriously injured,” Bai Shishi said.

Lin Tian paused for a moment and then reacted, asking, ”Is Ruyan okay?”

”Ruyan is fine, the explosion happened at the processing plant for our White Lotus Muscle Powder, the casualties are all regular workers.”

Listening to Bai Shishi’s anxious tone, Lin Tian also sensed something was amiss here. Eight dead and sixteen seriously injured, this was already a very serious accident.

Lin Tian’s brows furrowed instantly, ”How did the explosion happen? Can a pharmaceutical factory explode?”

”The police have already intervened, the cause is still being investigated, but this has blown up big, there are rumors about our company everywhere, I suspect it was those people from yesterday,” Bai Shishi said angrily.

Lin Tian also felt that this incident was closely linked to Luoyan Dock, the explosion at the pharmaceutical plant, maybe the common folks outside don’t know. But Lin Tian knows fully well, this must be someone’s setup.

That’s eight lives! As long as they use these eight lives to make an issue, they can put Qiansimei under intense scrutiny, with just a little carelessness, this rising company could turn into a public enemy overnight.

Furthermore, besides those lives, the outside world is also very concerned about whether White Lotus Muscle Powder uses chemical drugs. After all, its effect is extraordinary.

”What’s being said outside now?” Lin Tian asked.

”They’re saying our medicine is mixed with chemicals. Our factory has been temporarily shut down, the police said they need to investigate. I’ve already told the marketing department to stop sales.”

Lin Tian nodded thoughtfully and said, ”Right now, the most important thing is to first comfort the families of the deceased and seriously injured, as for the factory, just watch it closely.”

”I know that, I’ve already started on it. It’s just that I’m in a bad mood now and want to vent to you.” Bai Shishi’s voice carried fatigue.

Lin Tian pondered for two seconds and said, ”I’ll go over now.”

”Why are you coming over? You can’t really help with this stuff, don’t worry, I can handle it alone.”

”Who says I can’t help? Your safety is the most important now.”

”Is it that serious?”

”Ha, you think our opponents are kind souls? They blew up eight people; it’s very possible they could target you; I’m coming over now.”

”Okay!” This time Bai Shishi didn’t refuse and was instead quite happy. Being prioritized by Lin Tian felt really reassuring.

After hanging up the phone, Lin Tian still wore a worried expression. The feared trouble finally arrived, but he reluctantly accepted that it targeted his business, as it was somewhat fortunate amidst misfortune. If aimed at his family and friends, that would be the worst.

Liou Qingcheng was beside him, not intentionally listening to the call content, but still caught bits of it, momentarily neglecting intimacy and quickly helping Lin Tian with his clothes, kindly saying, ”Be careful on the road.”

Lin Tian patted Liou Qingcheng’s hand warmly and said, ”Relax, I promise nothing will go wrong.”

”Also, Shishi is having a tough time; spend more time with her.”

”Hmm?” Lin Tian’s body froze briefly, turning to glance at Liou Qingcheng.

This seemed off, right? Shouldn’t she ask him to return quickly? Why let him spend more time with another woman?

Liou Qingcheng nudged Lin Tian, teasingly said, ”What are you looking at? Hurry and get dressed, Shishi is waiting for you.”

From her clear eyes, Lin Tian couldn’t discern anything. She seemed to know everything and nothing at the same time. The only certainty was her recent words were sincere.

...

Lin Tian donned the bulletproof vest given by Bai Shishi, wore a human skin mask on his face, had the Black Dragon Dagger at his waist, and carried a gun with some hidden weapons.

These were items he carried daily when going out, yet Lin Tian still felt it wasn’t enough. If possible, he’d want to bring a few grenades, but that was clearly unrealistic.

Driving to Xianglong Tea House, Lin Tian put on his Bluetooth headset and dialed Wu Yong’s number.

Once connected, Wu Yong said, ”Tian, you’ve heard already?”

”Duh, who wouldn’t know about such a big incident? Why didn’t you tell me earlier?” Lin Tian retorted irritably.

”Haha, I was just about to tell you.”

”Okay, enough joking, let’s get to business. What really happened with the explosion? Don’t tell me you don’t know.” Lin Tian said.

The factory that exploded also fell under Black Gold’s security. Although they couldn’t prevent the explosion, if they’re unaware post-explosion, their existence would serve no purpose.

”The explosion this time is quite suspicious. It was a series of explosions; the plant collapsed entirely. Frankly, losing eight lives this time is considered few.”

”That serious?” This indeed shocked Lin Tian.

No one understands White Lotus Muscle Powder’s production process better than Lin Tian. The most hazardous step was the high-temperature baking, even so, it shouldn’t result in a chain of explosions!

”Have they found the source of the explosion?”

Wu Yong sighed lightly and said, ”No, but what’s certain is someone tampered. The surveillance footage only captured unrelated things. However, Tian Ming and others have an idea; they believe there’s a mole inside.”

”A mole?” Lin Tian hadn’t considered this, but hearing Wu Yong say it, it seemed possible. ”Keep investigating; the factory is under police control now, but I don’t trust them completely, our people are more reliable. We should have someone who can get in, right?”

”It’s a bit challenging; the scrutiny on this case is intense, countless eyes are watching. Inserting personnel might be difficult.” Wu Yong said.

”I don’t care how challenging it is; our people must intervene!” Lin Tian asserted firmly. If the matter slipped entirely from his control, it’d be like putting his neck on someone else’s blade.

Lin Tian suddenly missed Xu Ning’an. If that girl were here, she might offer some help.

”Alright, I’ll arrange it soon.”

Lin Tian suddenly remembered something and quickly said, ”Also, dispatch some skilled brothers to bring my parents over, temporarily settle them at the company. If they ask about me, just say I’m on a business trip.”

”Rest assured, Tian, I’ll handle this perfectly!”
