The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 817: Chapter 817: Testing the Medicine on Myself

”Celestial Dome and Millet Root are both rare medicines with unique properties. These two medicines are generally used to treat stomach ailments and have never been heard of for stopping bleeding. However, both medicines have anesthetic properties; it is said that Hua Tuo’s lost Anesthetic Powder contained these two medicines.”

Qu Rongguang paused and said, ”However, the dosage of these two medicines must be very precise. Too little has no effect. Too much can damage the nervous tissue, possibly causing paralysis or brain death.”

Lin Tian rubbed his nose. A professional can spot expertise instantly. No wonder he’s an old friend of Zhao Xuefeng.

Hearing this, Lin Jingrong’s eyes widened, his voice inadvertently rising, shouting, ”Are the side effects that severe? Can this medicine even be used?”

”These matters, you’ll have to ask Lin Tian.” Qu Rongguang looked at Lin Tian and mumbled, ”Wait, did you just make this medicine here?”

”Yes, indeed.” Lin Tian nodded as if it were only natural, ”The matter was urgent, so I brought it over right after making it. If I had more time, I would have added some spices to avoid stinging your eyes.”

”That doesn’t seem right? Although I don’t know how the medicine was made, judging from its color, smell, and fineness, there should be many processes involved, taking at least half a day, right?”

Lin Tian smiled slightly, then pointed to a room behind him and said, ”I just finished making it in that room; it’s still a mess inside. Indeed, under normal circumstances, this medicine would take at least eight hours. I just took over forty minutes, but rest assured, this medicine is reliable.”

”Over forty minutes... how did you do it?” Qu Rongguang asked, his voice wandering, clearly a bit incredulous.

As if anticipating the question, Lin Tian replied with a smile, ”You should know Luoyan Dock, right? I used a bit of alchemy.”

On hearing this, Qu Rongguang suddenly understood.

As the leader of Tang City’s Mystic Medicine Practitioners’ District, he naturally knew what kind of place Luoyan Dock was.

As for alchemy, he had dabbled in it but only skimmed the surface; he didn’t know much more.

”You can perform alchemy?” Qu Rongguang was even more surprised, his gaze at Lin Tian started to change, finally laughing, ”Young man, you have too many surprising talents.”

Lin Tian rubbed his nose, feeling a sense of unease. This little old man’s gaze seemed unusual as if he had a request to make.

”Alright, alright.” Lin Jingrong waved his hand and said, ”You can talk about alchemy later. Let’s first discuss this Celestial Dome Hemostatic Ointment. Just now, old Qu also mentioned that this anesthetic effect could lead to paralysis and brain death. Is it really that formidable?”

Lin Tian chuckled and shook his head, ”Sir, this ointment absolutely doesn’t have the anesthetic effect because some other auxiliary medicines have been added, leaving only a slight anesthetic effect.”

Qu Rongguang was startled, widening his eyes, and looked carefully at the ointment again, then asked in surprise, ”With no anesthetic effect, are the two medicines still effective?”

”Of course, they are still effective. That’s also why the medicinal properties were activated by baking them over a fire.” Lin Tian said candidly.

”Seeing is believing, I still want to see the actual effects of this ointment.” Lin Jingrong said.

”That is certainly not a problem.”

As he spoke, Lin Tian pulled out the Black Dragon Dagger from his waist. Before he could take the next step, the gaze of a nearby thirty-year-old youth changed warily, his hand reaching towards his waist as if ready to pull out a black pistol at any moment.

Lin Jingrong turned his head, signaled to the youth, and the tense atmosphere eased a little.

”Sir, please watch.”

As he spoke, Lin Tian placed the blade of the Black Dragon Dagger on his left palm and slashed fiercely.

Shhh...

This was the sound of the blade entering the flesh. At the same time, a patch of bright red blood oozed from Lin Tian’s palm, dripping along the blade onto the table.

”Ah... Lin Tian, what are you doing? Have you gone mad?”

Bai Shishi covered her mouth and screamed, the blood flowing continuously like a small river. Judging from the amount of blood flowing, the wound was certainly not shallow.

Bai Shishi clumsily tried to help stop Lin Tian’s bleeding, but panic left her clueless about what to do.

The expressions of everyone else in the room shifted, showing disbelief, even seasoned Lin Jingrong opened his eyes wide.

Lin Tian raised a faint smile, reassuring Bai Shishi, ”It’s fine; I’m not bleeding too much.”

”This, this isn’t too much? If you exerted a little more force, it would almost cut to the bone...”

”If the wound isn’t deep enough, how can we demonstrate the ointment’s effects?”

Lin Tian smiled as if nothing was amiss, warmly.

Next, he used the dagger to scoop some ointment and applied it onto the wound on his left hand.

Magically, the ointment turned liquid upon contact with the blood, blending with it to adhere to the wound.

Blood that had been flowing incessantly stopped gradually in the next moment.

Everyone’s eyes fixated on Lin Tian’s wound, their breath held in suspense.

One second, five seconds, ten seconds... after about twenty seconds, the wound scabbed over.

Lin Tian moved his hand again, no matter how he flexed or extended his fingers, the wound remained intact, proving its sturdiness.

”Sir, you’ve seen the effects. From stopping the bleeding to scabbing took just about half a minute. Moreover, this medicine can blend with human blood, enhancing its stickiness. If bandaged, the effects would be better.”

Lin Tian spread out his palm in front of everyone, demonstrating it exactly as he described, without any deceit.

Lin Jingrong was at a loss for words for a moment, then said, ”You, this young man... quite remarkable. I’ve seen the effects of this medicine; it’s amazing. If it’s truly without side effects as you say, it will be a blessing for our Celestial Dragon Continent.”

Lin Jingrong’s words elevated this directly to the national level, arousing a sense of pride in Lin Tian.

Which person from Celestial Dragon Continent wouldn’t want to contribute to their country? Especially such significant contributions!

”Rest assured, sir, this medicine is an ancient formula used by many generations, with absolutely no side effects.” Lin Tian declared confidently, ”The secretary already took a sample for testing; the results should be available soon, barring any surprises.”

”Haha, that’s good.” Lin Jingrong nodded with a smile.

This was the first time Lin Tian saw this leader smile, simple and genuine.

Suddenly, Lin Jingrong asked, ”Young man, would you mind letting me take a look at that dagger in your hand?”
