The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 579: Chapter 579: I Dance Better Than Them

Feeling the unfriendly gazes from so many eyes, Charlson felt like his heart was going to jump out of his throat.

He waved his hands repeatedly and said, ”I’m not talking nonsense, you have to trust my professional judgment!”

”The dancing in the video looks great because the people in it all have similar stamina. Look at you guys now, five men and four women, three of the women can’t even hold a handstand for long. Before you finish this routine, someone’s going to run out of stamina, and then the problems will be exposed. Even if you complete all the moves, it definitely won’t be in sync.”

What he said made quite a bit of sense.

Street dance is indeed a highly stamina-consuming activity. If you lack stamina, the moves won’t be smooth, and in severe cases, it could lead to injuries.

However, those members in the video have all been hospitalized by Li Tianmu’s group, making further training completely unrealistic.

As for Xiaomiao and these girls, they were simply brought in by Mi to make up the numbers... Currently, they’re the only members left in the street dance room.

So the disparity in strength is indeed a very serious issue now.

In an instant, people’s gazes towards Charlson changed again. They didn’t expect this seemingly unreliable coach actually had some skills.

”Mi, now that Old Lu and the others are in the hospital, and some are seriously injured, they won’t be able to attend the welcome party.” Xiaomiao said anxiously, ”How about... we intensify our training and serve as substitute dancers?”

Before Mi could speak, Charlson interjected, ”I don’t support this suggestion. If you want to achieve a good result, you can change people now, but for these girls to improve their stamina in a short time is not easy, and it would also affect your studies.”

”Then what do we do...”

Charlson continued, ”I have a suggestion. You could first contact your team members to see if they can come. If that’s really not possible, hire some street dance experts from outside the school to help. People from outside the school can participate in the welcome party, right?”

”Yes, it’s just an event; the school doesn’t manage it that strictly.” Mi replied.

”I happen to know a few reliable street dancers about your age, and the cost won’t be too high. Shall I contact them for you?” Charlson asked.

”Alright.” Mi nodded. She really didn’t want to miss this opportunity because if she didn’t participate this time, she would graduate next year, and might not have another chance. Moreover, would Jiang Pan Die come next year?

Suddenly, Lin Tian stepped forward and said, ”Mi, you asked me and Qingcheng to practice dance a few days ago, why not let us try?”

”Uh...” Mi hesitated, finally holding back her words.

In fact, her real intention a few days ago was to let Lin Tian join; his presence alone was eye-catching. As for Liou Qingcheng, with her dance foundation, perhaps she could really be groomed a bit.

But the current situation is quite awkward. Most of the street dance club members have been injured, Mi couldn’t really expect Lin Tian, someone who’s never danced, to step up.

What’s that saying? Better to have none than substandard.

”You two... don’t do street dance, do you?” Mi eventually asked.

”I don’t, but I can learn. A few days should be enough, right?” Lin Tian said.

Liou Qingcheng standing by his side added, ”I have a dance background, so it’s not a problem for me to practice for a while and get on stage. As for Lin Tian, that’s not so certain...”

”...” Everyone was speechless.

Charlson widened his eyes and asked Lin Tian, ”Learn in a few days? Buddy, have you practiced street dance before? Can you do a handstand? How about a split?”

His questions were exactly what others were most concerned about.

Lin Tian honestly shook his head, ”I haven’t learned any of it, but it seems pretty simple...”

”...” Everyone was speechless again.

If Charlson didn’t feel he couldn’t beat Lin Tian, he definitely would have roared, ”Get as far away as possible!”

Unfortunately, Charlson didn’t dare.

But the expressions of other members of the street dance club became rather strange.

You have to know, back when they were learning, just achieving a handstand required a month of practice, not to mention moves like robot dance. Xiaomiao practiced for two years to reach her current skill level.

This guy actually thinks he can learn in a few days and perform on stage? Did a donkey kick his brain?

Mi covered her face, feeling embarrassed for this guy. How come he speaks without thinking?

Lin Tian felt helpless under everyone’s gaze. He was telling the truth—maybe in less than a few days, he really could perform on stage.

Liou Qingcheng looked at Lin Tian, who was getting embarrassed, and covered her mouth, laughing. His expression was quite a rare sight.

”Qingcheng, during these days when you don’t have classes, come train, okay? I think you could get it down pretty fast.” Mi said.

”Sure.” Liou Qingcheng naturally didn’t mind.

As for Lin Tian... nobody paid him any attention anymore.

...

Liou Qingcheng also changed into practice clothes—loose, yet secure.

However, when it came to practice, there really wasn’t much for Liou Qingcheng to practice.

Her foundation was too solid.

With the exception of some iconic breakdance moves, she could do almost everything else, like robot dance and the moonwalk.

So now she had to start with handstands; in her previous dance training, she had never needed to do handstands.

Others couldn’t help with this; she had to find her own balance.

Liou Qingcheng flipped her body and started practicing against the wall. Mi was beside her, coaching her, telling her about the techniques.

As for the other members, they continued practicing the previous routine. Just as Charlson had said, those girls couldn’t possibly complete it all easily.

And Lin Tian... it seemed he had given up and was by the computer, though nobody knew what he was doing there.

In the eyes of others, this guy had surrendered to despair.

In reality, Lin Tian was sitting on a chair, his eyes fixed on the screen, watching videos of Mi and the others dancing in the past.

After watching once, he watched it again.

After two times, he replayed it in slow motion, carefully analyzing each move.

His memory was extraordinarily impressive; otherwise, he wouldn’t have achieved the top exam score within just a month previously.

So after watching it five times, Lin Tian memorized all the moves, and the slow replay was to reinforce the impression.

After closing the video, he began circulating Spiritual Qi, adjusting his state to its peak. Then he did a high leg raise, bringing his leg directly to the top. This level of flexibility was near its limits.

Lin Tian was quite satisfied with his current state. Thinking of those still practicing dance, he walked over and said to Charlson, ”Coach, I think I dance better than them.”
