The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 564: Chapter 564: Help Me

Miaoqiu, who had fallen into the water, looked quite embarrassed, drenched from head to toe, including her sleek, long hair.

Fortunately, she wasn’t wearing heavy makeup; otherwise, after being soaked, she would’ve looked like a mess, which would definitely be unsightly.

Feeling tense in the water, Miaoqiu flailed her limbs chaotically, screaming, ”Lin Tian! Lin Tian! Hurry and save me! I can’t swim! I’m about to drown!”

Lin Tian tossed away the dagger in his hand but didn’t jump in to rescue her. Instead, he crouched by the pool.

With his elbows resting on his knees and his wrist supporting his cheek, he watched her in her embarrassing state and couldn’t help but laugh, ”Hahaha, Miaoqiu the great beauty, what’s that swimming style? Tsk tsk tsk, it’s truly unique.”

While speaking, Lin Tian suddenly remembered something. He took out his phone from his pocket, opened the camera app, snapped several photos, and even recorded a short video of about a dozen seconds.

”Lin Tian! You bastard!” Miaoqiu slapped the water angrily, creating splashes.

She had maintained this ’swimming style’ for half a minute.

”Alright, alright, stop swimming,” Lin Tian couldn’t help but shout, worried she would draw in Liou Qingcheng and the others with her loud calls later.

If that woman were to turn the tables, wouldn’t it be a disaster? Luckily, this place was some distance from the villa, and besides, the villa had great soundproofing, so Liou Qingcheng and the others hadn’t noticed that these two had already started fighting.

”Stop swimming, and I might die!” Miaoqiu angrily retorted.

”This water is only about one meter thirty, it won’t drown anyone,” Lin Tian said blandly.

”One meter thirty...”

Miaoqiu’s movements froze, her arms even sinking into the water.

She regained her balance and stood up in the water. The water level was at her belly button.

Compared to her prior awkwardness, Miaoqiu now looked like a delicate lotus emerging from the water.

Water droplets fell from her eyes, nose, mouth, and hair tips onto her swan-like neck, soft white shoulders, and sexy collarbone, making a ’drip-drop’ sound on the water surface.

The most eye-catching was her long dress floating on the water’s surface.

Centering around Miaoqiu, the dress spread open like a gorgeous peony blooming in the water.

It’s unclear what material the dress was made from, but it was slightly transparent when submerged in water.

Lin Tian had sharp eyes; even without the Fire-Eyed Golden Gaze, he could vaguely see into the dress, though it was very blurry.

Miaoqiu’s bosom heaved, her eyes brimming with anger as she glared at Lin Tian and uttered a cold snort.

She walked steadily on ten-centimeter high heels in the water, unaffected.

She walked up the pool’s stone steps, allowing her dress to slowly drop. Without the Fire-Eyed Golden Gaze, Lin Tian could no longer see into the dress.

Reaching the poolside, she took off her high heels, throwing them forcefully at Lin Tian like a little girl throwing a tantrum.

Faced with two ’hidden weapons,’ Lin Tian swiftly dodged.

”You made the first move on me, so I’ve already taken it easy on you,” Lin Tian replied lightly.

”Couldn’t you tell I had no intention to harm you?” Miaoqiu asked, somewhat peeved.

”Couldn’t see that; you pulled out two knives, almost slicing my face. I wasn’t outstanding before, finally got a handsome face, and if you ruined it, wouldn’t I fight you to the death?”

Lin Tian said, feeling aggrieved.

Miaoqiu’s forehead furrowed, holding back for a few seconds before saying, ”I know two knives couldn’t harm you, that’s why I took them out!”

”Hmph, you think I would believe that?” Lin Tian swaggered back to the swing chair under the peach tree, rocking contentedly, ”Just asked me to have a word, unexpectedly tried to kill me!”

”...”

Miaoqiu was somewhat lost for words, wondering why this guy was so stubborn?

Barefoot, she also sat in the swing chair, resting her head and sighing faintly.

Lin Tian glanced at her from the corner of his eye, noticing she was still covered in water droplets with waves rising and falling from her chest—a tempting sight.

Through this, Lin Tian once again judged she couldn’t use Spiritual Qi. If it were him, the qi would circulate rapidly, and his clothes would soon dry.

Who was Miaoqiu? Not mentioning her knowledge of Spiritual Qi, she faced various people daily, having long developed a pair of Fire-Eyed Golden Gazes.

Did she not realize Lin Tian was assessing her?

She didn’t mind, instead turning her face seriously saying, ”I didn’t want to kill you! I just wanted to test you!”

”Test? Test what?” Lin Tian felt a bit baffled.

”Test your skills, exactly how good they are,” Miaoqiu replied.

”Did you figure it out?”

”No, you... are unfathomable.” Miaoqiu paused, then a bright smile spread across her face as if nothing had happened earlier, her smile was still sweet.

Lin Tian couldn’t laugh, he suddenly felt targeted. ”Why did you do this?”

Miaoqiu seemed to have anticipated his question and prepared an answer long ago. ”Actually, it doesn’t count as testing. Your profile has been thoroughly investigated; your past achievements were minimal. Only in the last six months, you’ve shown too many highlights, especially your proficiency in Ancient Medicine caught my interest.”

”So?”

”Do you remember a few days ago on the rooftop, when you fought with the members of Ancient Martial the Wang Family? I witnessed it. Coupled with Qiansimei recently promoting beauty products in high society, I guessed you provided it, and it wasn’t an ordinary recipe—surely containing many rare herbs.”

”And then?” Lin Tian leaned back, gazing at the starry sky.

Miaoqiu wasn’t entirely correct; the recipe he gave Bai Shishi didn’t contain any rare herbs.

”Then I decided to test your skills. Despite hearing of your fight with Ancient Martial the Wang Family, I remained cautious. Now—after testing, I am much relieved.”

Miaoqiu chuckled again, her eyelids fluttering—a true enchantress.

”And what if you’re relieved? Do you intend to have me work for you?” Lin Tian asked calmly.

”Hmm... how should I put it? I want to ask you a favor. Just in a while...”

Before she finished, Lin Tian interrupted, ”No help!”

”You haven’t listened fully; how could you decide not to help?”

Miaoqiu sat up straight, feeling somewhat powerless toward Lin Tian.

”Why should I help you?” Lin Tian asked.

Miaoqiu opened her mouth to answer, but Lin Tian continued, ”Why are you asking me a favor with that attitude? Testing me? Using two daggers? Just because you think looking pretty and seductive will make me help you? Aren’t you being too self-righteous?”
