The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 556: Chapter 556: The Ball Changed Direction

”11 to 0!” Yan Xinrou stood on a chair and shouted, ”Qiao, you can do it! Go ahead and throw a few more balls!”

Qiao Jiang’s expression changed repeatedly, what does she mean by a few more?

The game quickly reached match point, with the score moving from 11:0 to 27:2. As long as Lin Tian made another three-pointer, the game would be over.

That’s right, Qiao Jiang’s team scored two points. Those two points were because Liou Qingcheng failed to dunk, missed the rebound, and the opponent made a shot.

Qiao Jiang and the two others were already panting heavily, physical exhaustion was secondary. The main blow was Lin Tian’s skills, which nearly broke them.

At least they scored two points; otherwise, getting a shutout would really be embarrassing.

They had tried to physically attack Lin Tian, but for some reason, every time their efforts were effortlessly deflected by Lin Tian.

Getting beaten up, do you think Lin Tian would let them go?

The answer is no.

So now the three of them were somewhat imbued with Spiritual Qi, which circulated with their blood, covering their entire bodies.

By the time they woke up the next morning, Lin Tian could guarantee that apart from having clear minds, they’d be completely powerless, as if paralyzed. Even if they went to the hospital, nothing would be found.

As for when they would regain their strength, it would probably take a month. Even then, they might still be half-dead, or even collapse.

Crushing the enemy physically is not as effective as breaking their spirit first.

This might be a very ruthless method.

If after a month their nerves are strong enough to withstand the pressure, they’ll be fine.

But if their nerves are too weak, they might need to transfer to a psychiatric hospital.

On the court, only five players were left playing, while Liou had already taken a seat to rest, as he was useless on the court. He figured he’d better sit down for a while. Anyway, Lin Tian alone was enough to handle those three amateurs.

Yan Xinrou was chattering beside him, ”Look at Lin Tian, he’s so handsome, skilled in medicine, a great cook, can go five times a night, and plays basketball so well. When will you learn from him?”

”No matter how good he is, he’s still my son-in-law!” Liou snorted heavily. Listening to his wife praise another man was a bit hard for him to swallow.

”How dare you? Your daughter has already been swooped away by someone!”

”...”

On the court.

Lin Tian was dribbling the ball, having a great time with a smile on his face.

Qiao Jiang and his team had already given up resisting; if this guy made another three-pointer, the game would be over. For Lin Tian, it was a piece of cake.

If only Qiao Jiang wasn’t too proud to surrender, the other two would’ve left long ago.

Who wants to be humiliated like this? They’re not masochists.

”Qingcheng, catch the ball.” Lin Tian shouted.

Liou Qingcheng was ready, she hadn’t really played much and had been watching Lin Tian show off.

Now, she was happy to finally get to play a bit.

The ball flew towards her, and Liou Qingcheng was prepared to catch it.

Suddenly! The ball veered off course!

Liou Qingcheng was stunned.

The ball traced a parabola in the air and then smacked right onto Qiao’s face!

But the ball didn’t stop there; it spun like a top, gliding against Qiao Jiang’s face.

Thud, thud, thud...

The ball finally stopped spinning, dropped to the ground, bounced a few times, and then rolled far away.

Looking at Qiao Jiang again, his face was marked with black, blue, and red streaks, looking very eye-catching.

The black was the ball imprint, the blue was bruising from the hit, and the red... was his nosebleed.

Qiao Jiang stood there dumbfounded, as if the hit had made him silly.

”Qiao... Mr. Qiao, are you okay?”

Little Blind acted as if he were really blind. How could someone be okay like that?

Qiao Jiang finally moved; it was the muscles on his face that kept twitching rhythmically.

Then, Qiao Jiang hurriedly took his phone out of his pocket, turned on the front camera, saw his own miserable appearance, and felt a surge of anger.

Qiao shouted at Little Blind, ”Are you blind? I look like this, and you ask if I’m okay?!”

”...”

Little Blind trembled, afraid to speak or look Qiao Jiang in the eye.

Qiao Jiang stormed toward Lin Tian, looking furious, pointing to his damaged face, and yelled, ”How do you explain this?”

”What do you mean how to explain? Oh, isn’t this Mr. Qiao? What happened to your face? You lost, but you don’t have to self-harm, do you?” Lin Tian looked at him with disdain, even taking two steps back and muttering, ”Don’t let your stupidity infect me!”

Qiao Jiang felt something caught in his throat, it choked him up so much he couldn’t speak, he almost suffocated.

”You hit my face with the ball!” Qiao Jiang roared.

”Did I?” Lin Tian turned to Liou Qingcheng.

”Yes, you said you’d pass me the ball, but it suddenly veered off!” Liou Qingcheng was a bit resentful. I haven’t even played much, just watching you show off!

Lin Tian shrugged innocently and said, ”You heard it too, the ball suddenly diverted. It’s not my fault. Why don’t you take it out on that ball?”

”Not your fault? You’re the one who threw the ball!” Little Blind stepped forward and loudly accused Lin Tian.

”I did throw the ball. But it decided to act up and veer off on its own, what can I do? I even suggested you take it out on the ball. After all, that ball costs dozens! I wouldn’t usually play with it that carelessly!”

”... Are you the one who feels wronged?”

Qiao Jiang wanted to curse so badly, he wanted very much to curse out Lin Tian’s entire ancestry.

But with Liou Qingcheng present, he couldn’t. He had to maintain his gentlemanly demeanor.

”You need to give me an explanation for this, right?” Qiao Jiang growled.

”How about this: tonight at dinner, I’ll serve you an extra dish of donkey-hide gelatin. How’s that sound?” Lin Tian suggested tentatively.

Qiao Jiang wanted to curse even more. Is this something that can be settled with a dish of donkey-hide gelatin? And it’s my treat anyway! And it’s several times more expensive than outside! Do you think I’m stupid?

Suddenly, Qiao Jiang had an idea, ”No need, I’ll go to the hospital later to see a doctor myself. We’ll just keep things separate, alright? You should cover the medical fees, right?”

I’ll have them run lots of tests and choose the priciest medications. Get that cheapskate to bleed some money.

Lin Tian shook his head, ”No need for all that trouble, I’m a traditional healer, I can take a look for you.”

”You take a look?” Qiao Jiang shouted, stepping back, ”No need!”

He was afraid of really getting disfigured.
