Chapter 191: Chapter 191: So Many Ursaring

Chapter 191: So Many Ursaring

”Lorelei?”

Brock hesitated for a few seconds, then an excited expression appeared on his face as he pressed, ”Ash, Misty, the Lorelei you just mentioned, is she the Ice-type Elite of the Kanto region?”

”It’s her! What’s wrong, Brock?” Misty looked at Brock with confusion.

”You actually know Lorelei, one of the Elite Four, and you didn’t tell me sooner! I’m a fan of hers, Miss Lorelei~~”

Brock was serious for the first half of his sentence, but the second half immediately revealed a lecherous grin, exposing his true thoughts.

Seeing Brock’s lecherous grin, Misty couldn’t sit still any longer. She reached out and precisely pinched Brock’s ear, ”Brock, what on earth is going through your head!”

”Ouch, ouch, ouch!”

The pain in his ear brought Brock instantly back to reality from his fantasies.

He asked seriously, ”By the way, how did you two actually meet Miss Lorelei?”

”Oh, that! When we were traveling in the Orange Islands, we passed by Tangerine Island, and Lorelei happened to be on vacation there, so we met.”

Ash paused, remembering something, and added, ”Right, I forgot to tell you, Brock. Misty is now considered a disciple of Lorelei, and she’s someone who will sit on the throne of the next generation of the Elite Four.”

Such explosive news left Brock dumbfounded, ”Huh? Misty actually became a disciple of Lorelei, one of the Elite Four? Isn’t that too absurd?”

”Absurd? Do you mean I’m not worthy?”

Misty was furious.

Her entire background seemed to be ablaze with anger.

This scorching rage made cold sweat run down Brock’s face.

Brock was nearly scared to death and hurriedly explained, ”Ka... Misty, I... I didn’t mean that, I meant that this matter...”

Suddenly, a giant fishing net shot out from the forest, capturing all three of their Pokémon.

Then, the familiar Meowth-shaped hot air balloon slowly rose from the forest.

”Why is it you idiots again!” Ash said, speechless.

”Ash, you’re the idiots! We are the Elite Team Rockets! Today, we’re taking all your Pokémon with us!” Jessie laughed.

”That’s right, we caught a great opportunity. Pack them up and take them! Hahaha~” James also became smug.

”See, this is the power of the auxiliary engine for mass capture, Meowth!”

”You three are dreaming. Staryu, use...”

Before Misty could finish her command, a beam of white light shot out from the other side of the forest, directly shooting down the Team Rockets’ hot air balloon.

”What?”

”What happened?”

The Team Rocket Trio were confused.

”Misty, Brock, quickly recall your Pokémon, there’s big trouble!” Ash hurriedly warned.

”Yeah!”

Although they didn’t know the specific situation, Misty and Brock still followed suit.

The next second, a large number of Ursaring walked out of the forest. Upon seeing Ash and the others, they opened their mouths without a word and fired Hyper Beam.

After Ash recalled all his Pokémon, he grabbed Misty’s hand and shouted, ”Run! There are at least a thousand Ursaring in this forest.”

Hearing this, Brock also bolted to keep up with Ash’s pace.

”What?”

The Team Rocket Trio also realized the severity of the problem. They didn’t bother to pack up any useful items, got up, and ran to keep up with Ash and the others.

The Ursaring had no intention of letting Ash and the others go and chased after them, using Hyper Beam.

”Ash, why are these Ursaring so aggressive?” Misty asked, puzzled.

”This season is when Ursaring breed. Anyone who enters their territory at this time will be subjected to indiscriminate attacks,” Ash explained.

The Team Rocket Trio followed not far behind them, shouting, ”Ash, save us!”

”There are too many Ursaring. If you want to live, run faster.”

Ash didn’t have the leisure to stop and take hits for these three true protagonists. These guys had plenty of HP and were tough enough; if they got hit by Hyper Beam, at most they’d just get that ”we’re blasting off again” feeling.

As the two groups ran, they became separated.

Sensing no traces of Ursaring around, Ash breathed a sigh of relief, ”Whew~ We’ve temporarily shaken off the Ursaring. Pikachu and Eevee are here. Misty, Brock, are you both okay?”

”I’m fine,” Misty said.

However, the person following them wasn’t Brock, but James. James said with a fearful look, ”Ki... Ash, why is it you guys?”

On the other side, Jessie and Meowth, who had run to another fork in the path, also realized they had followed the wrong people.

”Damn, something went wrong after all.”

Ash had pulled Misty along with him precisely because he was afraid of this situation. He didn’t expect that the person who got separated this time would be Brock. What a miscalculation.

”Ash, let’s go find Brock first,” Misty suggested.

”Hmm... They must have taken the wrong turn at the last junction, but there are quite a few Ursaring over there. Let’s walk ahead and see. If that doesn’t work, we’ll have to cross the forest to find them.” Ash had a headache.

It wasn’t that he couldn’t beat those Ursaring, it was just too much trouble. If it were just a dozen or so, he could just catch them all like the Tauros and bring them back. But this entire forest was their territory, and there were at least a thousand bears.

He could guarantee that if he packed them all up and took them away, within three hours, Professor Oak’s non-stop calls would arrive, followed by the League knocking on his door.

Afterward, Ash and Misty began their search for Brock, and James, in order to make it out alive, had no choice but to join their search party.

On the other side, Brock also witnessed the absolute authority of Jessie as the leader. Meowth didn’t even dare to speak loudly, and even the mission to find James could be vetoed by Jessie. Under Jessie’s leadership, Brock ran wildly on the road to getting lost.

After several hours of searching, Ash still couldn’t sense any trace of Brock, and the sky was gradually darkening. After running for an entire afternoon, he was hungry, so Ash had no choice but to reluctantly pick up the ladle again.

Then James felt what it meant to have a gap. They usually worked themselves to the bone, and in the end, being able to eat a bowl of instant noodles per person was an extremely luxurious thing.

And as for Ash and the others, four dishes and one soup, and they could even ask for more if it wasn’t enough. What kind of divine life is this!

What’s even more absurd is that after eating, Ash and the others could stay in a capsule room and sleep on a soft bed. James was envy-ing to death; for them, being able to sleep on a park bench was considered a good day.

On the other side, Brock also took on the responsibility of cooking. Although it wasn’t as sumptuous as Ash’s, it was still streets ahead of the Team Rocket Trio’s food, making Jessie and Meowth almost cry.

This really verified the saying: there is no harm without comparison.

The Team Rocket Trio finally vaguely understood why Ash and the others called them idiots.

Despite this, their idea of catching Pikachu had not been dispelled.
