Pokemon: Reborn As Ash, I'll Conquer Every League

Chapter 167: Chapter 168: Valley

Chapter 168: Valley

After Team Rockets were driven away, the Pinsir tribe returned to their territory to live.

Before leaving, Ash captured a Pinsir that he found pleasing to the eye, and also received a Pinsir super evolution stone as a system reward.

After setting off again, Ash’s group walked for two days in the forest and arrived outside another canyon.

Brock studied the map for a while and said, ”As long as we cross the valley ahead, we’ll be able to see a town.”

”Still so far!” Misty said dejectedly.

With capsule technology, their camping in the wild was indeed not as miserable as in Kanto, but prolonged outdoor survival still made Misty feel a wave of fatigue.

”It’s not very far. If nothing unexpected happens on the way, we should be able to enter the town by noon tomorrow,” Ash calculated.

”Ah? It’ll still take another day!” Misty was even more depressed.

Brock put away the map. ”This is already the fastest way. If we go around the valley ahead, it will take at least two more days to see a town.”

Bang!

Bang!

As soon as they stepped into the outer perimeter of the valley, the three of them felt vibrations similar to an Earthquake.

”Is this an Earthquake?” Misty asked, gripping Ash’s arm tightly.

”It’s not an Earthquake; it should be someone mining something in the valley.”

Ash’s Aura told him that the vibrations were caused by a Pokemon.

”Mining? But the map doesn’t indicate any mineral deposits in this valley?” Brock asked in confusion, taking out the map again to search for clues.

In a valley, if vibrations occur frequently, it can easily cause landslides, and Brock didn’t want the team to be caught off guard.

”Brock, no need to look. I probably know what Pokémon is causing the commotion,” Ash said, looking towards the bushes ahead.

Inside the bushes, there was a blue Pokémon with a long nose and a body size similar to a pig, currently enjoying a leaf buffet.

”That’s... Donphan?”

Seeing the Ground-type Donphan, Brock wanted to take out his Poké Ball to start a capture battle.

Seeing this, Ash quickly stopped him: ”Wait a moment, Brock, that little Donphan should have a Trainer.”

Ash remembered that in the original work, Brock’s Onix was instantly defeated by the little Donphan’s Rollout and Agility.

”Eh?”

Brock’s body stiffened, then he looked at Ash to confirm again.

”Brock, you should be able to tell that little guy isn’t an adult yet. This place seems to be the famous Amberite Valley. The residents near this valley make a living by mining Amberite, and Donphan’s sense of smell is very keen, able to sniff out Amberite hidden in Rocks. Over time, raising Donphan to mine Amberite became popular here, so this valley is also known as Donphan Valley,” Ash explained.

”I see.”

Brock suddenly understood and then put away the Poké Ball in his hand.

As soon as he put away the Poké Ball, a girl ran over.

”Donphan, I finally found you!”

The girl’s expression was relieved when she saw the little Donphan eating, clearly she was the little Donphan’s Trainer.

”Ah! Beautiful lady, hello, my name is Broc...”

Before Brock could get close, Misty accurately pulled him away: ”Unnecessary people, don’t get in the way!”

”Who are you?” The girl looked at Ash and the others with some vigilance.

”Hello, my name is Ash. I’m a Trainer from Pallet Town, currently traveling to participate in the Silver Conference. This is my partner Pikachu and Eevee,” Ash introduced himself.

”Oh, hello, my name is Rochelle...”

Before Rochelle could finish speaking, Brock popped out again: ”Miss Rochelle, hello, my name is Brock. This necklace looks absolutely beautiful on you.”

”You mean this Amberite necklace?”

Looking at Brock’s obsessive gaze, Rochelle subtly moved back two steps.

”This is Amberite, it’s so beautiful!” Brock exclaimed repeatedly.

”Is this also a gem?” Misty asked, puzzled.

”Amberite is indeed a type of gem, but it’s not as popular as diamonds or jadeite, but its value is still quite high,” Ash explained.

It’s not Misty’s fault for not knowing; this world, in the end, revolves around Pokemon. To make a lot of money, one can only lean towards industries related to Pokémon. These agates and jades are relatively niche.

”Ash is right. The valley ahead is where Amberite is abundant. You are all Pokemon Trainers, and the Donphan around here all have owners. You must not let your Pokémon attack Donphan casually, as it can easily cause misunderstandings,” Rochelle reminded.

Ash nodded: ”Thank you for the reminder, Miss Rochelle, we will be careful.”

”Miss Rochelle, could you let us see the process of Donphan finding Amberite?” Misty suddenly asked.

”This...”

Rochelle was a bit hesitant, but seeing Misty’s sincere gaze, she nodded.

She took out a whistle and blew a few times, and then three adult Donphan came over. The adult Donphan’s tusks were comparable to ivory.

”This child is the youngest and is currently undergoing training to find Amberite, while they are the real main force. Follow me.”

Soon, Ash’s group, led by Rochelle, entered Donphan Valley.

The entire valley was practically filled with Donphan, truly living up to its name.

Just as Ash and his group were about to reach their destination, more than a dozen metal rings flew out from somewhere, accurately ensnaring the Donphan in the valley, including Rochelle’s three adult Donphan.

”What’s going on?” Rochelle exclaimed in shock.

”Since you asked so sincerely.”

”Enough talk, we’re taking these Amberite-digging Donphan, meow!”

A familiar voice came, and Ash and the others instantly knew who was behind it.

Following the ropes connected to the metal rings, they saw a robot resembling a Pinsir appear in the middle of the valley.

”Pikachu, use Iron Tail to cut those ropes!”

”Pika!”

Pikachu’s body flashed as it swung a massive slash at the ropes connecting the metal rings.

Crack!

Not only did the rope not break, but Pikachu was instead caught squarely by a metal ring.

”This time our equipment is an upgraded version. We’ve taken precautions against Pikachu’s electricity and the cutting power of its tail, meow!”

”Ash, we’ve grown too! We’ll gladly accept your Pikachu!”

”Big harvest, big harvest!”

Catching Pikachu for the first time, the Team Rocket Trio were extremely excited.

”How troublesome. Deoxys, give them a lesson.”

Deoxys transformed into its Attack Forme, placing a few tentacles across its chest, then gathered electric energy and unleashed an astonishing current, instantly piercing through the Team Rocket Trio’s robot.

Accompanied by a loud bang, the Team Rocket Trio directly exited the stage like a shooting star: ”This feels so annoying!”

After dealing with Team Rockets, Rochelle still led Ash and his group to witness the entire process of Donphan searching for Amberite.

”That’s really amazing! These Donphan can actually be used to collect Amberite!” Misty showed a shocked expression.

Rochelle said with some pride: ”These Donphan have undergone a long period of training to master this skill.”

When bidding farewell to Miss Rochelle, Ash asked for her contact information and also ordered a batch of Amberite ornaments from her, naturally using the best materials. The purpose of the order was, of course, to give them as gifts!
