Pokemon: Reborn As Ash, I'll Conquer Every League

Chapter 181: Chapter 181: Heracross vs. Scizor

Chapter 181: Heracross vs. Scizor

Soon, the group arrived at the battle arena inside the dojo.

Muramasa stood on the side of the arena: ”Each will use only one Pokémon. The match begins!”

”Go, Bre!”

Shingo sent out a Scizor.

[Pokémon: Scizor] [Type: Bug + Steel] [Gender: Male] [Level: Gym Intermediate] [Ability: Technician] [Potential: Elite] [Moves: Omitted]

His Scizor looked much younger than Muramasa’s Masamune, but its level was relatively much lower; Muramasa’s Scizor had Elite-level combat power.

Ash pulled out a Poké Ball. ”A Scizor too? Alright, then I’ll use Heracross to take it on.”

Seeing Ash’s choice, Shingo operated the computer again and turned the camera to face the arena. ”I see, Heracross? Not bad!”

”Bre, use Quick Attack!”

The Scizor moved rapidly.

”Heracross, use Swords Dance.”

Heracross twisted its body rhythmically. With the Aura vision provided by Ash, Heracross easily dodged the two large pincers swung by the Scizor.

”Such fast reaction speed! It’s already far beyond Heracross’s normal stats.” Shingo simply couldn’t believe his eyes.

”Bre, increase speed, Double Team!”

”Heh, since you know I won the Indigo Plateau Conference, you should know that Double Team is useless against me. Heracross, aim for the front left and use Horn Attack!”

Ash was speechless. Was this really a battle commanded by someone who had looked up his data? Did he not know that he was the bane of Double Team?

Heracross flew up and thrust its large horn in the direction Ash pointed.

Watching Heracross attack, Shingo couldn’t care about the computer anymore. He stood up and shouted: ”Bre, dodge quickly!”

Unfortunately, the Scizor’s speed was still a bit slow, and Heracross’s horn had already struck the Scizor’s abdomen.

Fortunately, Scizor had relatively high resistance to Normal-type moves, so it didn’t lose the ability to battle, but with its waist injured, the Scizor was in a lot of pain.

”Heracross, next use Fury Attack!”

Heracross swung its large horn, repeatedly jabbing at the Scizor.

”Bre, use Agility!”

The Scizor turned into several afterimages, dodging Heracross’s attacks.

”Now you shouldn’t have a chance to find Bre’s location, right?” Shingo shouted confidently.

”Your Scizor is fast, but that won’t help you win. Heracross, don’t panic. There is only one Scizor. Calm down and feel the changes in the wind; it will tell you the answer.”

Objects moving at high speed will definitely affect the changes in airflow. Of course, Ash’s Aura could also directly distinguish the Scizor’s movements, but this battle was also training for Heracross. Ash wouldn’t overly rely on Aura for battles where he could train his Pokémon.

Using Aura earlier was just to let Heracross stack Swords Dance. Once the Swords Dance was stacked, Ash withdrew his Aura.

Heracross closed its eyes, carefully capturing the changes in the airflow.

”What? Is there such a way to battle?”

Looking at Heracross’s actions, Shingo doubted if the data on the computer was fake; he had never seen such a battle style.

”Heracross!”

Sensing the Scizor’s position, Heracross thrust forward with a Superpower, hitting it head-on and sending the Scizor flying with one horn.

”Bre, hang in there!” Shingo abandoned the computer and shouted loudly.

The Scizor struggled to stand up.

Of course, under normal circumstances, the Scizor would have already lost the ability to battle, but Ash had accepted benefits from Muramasa, so he had been going easy from the start of this battle.

As for why it wasn’t Pikachu, the best actor, going up, it was naturally to cater to Muramasa, the patron. If Pikachu were sent up to act, Muramasa would probably doubt his life; after all, Pikachu had one-shotted his Masamune.

”Heracross, continue using Pin Missile!”

”Why? Why can your Pokémon exceed the data recorded in the files?” Shingo had started to doubt his life.

”I told you the answer before the battle. Battling is different from doing research. In research, you can let data do the talking, but in battle, the more you fight, the higher your fighting spirit rises. While Pokémon enjoy the fun of battle, they can unleash unprecedented power,” Ash said.

”Heracross, give it the final blow!”

”Bre, use Quick Attack!”

The two Pokémon clashed together again. This time, Shingo no longer relied on computer data.

Seeing his son’s change, Muramasa on the sidelines also became excited.

In the end, the result of this battle was naturally Ash’s victory.

”I lost this battle! Ash, thank you. I learned a lot from this battle.” Shingo bowed deeply to Ash.

Only now did he understand where the joy of Pokémon battling lay.

”You don’t just need to thank me, but also your father. However, given your strength, Shingo, you should go out and explore. I’ll be waiting for you at the Silver Conference!”

”Alright! Then see you at the Silver Conference. I will definitely bring Bre to beat you.”

Just as everyone was happy, the Team Rocket Trio had completed their mission.

”Yay! We got the stuff, retreat quickly!”

James pulled out the data cable from the computer and ran away; Meowth saw this and followed quickly.

Jessie, who knew nothing about computers, didn’t understand what had happened at all, so she asked: ”Wait a second, you haven’t explained what downloading is yet?”

”We’ll explain next time. If we don’t run, the Ash will discover us!”

In fact, these three guys had always been within the range of Ash’s Aura perception, but seeing that they had no actual bad behavior, Ash didn’t plan to pay attention to them.

The copied data didn’t actually have much practical significance. To Team Rockets, that data was useless, and only these three idiots regarded it as a treasure.

After collecting the reward promised by Muramasa, Ash’s group continued on their journey.

Hmm... After the three of them left the dojo opened by Muramasa, they didn’t walk towards the main road outside the forest, but walked towards a path leading to the depths of the forest.

Then, after walking for half a day, the road disappeared.

Ash hesitated for a moment and said: ”It’s over, it seems we’re lost again.”

”Wait a minute, let me study it.” Brock took out the Johto region travel guide and started flipping through it.

A few minutes later.

”What exactly is the situation, Brock?” Misty asked with some impatience.

”I think we might have accidentally entered a place not recorded on the map,” Brock said uncertainly.

”Hey, have you guys seen a Cyndaquil around here?”

At this moment, a very annoying voice came.

The group looked towards the sound and saw a boy with short purple hair and a very annoying look staring at them with unkind eyes.

”Cyndaquil? Are there wild Cyndaquil here?” Brock was immediately excited.

When he was at Professor Elm’s lab, he had taken a liking to Cyndaquil, and now it seemed there was a chance.

The boy saw that Ash’s group also seemed to be looking for Cyndaquil, so he threatened: ”Hey, I came here first. I warn you, you are not allowed to make a move, just stay here obediently!”

”Cut it out, what qualification do you have to order others around?” Ash wouldn’t indulge such a person, so he turned and said: ”Misty, Brock, let’s go, let’s find the Cyndaquil.”

Saying this, Ash fully activated his Aura to detect the traces of Cyndaquil.

Seeing that Ash and the others were going to get involved, the boy said angrily: ”Damn it, you guys!”

”For wild Pokémon, whoever finds them has the priority to capture them. If you don’t even understand this, are you even worthy of being a Pokémon Trainer? Let’s go!”

Not long after, Ash sensed an Aura reaction similar to Cyndaquil.

Just as he was planning to rush over, a giant Meowth robot descended from the sky and blocked the group.

Looking at the R logo on the robot’s stomach, Ash didn’t even need to guess to know who had come: ”Team Rockets, why is it you three?”

”Wahahaha, Ash, this time just obediently hand over Pikachu. This robot was built by us with a lot of money, specifically targeting your Pokémon!” Jessie’s confident voice came from inside the robot.

”That’s right, this is all thanks to the data collected by that Ash with the Scizor last time.”

”We are different from usual today, Meowth!”

”We have serious business to attend to now, we don’t have time to deal with you three idiots. I choose you, Deoxys!”

Ash knew that the robot in front of him must have been designed with anti-lightning measures, and might even have countermeasures for Pikachu’s Iron Tail, while other ordinary Pokémon did not have the power to instantly blow up the robot.

As soon as Deoxys appeared, it switched to Attack Form.

After seeing Deoxys, Meowth quickly said to James: ”It’s this strange Pokémon again, record the data quickly!”

”Okay!”

James pressed a button, and a high-definition camera started snapping away at Deoxys.

”Deoxys, use Zap Cannon!”

Deoxys shot a beam of lightning at the giant Meowth robot.

The beam easily pierced through the robot’s chest.

However, this time the robot did not explode.

”Having learned the lesson from last time, this time the important parts weren’t designed in the chest. Next, it’s our turn to attack. Meatball rubber bullet machine gun, fire!”

The robot raised one hand and fired pink rubber bullets at Ash and the others.

”Geez, wouldn’t it be better to just obediently get blasted off? Why do you have to do fancy tricks?”

Ash was a bit shocked; these three guys had actually improved.

However, with the Aura shield, their attacks did not affect Ash and the others.

”Deoxys, aim for the lower half of the robot, use Hyper Beam.”

Saying this, Ash himself also formed an Aura Sphere and smashed it towards the neck part of the robot.

Following the two attacks hitting, the robot went boom, sending the Team Rocket Trio into the sky. ”We’re blasting off again!”
